We celebrated a birthday here on our last trip to MV. We ordered the lobster pot pie and it was good, but not what we anticipated. When I think New England pot pie Im assuming a hearty meal of veggies, lobster meat, creamy sauce, and a flaky pastry crust. What we got was a meal where they were primarily concerned about the presentation and appearance versus the qualify. Yes, the meal was good, but should have just been called "Lobster in a copper pot with a few peas, 1 carrot, and tiny slivers of pastry crust". For $70 Id rather go to a seafood shanty in Chilmark and order 3 whole lobsters with a Q clam. That unfortunate let-down aside, the rest of the meal was delicious, especially the desserts! Service was fantastic as expected, and the environment was welcoming as well. Its definitely a great place to hang out for a few hours, pre-dinner drinks, dinner, dessert, and then after dinner drinks. I never fail to make new friends while dining there so make sure you talk to those around you! Plus its on the water so the summer season is great for people-watching.

I was very excited to check this place out. It gorgeous, new, and right on Edgartown Harbor. I wont beat around the bush. The food was terrible. I wasnt expecting much, just a decent appetizer, burger, and cocktail. The medium rare burger I ordered was beyond well-done and smothered in truffle oil. And not just a little for flavor. It was gross. On top of this the fries were stale, also cold, and rubbery. Im not a picky person, but I sent it back after a few bites so disgusted by the smell I didnt even want a replacement. My girlfriends Lobster mac & cheese was also drowned in about a centimeter of truffle oil, entirely lacked cheese, and featured a dry and rubbery hunk of lobster claw on top. Not good either. Ill admit the appetizers were decent, if a bit over-priced, and the cocktails were tolerable. On the whole though, a total bust.

My wife and I are vegetarians and after looking at the menu with all of the side options and asking the waiter if they could make us a vegetable plate with these items he went to the kitchen and talked with the chef and returned to say they could fix a vegetable plate for each of us. However, what we got was all of the vegetable side dishes we indicated and they delivered to our table enough food to feed at least ten people. No alert, thinking or reasonable person would have thought this was what two people wanted. The cost came out to be at least three times what it should have been, $164, and after complaining about this situation to the management they have yet to acknowledge their error or willingness to make an adjustment in the charges. Our next visit to Marthas Vineyard will not include the Atlantic.

We went to enjoy some late afternoon drinks and enjoy the view. We wanted to have a couple glasses of wine and perhaps an appetizer. We were clear with the hostess about this, and it was not yet dinnertime and the restaurant was nearly empty. The waiter was irritated that we were seated at his table and did not plan to order a full meal, and we heard him complaining about us to his other waiters and pointing at us, as if we were disrespectful or wasting his time. We were well-dressed and our pre-teen children were extremely well-behaved. We did have a great dinner that night....at another neraby restaurant. I voiced my experience to one of the three hostesses on our way out, that it was a missed opportunity.

The food was ok, but 3 out of 7 people were not happy with their dinners - overpriced for the quality. We had the misfortune to have a waiter who would not accept that my husband wanted his tuna to be cooked through - after requesting it twice, he finally gave up and ordered a burger instead. The waiter also miscalculated the bill so that the automatic tip was added in twice, and ultimately the debit card was charged six different times for the amount of the meal triggering a call the next day from the bank warning of potential fraudulent charges. The problem was rectified, but not until four days later after numerous phone calls. First and last time at the Atlantic for us.

this is the third attempt to post, it times out before i can write how the waiter acted and OVER PRICED ON MOST ALL ITEMS. IVE EATTEN ON CRUSIES, NEW ORLEANS, AND AFRICA, BUT NEVER, EVER HAVE I HAD SUCH A RUDE MALE WAITER AS IN THIS PLACE. he must of been rude 4 times before my friends wife ask for an apoligy. we both run service companys and this isnt how a "fine Dining" place is to be. GO TO THE wHARF ASK FOR LIZZY YOUNG LADY WHICH IS VERY PLEASENT, THE WHARF IS JUST UP THE STREET FROM THE ATLANTIC. LIFE IS SHORT AND MONEY IS MONEY SPEND IT SOMEWHERE WHERE PEPOLE APPRICATE YOU AND YOUR MONEY. HAVE A GREAT VACATION AND PASS ON THIS DIVE.

The experince was just okay. Yes they are on the downtown habor with awsome views of the habor. The food was somewhat overpriced, but decent. My tuna was good but came with no sides. My dad got a Kobe Burger asked for it medium but it so rare that half the bun was covered in red burger jucies. 3 hours later my dad got stomach pain and worse. I think the atmospher is just okay but with price there are comparable views at less expensice prices. Also, the kitchen will not substitute food. I wanted chili without the rice and they said no. Any good kitchen should be able to handle that espcially this early in the season.

The restaurant is located in a very nice spot of the town, probably one of the best, for sure the most elegant. Ambience is very nice and the terraces are really elegant. Table are comfortable and also the tables for two can accommodate the guests with enough comfort. Food is consistency good, with prime ingredients. The menu is different for lunch and dinner and to be honest, its not the typical one you would aspect as, its a little limited. For meet lover the restaurant is one of the few to offer certified Angus meat. Service was accurate and elegant. Slightly overpriced.

Purchased a dress while on my way to dine at Atlantic Fish. We were given a table outside-too dark to see the menu but after a very over priced, mediocre meal we made our way inside to listen to the band. I then realized I had left my new dress under the table. I was told by my server it was at the front with the hostess. Well after the buck passing and rude treatment by the manager, I was basically told "to bad", your dress is not here. Pass this restaurant-there are too many other good ones in town. But if you choose to eat here--hold on to your belongings!

One of my all time favorite places. The location is fantastic, overlooking Edgartown Harbor. And the service is top rate. The food is always perfectly cooked. Pricey, but worth it. My husbands favorite is the filet mignon with goat cheese atop, and my favorite is the lobster arugula salad, which is served with strawberry vinegrette. Very refreshing. Weve been there a number of times, and the Atlantic never disappoints. The crème brule is one of the best I have ever had. One of the joys of summer is Marthas Vineyard, and the Atlantic.
