This is my all time favorite diner. I find myself judging all diners by it, and I find myself missing it when Im away from Boston for too long. The staff is friendly and efficient, but gives you the time and peace needed to enjoy your food and company. After you go in a few times (which you inevitably will) the staff will remember what you like to order. To be fair, Ive only ever had breakfast food. All great, although the broccoli and cheddar omelette and the bacon egg and cheese croissant are my two favorite dishes. Almost everything comes with home fries and toast, so come prepared! But you dont have to worry too much about the wallet, as these dishes are usually very very affordable. They make a mean iced coffee.

If youre looking for no-frills, no-fuss, locals only breakfast, this is the place for you. Located across from the Washington Street T stop on the B line, theres nothing remarkable about the exterior fading sign or the simple tables inside... but remember, looks can be deceiving. Brighton Cafe has a bit of a nostalgic charm, making you feel like the city isnt so big and that people can be genuinely friendly. Owner, Wu, is extremely friendly and always loyal to regulars. If youre looking for a fast in-and-out breakfast, go elsewhere. The beauty of this place is the endless cups of coffee and the lack of rushing to get you out the door. Savor it... these kind of places just dont exist in Boston!

Good place to eat, friendly staff good location next to the T station. The food sometimes is under cooked and will complain if you ask them to make it well done. They never bring you napkins and bring you the bill before you are done eating. No refills and sometimes charge for things you dont eat. Only reason I have come is that the coffee is good. If you like mediocre service, getting ripped off and good coffee this is the place for you enjoy.

I got there every few days as its super close to me. Pretty average food - not great, not even remotely bad, but the pricing is phenomenal and they have great wifi. The staff is quiet but kind and super fast, they really work hard. I recommend a grilled blueberry muffin there with butter!

This place was very inexpensive, free Wi-Fi, good portions and friendly wait staff. By far the least expensive breakfast meals we had while visiting my son at BC, the food was also ready quickly. Only negative is the same as every other restaurant in and around Boston, parking sucks.

FAST, inexpensive, great food. I went with a group of 8 on saturday and after a short wait we were sat with no problems. The waitress got the entire order correct and did not forget anything. She also had the bill seperated which was good forward thinking.

This place is awesome. I go at least a couple Sundays each week before church with the other guys who help setup for church and this is always a highlight of my week. The service is always great, the food is delicious, and its so cheap! Brighton cafe rocks.

Excellent greasy-spoon breakfast spot. Menu is 100% standard-fare for diners and super-cheap. Service is good. Like all brunch spots though, it does get crowded on the weekends. Be prepared to get there early, or wait a little for a table on Sat/Sun
