Delicious, authentic and tasty dishes served up at this local dine-in or take out eatery. On the corner of Highland Ave and Russell Street just outside of Davis Square, this place serves up everything from mole enchiladas to chorizo tortas. There is something for everyone, including homemade guacamole and fresh tortilla chips. It is relatively family friendly as they make mild chicken burritos and cheese quesadillas for little ones. Although my two year old prefers the beef tortas! If you go during the week for lunch, be prepared to wait as its been busy since word has spread about this place. Not in Somerville? No problem! Try the original location in Medford Square. Cheers!

Love the selection here - multiple trips wouldnt even complete the menu. The food where is top notch and pretty much the Boston version of Southern California has great tacos. Ive only had the the tacos and its flavors and textures blend extremely well. No doubt the other items are just as well. The place isnt as crowded as it was when opening a while back but it still gets busy. Theres limited seating outdoor but the interior has a comfy feel to it. A must for anyone loving to stop in on places. Its a bit out of the way from Davis in the sense that it doesnt fit in. Its not a far walk from the T and is just out of place.

This place is so great!! The food is super tasty, I got the pastor torta and my friend got the asada torta and we really liked both of them! Also the service there is fantastic. The people taking our orders were nice and once we sat down one of the employees brought us water and napkins without even asking. He also gave us some extra sauces to try out. Seriously though, tenoch has great service and food and I highly recommend it!

Tenoch is a great alternative to Chipotle and Annas in Davis Square. They offer a much more varied and authentic menu and their tortas - the star of the show - are excellent. Be sure to try other items like their enchilada plates, the huarache and the tacos. The guacamole is delicious and so is the sangria. The owner is super friendly and the staff work hard to get your order prepared quickly. Be prepared to wait in line.

Insanely good local chain. Not the best location to travel to if you dont live in the immediate area, but its still worth going out of your way to visit. Amazing tacos, and an exceptionally large selection of fantastically prepared meats for both tacos, burritos, and tortas. The fish and adobo are my favorite. If its not a hassle, its absolutely worth visiting either this location or one of their others.

Legit Mexican bolillos, burritos, and tacos. Having traveled extensively in Mexico throughout my life and having lived in California for many years, Ive long yearned for quality Mexican food in the Boston area and Tenoch is the first to not disappoint in my adult life. Their Torta Campechana is bomb-tastic, the Torta Tenoch / Combinación is a close runner-up. Do yourself a favor and go check this place!

Simply the best Mexican food around. Tenoch is known for its selection of Tortas, all of which are absolutely delicious and well varied, but they also have tacos, burritos, tamales, and more. The only thing Id caution is that lines (and wait times) for this food can get very long, to the point where it is difficult to eat sitting down. Consider taking your food to go and eating nearby.

Really nice tortas. Ill try the tacos next time, but I had the namesake torta - basically a Mexican sandwich with meat and pickles. Seating can be social, so dont expect a quiet table off on your own. My dad noted that there were actual Mexicans with their kids eating there, so it seems pretty legit. They offer some Mexican fruit sodas and have a couple of beers available.

Delicious mexican in Somerville. The tortas are the stars here, although everything is good. Great meats, nice spices. Fast and reliable. Long lines during school semesters, although they move quickly, and grabbing a table can be a challenge, but this place is worth it. Not just good for the Boston area - just good.

My go-to for taco time. They have the usual suspects as well as some less common (but no less delicious) fillings -- they have a huitlacoche quesadilla here, which is worth a try if youve never had it. They also serve beer, and if youre not looking for booze, they have pretty much every Mexican soda you could ever want.

Best tacos around, and the tortas are simply incredible. The tamales are some of the best Ive ever had, but they dont always have them. Great folks running the show; fast, efficient, and friendly. Dont waste your time and lunch at Chipotle when this little gem is right around the corner.

Small Mexican joint with good variety. Prices are good, staff was friendly. They are mostly known for their tortas. I tried the pastor and it was good. Not great but good. The tacos looked great. Well located near Davis Sq. I would recommend you go try it once or if youre around.

This place is outstanding. Fast, polite service. Amazing food. The restaurant is cozy, quiet, and always clean. Prices are incredibly low for the quality and quantity of food. This is easily one of my favorite places in Davis Square. It never disappoints.

I always try to take out of town visitors here so they can form a super strong and positive food memory about Boston. The food is seriously delicious. Dont miss out on the namesake sandwich, the Torta Tenoch; its (I think) the best thing on the menu.

Good food, quick service, nice atmosphere. The three tacos and a soda that I ordered totaled 12-odd dollars, which armed eminently reasonable. If youre into it, though, go for the tortas- theyre definitely the selling point

Fast, pleasant staff, great flavors, feels authentic and food focused. Not much else going on that isnt essential and I loved it that way. It does get busy so keep in mind what time you visit but they move fast either way.

Outstanding, authentic Mexican food and quick service! Bear in mind that theres almost ALWAYS a line out the door of this place, but for good reason. The line moves quicker than expected and its well worth the wait.

Often packed (try the one in Medford square if youre bringing a group) but so tasty. You can get something besides a torta but why would you? Californian friends dub it "the only acceptable Mexican food in Boston."

Great counter service Mexican food. I recommend the Huarache, which is a bit like an open faced burrito. All the portions are quite generous too. Id skip the Chips and Salsa though, other items are much better.

Phenomenal. Been going to the Medford Square location for a few years. Finally got to this location. These guys are awesome. Best Mexican food in Boston, no doubt. Try the burritos or the tortas, cant go wrong.

Nice little spot with excellent Mexican street food. Tortas are the specialty, but everything is better than good. A little pricier than Annas around the corner, but worth it and definitely able to coexist.
