This rating and review is mostly for the bar and bartender. When it comes to Americanized Chinese food, its really splitting hairs to put one over the other. The food is very typical when it comes to comparing with other places, and in that sense, it really hits the spot when youre ready to take on the greasy but tasty food. Me and my wife ordered takeout there and the front desk service was very friendly. As we were waiting, we thought "Why not head over to the bar for a drink?" My wife ordered a drink that wasnt "Chinese" in nature, and the caucasian bartender lady very rudely told her how "They only served Chinese drinks there" yet went on to offer us Pina Coladas and Margaritas, because those Caribbean favorites must have come over from China right? It was a sweltering 95 degree day outside, so we opted for a frozen Pina Colada. Although they were cold and refreshing, I dont understand why we were carded, because I could have sworn they were virgin drinks. I couldnt feel even a slight bit of buzz from the drink, and that doesnt surprise me too much, but my lightweight wife couldnt either, and that means something. Im 28 years old, been to plenty of bars and never gotten a drink this lightweight before. We sat there and drank our drinks, the bartender never saying a word or returning any conversation. She was very rude and condescending. So if youre looking for a good time with good drinks, this is not the bar for you. If youre looking for a bad time and being treated like an idiot and paying for overpriced virgin drinks, head on over to Chief Woks all Chinese bar!

Its got great Authentic Asian cuisine that you can eat in their newly renovated restaurant or you can call ahead for take out and enjoy your meal while watching the game. The lounge is very comfortable if you just want drinks and apps, abd theyve added a Sushi Bar now. Sherry, the owner, is very genuine with her customers and will always greet you as you come in. I love their fried rice, I think its the best in Salem. If anyone ever asks me where do I go for Chinese food, I tell them Chief Wok

Everything we got tasted very good and freshly made. They forgot our order of white rice and I noticed after I got home (for some reason I have very bad luck with white rice orders, as they hardly make it into the bag somehow) I called and the woman was very apologetic and gave us a credit for next time which was very nice. We will be ordering from them again :) very tasty, and just what you hope for from Chinese food places. Very very good customer service too.

Absolutely wonderful place to go with amazing food. Ive come twice in less than a week because the food cant be beat!!! I have found a place like this since I moved to New Hampshire a couple of years ago. The people are friendly and attentive. The atmosphere is very welcoming and comfortable. Grand reopening and under new owners. Any previous bad reviews shouldnt reflect on the new management.

Just stoped here after a full day at canobie lake. Our waitress was amazing, paying special attention to my 4 yr old, she gave him special treats to take home. Food was perfect!!! Best Ive ever had !! Clean and very nice environment. I live 30 min from here and would definitely drive out of my was to eat here again! Thanks guys!!

Horrible food, we got sick an hour after eating there. Oil on everything. Some of the absolute worst food Ive ever had. The service was appalling, the wait staff could be seen picking their noses then handling the plates, it was repulsive. We will never be going back again! Stay away!

so I go to chief wok at least 1-2 times a week def the best Chinese food I have EVER eaten and Jimmy the waiter always has majic tricks ohh and I just LOVE SHERRY shes so awesome
