Not sure what the stellar ratings are all about. The food is prtty good but the experience leaves much to be desired. We had dinner there last night and there a few things about this place that need to be addressed (owners...take note). Its a small place so diners are close together. Not a problem but since the tables are so small they should really re-think the huge dining plates and serving bowls. Our food barely fit in the table. We were trying to move dishes around like a puzzle. Also, please please please create some sort of privacy division between the restaurant and the back prep area. You know, the area where all the dirty dishes get piled up and take out gets bagged. Its awful to have to listen and watch that area with all its chaos. We watched several diners ask for a different table when they were sat back there. I would have too. Make some space in the restaurant. Soften up the room so every fork or knife that drops doesnt create a shocking disturbance for all the diners. So, I dont like the tight, loud dining room. I could barely put on my coat as we got up to leave. However, I do like the food. I think the lunch buffet is a better bet.

Guys: In the Buffet: they almost made me instantaneously sick from stomachache and bloating problem. I literally ate a plate and a half worth of food (much less than any amount of food I eat anywhere else) and I could feel bloated. THANKS FOR PUTTING TONS OF BAKING SODA IN EVERYTHING PERHAPS, I COULD LITERALLY FEEL THE PAIN AS I WALKED OUT OF THIS PLACE. What a TERRIBLE way of making up for 7.99 buffet. I will never go their buffet again. Dont get me wrong, their food tastes pretty good but how good is it if it BLOATS you half way through your meal and makes you almost close to sick when you walk out afterwards. There should be a BAKING SODA ABUSE LAW instituted. Perhaps me or any of you who might have had the same issue report them. I WILL NOT RECOMMEND their buffet at the least.

Came here on a whim for lunch while visiting friends who live nearby. The food is delicious!!! Nothing subtle about these flavors! We had the lunch buffet- reasonably priced at $10.95 on a Friday. The atmosphere has a modern bistro feel- very small, but they make the space work and theres surprisingly a lot of room inside. Constant flow of people during the lunch hour- seems to be popular. The Kali Merch Tikka chicken was moist and flavorful. I also loved the Choley (chick peas) and Chicken Tikka Masala. Add some mint chutney on the side, and you have a great meal :)

I was so pleased with the buffet I had today I had to write in. Homemade pickle, lovely food, great chai and lassi (not included). Moreover, the servers were very nice - one even encouraged me to try some of their wonderful dessert (from the buffet - not extra) called rasmalai (I think). He also noticed I wasnt feeling my best, and brought me chai to make me feel better. Overall, a wonderful experience and I would encourage you to try this reasonably priced restaurant with fresh and excellent food!

Had the lunch buffet on a Saturday. Fairly limited spread, and not very pleasant service experience either. There are plenty of other places that offer a larger, better tasting spread at lesser prices. The bhatura (bread) on the spread had gone cold and the staff didnt replace it with fresh ones even on request. It was as if we paid the price for a lower turnout on the day by having to eat cold food. Hardly any options available for vegetarians, especially considering the 16$ price point.

I go to a lot of Indian restaurants, and this one is by far my favorite. They have a very nice buffet with really, really good grilled chicken. They have very tasty chai tea in a pump thermos so you dont have to pay extra and can refill to your satisfaction. They have a great menu also if you like (the dosas are my favorite). As for service, Ive never has a bad experience. The only complaint I have is that its a little bit tight in there; the tables are close together. Enjoy!

The best Indian food I have found in greater Boston. Dinners are moderately priced considering good portion size and excellent qualities. Cream sauces (kormas, tikka masalas) are especially well done. At lunch the buffet is superb and unbelievably cheap. Much better than inferior buffets costing 50% more. My father claims the chicken tikka is better than his mothers chicken fricasee. This is high praise indeed! (My father thinks he doesnt like Indian food.)

Dinner on Sunday night therefore it was A la carte. The 5 dishes that we selected were very tasty, and spiced just right, full of flavors but not too hot (Mild). Also, the amount of food was generous but not too much. The service was courteous but on the slow side (if you are real hungry, order appetizers to hold you over). The price was very reasonable, just shy of $20 / person (without alcohol). Overall, we would recommend this restaurant.

Мои индийский друзья нашли это место. Цена/качество - одно из лучших мест в Бостоне. Сервис "5", кухня "5", цены "5". Обед стоит 7-8 баксов. После такого обеда можно и не ужинать.

We ate the lunch buffet this afternoon. The food is certainly tasty, however, the food is extremely heavy. Both my wife and I did not feel hungry for over 12 hours! We spent the whole day feeling stuffed and not feeling well in general. We have eaten Indian food in several places and we have never had such problems before. The food is very greasy/oily and certainly has a ton of MSG in it.

A friend of mine recommended this place to meet for a weekday lunch, because it was near my work, and she loved the food from a previous visit. After we ate, she decided the weekend buffet is superior to what we had on a Tuesday. The food was good enough that I walked away with a full belly, but not so good that I would go out of my way to return.

Given an estimate of 45 minutes for delivery, I called after 1 hr and was told it was on the way. 30 minutes later, they admitted they had lost the order, yet insisted on charging for it. Unbelievable. This is in sharp contrast to face-to-face service at the restaurant, which is generally good. Evidently politeness is lost over the phone.

I had the worst biriyani ever in my life at this restaurant. I got some kind of itchness around my mouth after eating kebab. Chicken seem to be 10 days old. Service is very bad. The place stinks a lot. No go for my friends. Zero star to the place.I felt like, these guys are spoiling well earned name and fame of Indian dishes.

Love this place for their lunch buffet. Delicious in general. Love the tandoori chicken, with all the flavor but no red coloring. Decent salad, nice soups. Everything looks fresh and tasty. The service is rather meh, but I still recommend it. I *think* the owners are the same people behind Kashmir on Newbury Street.

The only reason they get a 4 star is becoz of their service. The food was very bland, my wife loved it. Even after asking for spicy Chicken dish I was handed a bland Chicken and that offended me. If you like bland food and great service, this is the place to go. If you like spicy food...make it at home..
