PLEASE do yourself a favor and stop by here. I was thrilled but apprehensive about a new restaurant on this notoriously unlucky stretch of Union Street, but I like to support a local business so tried it out right after the opened. Ive been back twice since. Everything is delicious, cooked with care, fresh, flavorful. Seriously. Ive tried something new each time and have loved each meal as much if not more than the last one (I keep being tempted to repeat what was so good the previous time, but I want to try a bunch of different things.) The only comment I have (which Ive seen reflected in these reviews) is that there has been a wait disproportionate to the amount of people dining there. By which I mean, yes it was pretty much full each time Ive been there, but the wait did not seem comparable to similar restaurants of similar size. The last time we went, my companion and I both commented that we could really have done with a basket of bread or some crackers at the table...the wait was that long and we were that starving. But neither of us were drinking...maybe the assumption is that youll have drinks while you wait for your food? I need to circle back around to say I wouldnt take a star off for this. Its not ideal, particularly when youre really hungry, but the food more than makes up for it. I feel genuinely happy that this place will succeed and stick around!

My wife and I went there last night excited to see some life brought back to Rockland Center. First impression - the decor is great, just what an upscale pub should look like. Second impression - not so good, waited over 15 minutes for a waitress. Once we were greeted she blamed it on the hostess not coming in. Not sure what that has to do with bringing us menus and taking our drink order, but... So we order or drinks and food - food is excellent, drinks not so much. Do yourself a favor and order a beer or glass of wine. The two blondes behind the bar are out of their league. I ordered a dirty martini, not only was it not dirty or have any olive juice in it, it didnteven have one olive in it. My wife ordered a cosmo figuring it was easy to make and they dont have a drink menu outside of the coffee drinks. It was not good to say the least. After suffering through that she ordered a Spiked Seltzer happy to see those on the menu, nope. They were out of them. In closing - Location = Perfect Amosphere = Great Food = Excellent Wait Staff = Needs Improvement Bar Staff = Horrible We will be back and hope they work out the kinks in the mean time

Been here twice now and both times were great. Classic Massachusetts Irish bar feel, with good Celtic and Irish rock/punk to match. My first visit I enjoyed a couple appetizers and they were delicious. This go qround, my bartender, I believe her name was Jill, was great. She was a sweetheart and very attentive to everyone at the bar. She took notice of subtle cues from the patrons and was pretty quick to assist. Also makes a solid Tom Collins and Old Fashion, which is always a plus imo. She recommended the steak tips, which were cooked perfect. A nice medium with some delicious char for an outside texture. Only negative I have is that they were out of 2 of their taps but still have a good bottle selection to compensate. Will come back again.

My wife and I went here today for a quick appitzer and pizza. We arrived at 5:30 while waiting until 6:45 and noticing a few of the folks who arrived after us have already enjoy their apps and are now eating their dinner. I asked the waitress where our food was. She mentioned they had to remake our pizza, I then asked why we were never notified of this and why our appitzer didnt come out awhile ago? I canceled my order and left not once did we get an appoligie. I will never go back. I am a resident of Rockland and have been for 20 years. Very upsetting wish I was able to have a good experience.

Just visited today for lunch and was pleasantly surprised by how big and nice the place is. The food was great with good sized portions. The prices were very reasonable, and drinks were all good. We had our 2 year old son, and we felt comfortable bringing him in. The staff was very responsive and helpful. I would highly recommend you give them a try. We will be returning very soon.

Looks great inside...however went for lunch.. Only 4 people in for lunch (2 tables) a waitress and a waiter on...took 10 Min to get said hello to and 15 for a menu.. With zero zero personality...once had menus had to snap fingers to get attention of our waiter as he was to busy sitting in corner on his phone... Burger med well must mean burnt...food is priced well beer is not..

I will definitely be there again! I had the bangers and mash... excellent, Lorrie had the baked haddock...she said it was the best shes ever had..we are down from New Hampshire visiting my son and family and its the best bar and grill...the waitress was very attentive...we all felt like family... dont hesitate going to Rockland Bar & Grill...you wont be disappointed...

Seriously, have you been in here lately? Mark, the new chef, is putting out some amazing new dishes. The steak tips were like 5 mini filets. Absolutely delicious. The baked haddock was outstanding and the jasmine rice was very tasty. Do yourself a favor and come here for dinner. It is a great atmosphere and the new menu is awesome.

Went there for a late lunch with a friend and our 2 infants. Waitstaff was friendly and accommodating, food was excellent. Beer selection decent and the price was right! Very clean, but no changing tables in the bathrooms! Sure its a sports bar, but Im sure were not the only one with babies that goes in here for lunch!

They were really good I got a chicken caprese for lunch and onion rings and it was really good guy I didnt like the onion rings that much and when hanging with my friends Ill come here over mikes its a bit more expensive but much more filling and better quality and their cream puff is heavenly

Just had the new Buffalo chicken egg rolls. Not bad at all. I wish they had a "hot" version with jalapeno and red onion. Currently its just chicken and Buffalo sauce in an egg roll.

New chef and a total turn around, food wise. Any reviews that pan the food from before mid 2017 can be ignored. Great place. Clean. Friendly. Tasty.

Key lime martini was so good! Very well mixed. Also loved the gluten free buffalo pizza and sweet potato fries! Great lunch!
