Went to the Lexington restaurant the other evening about 7 pm for the buffet which runs 5:30 to 9 pm). When we went to the buffet many of the food items were either empty or very low; almost everything else looked stale. I spoke with the owner (I lived in Lexington for 18 years and used to go a lot) and told him about the food.... "we have been very busy; they are cooking it right now; it will be here soon".... EXCUSES.... not one good reason why with 2 hrs left for the buffet to not have fresh food. They did bring SOME items up.... very small amounts....while others sat depleted.... we had been there between 15-20 minutes at this point. My wife went back up and saw things were no better and spoke to the owner.... "the kitchen is downstairs" was his reply.... what?!? All this time now since I first spoke up he and his wife were stirring and stirring the food.... as if it would help it... lol. In the end we were very unhappy.... oh yah, the food is bland and all tastes the same.... spoke to the owner upon paying and asked what had happened to the place since I left Lexington.... he says I should order from the main menu..... wow.... what a suggestion. More excuses... "we replaced the food before you left didnt we?.... "we get busy"..... . I was fully expecting he would apologize, tell me he hoped we would come back and perhaps take one of the two buffet orders off.... nope. Such poor form. And the service.... never asked if we wanted a cocktail, even a coke... left dirty buffet plates on the table and.... you get it. I am sure they have a lot of tourist one time visits and that keeps them thinking they are good. OVER PRICED.... TASTELESS..... ARROGANT...... STAY AWAY... IT IS THE ONLY WAY THEY WILL LEARN TO IMPROVE.

The food is good, but the service is really bad. I am not say every waiter and waitress. I had experience that the waiters were talking very bad language about me using their mother language. Luckily I understood what they were talking. It was lunch buffet. I paid the right percent of the tip, however, they were not happy about it. They were using very bad language insult me by their mother language. I was very unhappy about it. Since then, I merger sit and eat in Yangtze. I may take out, but I dont want to get insulted again.

Nice location downtown Lexington. Free parking on Sunday at meters and Municipal lot. Pleasant and attentive wait staff. We had dim sum Buffet about $19 per person, plus tax and tip. Everything they brought on dim sum cart was great, fresh, and perfectly cooked and seasoned. Kept hot in individual containers. Included standard buffet table items also, but those items not as good , and many items were cold. Stick mostly with dim sum cart and you will be happy.

want to give 0 to this restaurant but the system dont let me go through. went to that place once on Sunday. bad environment and bad food. Dimsum cart is extremely hot. got burned when accidentally touched it. Its very dangerous to get around between different tables in such environment. saw a lot of scald on servers arm. dont know who is the owner but for sure the manager has the responsibility for that. totally bad impression.

This is review of Yangtze River in Lexington MA I is a good spot or location. They have good customers service and good food and have good prices And very reasonable and they have good seating and you have enough room to eat and they have good TV channels for people to watch and I like there food IT is fresh off the stove and IT very yummy in my Tummy.

Its like those times you have on the weekends when youre just in the mood for Chinese food. Its quick and easy, especially the buffet. The food itself is pretty reasonable. They didnt have much variety for dessert, but you cant really expect much of that, over all it was a good place.

A generous buffet on weekends, with dim sum (Sundays), authentic Chinese dishes available and a nice selection of desserts. The appetizers on the buffet are particularly good (best egg rolls I have ever had, and the chicken wings are tops as well). Pleasant staff, lots of parking.

Quite good buffet and seemed to be well liked by locals. The music was piano versions if Disney songs so that was fun. Staff was helpful and kind but did not hover annoyingly. Some standard staples werent available but the it was still quite a spread for a cheap rate.

I love Yangtze. Its a great place to go with friends or a large group of people. It can definitely be overpriced if you do the buffet, but the food is classic greasy chinese food. Not healthy, but it tastes great!

They took your order wrong and had the nerves to serve a whole fish thats been sitting around, God knows how long. Worst experience ever, good delivery timing, only because the fish was already prepared.
