As a response to my previous post .I said"heard it threw the grape vine "as to not get the persons (meaning more than 1)in trouble that contacted turners seafood about the incident .Honestly saying these are one sided views and not 100% the truth so what is it 98%truth.Sorry but pictures were taking of the items in question..As far as I understand turners is also taking this seriously.I just hope if one of your employees that did do this doesnt come into my place of employment and decide to steal from me and if they do I hope the proper disciplinary action occurs rather than a cover-up!You could at least return the items !Maybe apologize to turners. Either way do the right thing!

I guess if i was going to write a letter to the editor this would be about the best place As a local to Salem hearing threw the grape vine how there new chef stole equipment from his last job at turners is really atrocious.apparently they fired a long time employee who was honest and called them on it. I so loved that place before as a family business..but when you bring in new owners who just buy there way into the business and basically fire the whole long time staff,,it makes me sick to who would support such a place in our great city and with our current economy .most may not care as long as you have your watering hole and it doesnt effect you. how sad.

Terrible service. Ordered chili and mac and cheese to go, the portions were horrible they filled the cup up half way! They also charged me for cheese even though it says its supposed to come with it! They dont pay any attention to you after when they first sit you down. Witnessed this poor old man hovering by the kitchen door just so he can order a coffee! The waitress was not very competent, and why wasnt she wearing deodorant!?? Im sorry, maybe you have your values but I dont like smelling BO around food. Knowing that there is bad hygiene in a restaurant? Not cool, bad service - not worth it.

VERY SMALL neighborhood pub. The food has always been good and the prices are not bad. The only problem is that parking is very hard to come by and when you finally do get parking, getting a seat in this place is almost like winning the lottery. The last time we went I was very turned off by the service. It was in October (I know, busy time) and we were walking around, we stopped in and asked what the wait was, the woman said 1 hour, we thanked her and said we would look else where, she laughed at us an said "good luck" and shut the door. Not pleasant at all.

My husband and I tried to eat there today. Went to the bar and sat down. The bartender had his back to us and was on his cell phone. He said, still with his back to us and on the phone, Ill be right with you. That is not good customer service. And that was all after he cut in front of my husband on the sidewalk without so much as an "excuse me." Needless to say, my husband and I looked at each other and decided to go elsewhere. So much for trying this place.

Positives: They pour a good Guinness. Their hummus is good. Negatives: The food is definitely over priced for what youre getting. I ordered a burger and geez... It was not good. Burnt, crumbling to the touch--To say the least, it reminded me of the "burgers" my mother would make for me as a child when we didnt have enough money for real patties. A McDonalds burger would have been more enjoyable and a fraction of the price. I was seriously disappointed.

Supposedly this is an American and Mexican restaurant, I purchased Fishermans Lager and the Enchilada style Burrito. Fisherman Lager: Very good, Id recommend it and even drink it regularly if they had it around my area for a good price. Enchilada style Burrito: Small and rather bland, I think I should have gotten a more "American" style dish. The "Mexican" selection was very narrow and I dont have high hopes for the remaining three choices.

Went with other reviewer, Gervasio. Agreed, okay food, decent decor, but awful service. He forgot to mention the 25 minute wait for our menus, at which point the waitress asked if we were ready to order. Crazy part about tip-paloza that Gervasio mentioned is that after walking out, i talked to another group of people, who also had the waitress question their tip. Ill say, if i ever return to Salem, I WILL NOT go back to that restaurant..

We went for brunch with a baby and toddler and the staff was super accommodating and sweet! Great coffee and exceptional food! VERY fresh and delicious with different options as well as the tried and true. And how have restaurants not thought of two unisex restrooms yet? Genius! Not just for the transgender community but moms with toddler sons or dads and daughters! So smart! Thank you for a wonderful experience Mercy Tavern!

Heard they were the best in town..i guess they were before the new people bought the business They give a bad name to BBQ Food cafeteria taste and presentation at best..NEVER GO BACK! I was going to Give them a bad review on yelp but from what i hear they pay them to have all the bad ones removed..who doesnt get a bad review once in a while,,I notice they dont and they are way below standard food !!!

Touristy trap. Gimmiky name, average food at best, horrible service. I ordered takeout, they forgot to pack the sides and salad. Most outrageous thing is that they charge you a dollar for each takeout box! Really? That is like charging extra for the silverware if you dine in, or for washing the dishes... I was apalled, swore never to go back, and hope that this review turns away a few of you folks.

This place is awesome! I was a regular at this place for a good while this past winter and the atmosphere is nothing short of homey. I felt like I was visiting an uncles house and just sitting down for a beer with family and friends, which I usually was. The food is great and cheap and the servers are funnier than a drunken aunt. Definite place to head for a nice night out.

I love the Pig! My grandmother has been coming here for lunch my whole life, and I always love joining her there. I always get the Mexican food, because Im a vegetarian, and I always leave satisfied. The waitresses are so great, they know just what my grandmother likes and are so friendly! Its the best place to go for a casual lunch in Salem.

We found In A Pigs Eye when on vacation from Colorado. The night we spent there will be a memory my wife and I will share for the rest of our lives. We felt like we were immediately part of a the local community. Everyone was friendly and outgoing and the local music was amazing. I cant wait to come back someday.

A great new addition to the Historic Derby Street Neighborhood. A great selection of unique takes on classic comfort food and modern favorites. Drinks are also exceptional but the best has to be their Sunday brunch! A perfect meeting spot for locals and a delicious stop for visitors.

Beautiful interior and atmosphere, first visited here over thirty years ago on a college American Lit field trip and had a blast. Stopped in again recently with my wife and everything was still great. Service was a bit inattentive but they were busy. All in all a great place.
