What may seem like only 2 check-ins are actually way more than 15, cant help the malfunction of my phone during that time . But what I can vouch for is the delicious food being served here very fast. Though wait at lunch can be over 15 mins at times, but completely worth it. As a person of habit, Ive always had the Smoky Cayanne Shreded chicken, And the dry fish. Though at times did venture out trying some new noodle dishes or the string beans or the seasme chicken . All in all a great place to grab lunch or dinner. Just beware of how spicy the food can get, I would not recommend getting anything over one chilly. Their pickled veggies they serve as you are seated are to die for. Might be exaggerating, but trust me, its really good.

The staff was rude, acting like I was wasting their time. I ordered the Tangerine Chicken. The chicken was dry and chewy, tasting like it was either old and kept under a heat lamp or just fried way too long. I also ordered the lo mein which tasted like it was tossed in old oil that they had been using to fry everything else that day. I had to get the attention of three different staff members for straws, silverware for my boyfriend, or even the rest of my order, because my waitress was only there to reluctantly take my order then to bring the bill after I had to ask a busboy to get it later. Worst place Ive ever been in this area.

The best Chinese food in Massachusetts, especially for Sichuan. If you like spicy food, this place is a must. Try something with ma la peppercorns - they were banned from import into the US for a while, but now they are ok, and Sichuan Gourmet is one of the few places that uses them. They are delicious and make your mouth feel like its vibrating. Some great dishes are the beef tendons in tripe in spicy sauce (something like that), the dan dan noodles, and any of the spicy cabbage soups. I have also been to the one in Framingham, which is basically the same.

The food comes in large portions and is not bad, but the flavors are a little off. The fish in chili oil barely tasted of chili oil and was missing the numbing quality Sichuan food is known for. Some other dishes, such as the pork with eggplant and kung pao chicken, tasted like the chefs were inspired by Chinese takeout sesame chicken. Overall, the food was fine, but a little disappointing if youre looking for fresh, exciting Sichuan flavors.

I have eaten lunch here several times over the past twelve months and always liked both the food and attentive service. The place is much less "Americanized" than the usual local Chinese restaurant, with a large Chinese customer base and many foreign students. It makes me think that the menu and flavors are very authentic and probably tastes like home to many patrons. Dont expect to hear much English or engage in chit chat with the staff.

Food is decent. Prices arent terrible for the area, but I always feel awkward eating here. Every time I have eaten here I am the only American in the place and absolutely nobody speaks English so it is very tough to order or even ask a question about anything on the menu. Definitely a friendly place and an ok place for takeout but not really a great atmosphere or place to hang out. Felt very out of place and not welcome.

Some really great dishes, you need to know what to order when you come here. Anything spicy authentic Sichaun was right on, absolutely delicious but just make sure to avoid most of their Americanized chinese dishes....not very tasty. Great Chinese in Boston though and convenient location. Service when I was there was just okay but it was late Saturday night, I think they just wanted to go home.

Great food great service great everything! Please order the beef in spicy sauce, and the spicy dumpling, and the lobster with ginger and scallion. This is a hidden gem, I lived in Brookline for most of my life and never stopped here for food, until the Asian BBQ place was too long of a wait. Boy, was I surprised by the cleanliness of the place and the taste of the food!

慕名而来,结果相当一般。刀工粗糙,味道奇怪,加了大量辣椒和花椒就算川菜的话,这家到也能和川菜沾点儿边。糊弄老外还行,中国人还是别来这家吃吧!

Great food, very generous portions for the price. Service was very quick on a Saturday night. It seemed like they brought dishes out as they were ready, instead of bringing them out all at once, which is fine by me. Try the dry-fried fish and the kung pao chicken. Im not sure I can eat regular Chinese again.

Almost everything is fantastic. I would eat here over the high class restaurants in Back Bay any day. You just need to know what to order. So yourself a favor; go with a Chinese friend or point to what other people got that look good and ask for it. Dont go for the lo mein or Kung Pao chicken here.

Tried and true staple for authentic sichuan cuisine. They may lack the flashiness of the trending restaurant scene, but the food speaks for itself and the staff is friendly also. Expertly prepared, super tasty. Go tos include any fish dish, beef tendon slices, fresh bamboo, and it goes on.

I went there because a Chinese guy told me that it is an authentic Chinese restaurant. I take his word for its authenticity. I had shredded chicken sauté with a boiled rise side. It was great, and I had leftover for the next day. The price is also great.

Probably the best authentic Chinese food in Boston. The menu changes, so if youre visiting, and only get here every 6-12 months be prepared for that. The prices are average, but the service is relatively quick. Portions are large. (Pro-Tip: Order the duck.)

This place is just normal value Chinese food. Some of the gourmet dishes or chefs specials will blow your mind though. For a lunch special at $7.50 with enough lo mein to feed a family you cant argue with them about value though.

Completely full at 5 pm on a Friday! Prefer take-out anytime. Can get a little tricky to order over the phone, make sure you enunciate well. Good ma po tofu and fish with basil. The xiang la fish fillets are yummy.

Hot and sour soup tastes really good! I tried the vegetarian dumplings and vegetarian fried rice, it was more on the salty side but not bad. Overall for the price its good a combination of taste and portion sizes

I havent try Chef Chang!!! How ever Sichuan Gourmet is also very good. You have to know how to order Chinese food. We saw lots of western people order American-Chinese food though, we never try those dishes.....

Pretty decent place for real Chinese food. Not the best Sichuan dishes but definitely worth a try. The bamboo short rib is amazing. The new hand-pulled noodles dishes are also good. Be careful with the heat.

Thinking this is the most authentic Sichuan flavor near Boston area. The spicy fish pot really good, and so as the duck, well flavored. Highly recommended to people want a bit spicy Asian food.

I came here for lunch once. It was good, but not as impressive as it had been made out to be. Ill have to stop by for dinner sometime to give it another try.
