Most of the good reviews you see below are from long ago. The new owners ruined the place since then with blockheaded decisions. Last year they decided to do an unneeded makeover in the dining room. What was charming and elegant is now cheap and run-of-the-mill. The booths were tall and offered a little privacy with little maroon curtains over the seats. The new booths look like they were lifted from a bargain basement on the cheap. Fireside used to have a loyal dinner crowd that enjoyed Sinatra and Ella Fitzgerald. Now this crowd is leaving in droves; theyre being driven out by Top 40 crap thatll make your ears bleed. The food is no better than the décor or the music. Didnt the new owners take a look back to see what happened to Huckleberrys Chicken House? The owners their decided to "modernize" and "update the bar" and "go for a younger crowd" a few years ago and it backfired. Now you have to pick away weeds to look in the window. Firesides new owners ought to be run out of town for ruining what used to be the most charming restaurant in the area. Prediction: The Fireside will go the way of Huckleberrys and be deserted inside of two years.

The last 4 of 5 times Ive ordered takeout from Fireside theyve messed it up. Heres tonights order: stirfry with broccoli, carrots and pea pods and a mud pie. Cost = $23.80 What I received: stirfry with squash, zucchini, broccoli, carrots and pea pods (I have a dietary condition and cant eat squashes) with a mud pie placed on top of stirfry and so a puddle of ice cream. My dinner is in the trash as it cant be eaten. I called, the hostess clearly remembered my order (I had told her that meal had to be correct due to dietary condition) and confirmed that she did her job correctly. She then passed me to a manager (Lisa) who admitted that they have a problem with their takeout service. Simple question...if they have a problem and management knows they have a problem, why isnt it being corrected? After a long day of work craving a meal, ordering it and getting it home only to find you cant eat it...I will NEVER get takeout from this restaurant again and advise you boycott as well until they get their act together.

The only thing good was the friendliness of the bartenders. When we arrived, we had to walk through a cloud of cigarette smoke from two people smoking right next to the entry door. I had the pecan encrusted cod with mashed potatoes and Brussels sprouts. The best part of my meal was the pecan topping on the tasteless piece of previously frozen fish. The potatoes were either instant or from frozen and too salty. The Brussels sprouts were like Green Giant frozen ones. My husband had the fillet mignon and the same sides as me. The steak was excellent. We hadnt been there for quite a few years and after this will definitely not be back. We should have read the reviews before we went.

Excellent service and excellent food!!! Michael the manager ..went out of his way to make my brothers birthday a special one Aug 21, 2017. The Cod, pot pie, chicken salad, chicken tenders were as always great. We never had the veggie pizza before at Fireside...it exceeded our expectations...loaded with veggie.... everyone in our family said it was the best veggie pizza Ive had. Our family has been going to Fireside for over 10 years and always are happy with its quality and affordable prices. Michael....Thanks for making my brothers birthday special!! We went for the first time tonight and found the food, service, and prices to be great!!. It was great to find a good restaurant that was not overpriced or a "chain". All of us ordered off the special menu, but we all ordered different items. I had steak tips with onions, blue cheese, and bacon. It was fantastic. My parents had shrimp, they both loved it. My husband had a chicken and eggplant parm special. He also enjoyed his meal. My daughter ordered off the kid’s meal, which was your typical kid’s meal. They did let us substitute broccoli instead of french fries.

Complete mess up, start to finish. Our server was busy so someone else took our drink order but never followed through. Our server finally came we got drinks but one of them was not correct. We ordered dinner and salads, about 20 minutes later the server said we are put ood ribs, which I ordered, had to reorder. The meal came but they never brought salads until after we mentioned it. When she brought the bill, it still had the ribs on it. IfI didnt review it would have paid $25 for nothing. Not happy at all.

We have always had a good meal here until this past visit (5/31/15 ) .........Ordered the fish and chips fish was over cooked and dry and the fries were soggy and not from the fish being on top of them.....My guess ordered a burger cooked med it was as black as a piece of coal.....It was our 1st time eating there on a Sunday Im not sure if it is a different cook on Sunday night but I will never eat there on a Sunday again....So it was a waste of $53.30 with tip and two drinks........ Should of gone to Mickey Ds......

We waited 20 minutes to get our first drinks, then I was told FIFTEEN minutes after we ordered that I couldnt get a rare prime rib like I wanted, only medium and/or cooked more, I accepted instead of going for a whole another meal which would kinda waste time... AN HOUR later, I get my prime rib on a COLD plate. Managers walk around us several times without asking if anything was ok. AWFUL! AWFUL! AWFUL!

The menu description of my meal....ARUGULA BEET SALAD | $9.99 Arugula, roasted red beets, candied walnuts, goat cheese, red onions and a warm bacon vinaigrette. The waiter was nice, meals did not come all at once and we had to ask for the dessert that came with our meal. Regarding my arugala salad...beets were not roasted, no candied walnuts were on the salad and the dressing was not warm.

I ordered chicken bruschetta but modified it by having it over pasta instead of risotto. When it came to the table the chicken was dry and the pasta was dry as well. The pasta wasnt even incorporated into the meal. I think they need go back into the kitchen and get someone who is qualified to cook the meals. I spent 16.99 and feel I could get a better meal at Baldies for half the price.

I went there today for the first time since 16 years ago when I was last in the area. Its just as good now as it was back then. Menu is pretty much the same. Big, roomy diningroom so you dont feel claustrophobic. Elegant dining at a price that wont destroy your wallet. Friendly waitress. Cant wait to come back again real soon. Best restaurant ever.

Have been here many times and it is steadily going down hill the food had no flavor and had wait an extreme amount of time to get our tasteless meal . Very disappointing when we spoke to the manager (40 year old lady with bright pink hair ) she was very unprofessional and did not resolve our issue at all. We will not be returning here
