My family and I went to Angela’s in Tyngsboro for pizza on a Saturday afternoon after taking our kids to have their picture taken with their grandmother. We were seated in a booth and ordered our beverages. The waitress brought the beverages to us and accidentally spilled a large glass of ice water all over my 7 year old daughter. Luckily we had a change of clothes in the car, otherwise we would have left, so I quickly took my teary eyed daughter to get dried off and out of her soaking wet dress clothes. My mother also got wet, but unfortunately did not have a change of clothes and had to spend the remainder of the meal cold, wet, and uncomfortable. When I returned from the car with my daughter, I asked my mother and husband what the manager said and they informed me that not only did the manger not come over to our table, but that the waitress was acting like everything was great. Seriously? We eat out quite a bit and have had a manager come to our table on numerous occasions to apologize to us for very minor things. I would think that in restaurant terms spilling something on a patron is hardly minor, so I was pretty appalled that they were brushing this off as if we spilled the water on ourselves. So, I patiently waited assuming that at any moment the manager would come out and apologize and ask if there was anything they could do for us. But I waited, and waited, and waited… nothing. We finished eating our very expensive pizza and got the bill. Everything was on there. Now I’m not the type of person to make a scene. Clearly this was just one very bad waitress, so I paid the bill and proceeded to leave. My mother on the other hand, perhaps fueled by suffering through the last hour sitting in wet clothes, could not leave without saying something. She quietly pulled the waitress aside and told her that she was very disappointed with the way she handled this situation. She said she was expecting the manager to come out or something to be taken off the bill. The poor waitress looked so embarrassed and said that she did go in the back and informed her manager of what happened and asked what she should do and the manager instructed her to go about her business and act as if it didn’t happen. WHAT? Wow, I guess caring about their customers is not a priority. Not the smartest move when there are several dozen other restaurants to choose from within less than a mile radius and in New England good pizza is not exactly hard to find. Needless to say we will never go back to Angela’s again. To me, dining out is not just about the food, it’s about the experience. When you are spending over $50 for two large pizzas, it would nice if you were treated like your patronage matters and that you are important to them as a costumer. After all, it’s usually repeat customers and word of mouth that keep a business alive.

The short story: Overall the experience was a disappointment. I might try it again, but would be more inclined to try some place new. Two of us ordered takeout. We got a large pizza with 4 vegetable toppings - roasted sweet peppers, roasted mushrooms, coal fired caramelized onions, artichokes. Half the pizza also got a pepperoni topping. On the plus side, the large pie is really large, 18 inches in diameter. The crust is nice - a little chewy, but not tough, and lightly charred. The veggie toppings were all fresh and delicately roasted. The caramelized onions didnt seem truly caramelized; not as dark as Id expect, more as if they were sauteed lightly. But that was okay. However, there were a few minuses: both the cheese and tomato sauce were very lightly applied, barely noticeable. Its a mystery why there was so little. The same goes for the toppings. At $2.50 per topping, Id expect heaps of each type. Instead each slice had just a few pieces of each topping on it. The pepperoni slices had 3-4 pieces of pepperoni per slice; were not talking giant pieces of pepperoni, either, since each piece was 1.5 inches in diameter. I prefer a lot of pepperoni on my pizza, and found this disappointingly little. The same goes for the other toppings - they were just too sparingly applied. We also got an order of chicken wings. The menu does say that they are marinated in lemon juice and spiced with rosemary and garlic. I dont much like rosemary, so I didnt love the wings. They seemed okay otherwise, perhaps a little too overcooked for my preferences.

Amazing pizza! Located a stones throw away from Roller Kingdom, this place has a unique coal fired oven. I ordered for the prosciutto, spinach and garlic pizza with Alfredo sauce, and a small order of wings for takeout. Took 20 minutes since they were pretty busy at dinner time, but the wait was worth it. The pizza was thin crust, light and delightful. It was gorgeous on the top and bottom (perfectly done without burning). I would have liked slightly more dense toppings, but it tasted great. The wings were soft and fall off the bone tender, but it may be an acquired taste. They used a lemon rosemary thyme marinade that was new to me and did not quite win me over. I will definitely be back to try more pizza and maybe even give the wings another try.

We like to go to Angelas either before or after a movie and absolutely love their pizza! However, the last time we were there, I was bit put off by the grease on the supposedly clean table at which we were seated by the hostess. I also witnessed a server use her ungloved hands to transfer a guests leftover pizza into a takeout container. Finally, I noticed a large cobweb hanging from the ceiling pretty close to the top of our table. We would definitely return because we love the food, but I would caution the owners to pay more attention to cleanliness.

Maybe more of a 3.5, pretty good but nothing super special imo. Crust was nice and crisply, well browned, but the sauce and cheese (IMO) seemed more of a food -service quality than I usually get at local pizza places. Not bad, but just not the best. Try it, you might like it. I can say if you look around, you notice that most everything above eye level is dirty and dusty..seeing pipes overhead with enough dirt on them to write my name was concerning....made me wonder of cleanliness in the kitchen...

I love pizza. Im very particular about it. Most pizza is good pizza. some pizza is bad, very few pizzas are really great. Angelas pizza is great. Sauce, cheese and toppings that are fresh and flavorful. Nice thin crust. Weve eaten here a number of times and have not has a bad experience with it. Id definitely recommend the chicken wings for an app, flavorful with a little charring on them. And a good beer selection to boot!

They dont care for the customers. Wrong timings. They mentioned closing at 11 PM on Friday and Saturday. We reached there 10 past 10 on Friday, and they said their kitchen already closed at 9:30. They werent sorry about it, rather when we asked travelled all along to come there. They said our customers call us in advance. Really? Restaurant is customer service, and remember customers pay you. Not the other way around.
