We have a group of 4 adults and 2 kids (3 & 4 years old). 2 adults only eat shushi and 2 adults eat hot pot but all 4 got charge with $31.95 for both hot pot and sushi for all 4 people, in which its fine with us. We were not happy that our 3 and 4 year old kids got charge $15.95 each, even though they dont know how to eat sushi or hot pot. We end up order side order for them to eat and paid extra. The whole restaurant have strong hot pot smell due to not having enough vent. All the sushi they roll too big with lots of rice so it didnt taste that good. Suggest to have roll it smaller so it will taste better and we be able to try more. Hot pot broth didnt taste that good either. Broth is too plain compare to other hot pot place. Dipping sauce taste weird with peanut in it. We end up spent over $200 but food just taste ok and my kid cannot eat anything. This is our first time and it will be last time too.

I was very impressed on my first visit to Royal Sushi & Bar. A friend and I went for lunch. The parking was ample; the decor was beautiful and classy, the tables are roomy. Our waiter, Simon, was excellent, friendly, and not without with a good sense of humor. He and others checked periodically to make sure we had everything we needed. We did not have the Hotpot but we had miso soup, sushi, maki and veggie tempura. Everything was presented delightfully. Everything was fresh, refreshing and delicious. My friend had raspberry tea; I had a pina colada slush. Both very good. For dessert she had the white chocolate summer cake (she loved it!) and I had the tiramisu. The tiramisu seemed a little closer to Boston Cream Pie to me than Tiramisu but it was still very enjoyable. I am looking forward to going back again and trying the Hotpot!

I went here with a group of 10 and we were seated after a reasonable wait - the side room was super cozy! The wait staff was attentive, quick, and accommodated our requests for extra rice. Everyone got the all you can eat hot pot, which as a note, does not include sushi (makes sense). I was a bit bummed about that, but there is more than enough to choose from on the hot pot menu. Id recommend the ribeye, clams, quail eggs (group favorite) and the crab. For broths, I loved the kimchi one. There is a large lot outside the restaurant, as well as hourly street parking. I had no issues parking. Best hot pot Ive had in the Boston area!

Very clean and welcoming atmosphere. My waitress as very polite. There was a mix up when it came to the all you can eat, I was under the assumption that I would be paying 30$ for two people l, not 30$ each, but it wasnt a big deal. Paid Pros: great hotpot, fresh, appetizing sushi, little wait time, polite staff Cons: very steep prices, place is good for a "dinner out" and less so for lunch or quick grabs. Certain hotpot vegetables they over-portion. I got a place with a few cabbage leaves hidden under a massive pile of watercress.

horrible place and avoid at all costs. the sushi is not fresh= diarrhea. the white tuna has va weird smell...the salmon was ok, but they have very sharp knife, you will size of a thumb and sheet paper thin slice!!! each order takes at least 25 mins to come up. there are so many buffet nearby cost less and taste better. 36 dollars for buffet is not a real buffet that u expect from other Japanese buffet. Everything is extra. the soup will cost u 3 dollars, ice cream 4 dollars just to give u an idea how they get u.

FREE parking available! Woohooo! Seriously tho, instead of driving to China Town Boston, this is closer. Service is great, if its not "rush hour". When its busy, they tend to ignore you, an extra bowl of rice can take 15 mins. The quality matches the price of what you pay for. Been here a few times, they have not failed me yet. The sushi is delish! Few tips: if its a holiday - try to go between 2-4pm so you wont have to wait for a table. Dont order everything in the menu, its alot of food!

Good Food. I came to dinner with my daughters here due to the love for hotpot. I must say that the sushi and food was delicious and fresh and the waitress was very nice and accommodating. However the waitress seem like she was under stress and kept messing up our order, first they forgot our utensils and later she forgot to bring us our vegetables. Price per person is $30 which I thought it was over priced to charge for a little 8yr old girl since she didnt eat much.

Food quantity is good. So much rice in the sushi but the sashimi was very thickly cut (good thing). The hot pot soup could use better flavoring. Two kf the sushi rolls tasted funny. However, we came in with a group of friends (13) and sat at three different tables. The restaurant gave us three different checks but still considered it one check and only allowed us to pay with only two credit cards.... this ticked me off.

A tad pricey, but their hotpot and sushi buffet has been excellent every time. The servings are just right - plentiful but not overwhelming for a buffet. The hotpot items are always fresh (although the kelp knots are disgusting - dont get those). It would be nice if they didnt make you pay extra for broth. Overall its a great place to have a nice meal with friends!

This is a solid place for hotpot/sushi. My friends are vegetarians and they absolutely enjoyed the hot pot and their choices. I had some Maki myself. The Snow Mountain roll was very good and the Godzilla roll was decent. They have the all you can eat option as well. The restaurant is nice and spacious. Will return in the near future.

Called this place ahead of time just to make sure they have beef only broth. After driving 1 hr to go there find out they dont have beef only broth and all broth have pork in it. We order only three sushi plates and no one can finish the sushi and they charge us for left overs. Kinda crappy way of scamming people.

Im really disappointed about the way I was treated. The manager was a coward and sent a waitress to put us out because there was one more person that was at our table but didnt want to have the "all you can eat" deal. You can be forced to get an "all you can eat deal" if youre at a table with people who want.

First time trying royal hotpot and the meat was pretty fresh. Free parking at their shared lot. They give you a menu that you can check off what you want. There were several times the waitress didnt or forgot to bring what we checked off. We needed to remind her. No big deal since it is buffet hotpot

This is my new favorite hot pot buffet spot. Quality foods. They dont skimp on menu items or condiments or make you wait when ordering. The ordering slip is always readily available for you to order more. Atmosphere is abnormally nice. The lounge area is a nice touch. Looking forward to going back.
