wired? no. WIERD puppy, yes. $$ but interesting collection of special drink concoctions. its a little cave tunnel store that youd miss if you didnt see the 248 next door (they are 250). don your miners cap and venture sub terrain. no electricity up front in the 1.5ft tall orange parking cone seats. keep that in mind for your laptop. soft peach colored lighting so you dont miss the sun after 3 hours. three tiny tables with 3 cones each. be serious...fits 5 people if squished. the back room is a claustrophobic curve of socially awkward introverts. but thats where the power outlets are. the view out the back is the dank alley. they DO have WiFi. guys are quick to help with drinks or needs. seating could be improved my f they didnt occupy every inch with FOR SALE CUPS AND MUGS. hipster crowd with no social skills or sense of humor. the visiting dog on a leash was the liveliest customer today.

The food and beverages here are good enough, but if they dont like your tip they will completely ruin your experience. Like many cafes in this area, they put you on the spot to leave a tip whether or not you feel that its worth it. If you dont comply then they will make you wait at least twice as long as the other customers. The last drink I ordered there was a Chai Latte and it tasted like they dumped half of a container of cinnamon in it. Avoid this place and the other cafes that follow a similar business model. There are plenty of cafes in this city that dont brazenly demand a tip and then ruin the customers order if they dont give in.

I got a 50% off coupon for Wired Puppy and was excited to try it out. The ambiance is a bit weird. It was dark and set up strangely if one was looking to do work. They do have wireless which is nice. Their drinks seemed quite expensive. They offer a good selection and were doing some seasonal drinks that looked good. I went with a simple 3 shot medium latté and surpised that with the 50% discount it was still 2.70- $5.40 for a latté with an extra shot. The drink was decent but I wouldnt say that the espresso was that great, I have had better in Boston. It was a nicely made drink but for the price, I will not be returning.

The branding of this coffee shop is a little weird. Its eccentric, I guess? Im not really a fan of the dog logo, but it fits the name of the store. But this is one of the coffee shops that ACTUALLY know about their coffee and teas. When you ask them any question, they explain in detail the coffee grounds or tea leaves that they use. But they dont do it in an obnoxious, sales-y manner, but in an informative, cool way. I got a short soy latte, and the leaf-shaped foam manage to stay in my cup the entire time! I was amused by that. The flavor was very rich and I was jittery all day... so job well done Wired Puppy!

Wired Puppy is a great alternative to the numerous Starbucks coffee shops on every corner of Boston and America it seems. I have nothing against Starbucks (gold card member for almost 2 years), however Wired Puppys coffee is far more authentic, rich and varied. The prices are comparable and the service is spot on. If you are looking for a cup of coffee but want some more choices and an atmosphere that is not quite as corporate chic as Starbucks, try it out.

The coffee was just okay. The espresso was simply inferior. It is a coffee blend bean that is espresso roasted. The espresso machine was set at way to high of a temperature resulting in acidic sour taste. Too many options for coffee in this area to ever return. I will say the back room is really cute to read you email or work on a laptop. The problem of course is that it is crowded with people just squatting on tables for prolonged periods of time.

My favorite coffee place! Theyre very dog friendly and have tables to sit outside (as well as seats in the back room), shaded in the morning and quite sunny in the afternoon. I always get a wolfhound iced coffee but their lattes have been delicious too. They offer soy and almond milk on the bar in addition to the usual dairy options. Im a fan of their loyalty card too. Feels much smaller than the Ptown location but definitely well frequented.

HUGE wait, but they told me when I walked in and they went in order and it didnt seem like staff were slacking at all so it moved fast. I got the hot chocolate and it was the perfect temperate (Im looking at you, dunks) because I could actually drink it and not be burnt and it warmed me up. You can get chocolate whipped cream on top of your hot chocolate. Yes please. But it could never really tell the difference because it melted so fast :(

The sign makes this place out to be an Internet cafe. But unlike Internet cafes of ten years ago, this place isnt full of rent-by-the-hour computers. Its really just a nice, quiet, cozy coffee house on Newbury St. that happens also to have free wifi. They make a really good espresso, they have a wide selection of muffins & croissants, and theres secluded, quiet space in the back where you can work, hang out, or read.

The shop is tucked down under some other stores, but its worth it. This snug and warm coffee shop had several selections to choose from, with the staff being very kind and helpful with answering questions. While the venue itself is a tight squeeze, not uncommon of Boston, its very clean and organized. Be warned, though, the wifi is spotty at best, and the chairs arent the coziest to study on.

I dig the underground vibe of this place, but the space is kinda cramped and despite the "Wired" moniker, the wifi was nonexistent -- had to bum off Back Bays free signal. However! They had a delightful array of non-caffeinated juices, a smiling cashier and an interesting mix of patrons; I would happily come here to perch on the front stoop and peep Newbury passers-by.

Coffee and drinks that rival Starbucks but with the "small town shop" feel that probably comes from starting in P-town. Friendly staff! French Press coffee service. Free WiFi courtesy of the Tech Superpowers next door. Prices are on par with Starbucks. Sign up for their Loyalty Card and every ten visits get one drink free!

The drinks were ok and the vibe was good with decent but not loud music but they do not have their own wireless network so my dreams of getting work done were crushed. Plus, most of the seats are stools without backs which are trendy but not great for when you need to work on long projects. Major disappointment.

I stopped by the wired puppy before I had wireless in my apartment, so I was definitely just bumming their free wi-fi. However, I found that the wired puppy is so much more than just a regular coffee shop. The people are pleasant and will work with you to find the perfect caffinated beverage. I loved it!

Fantastic little cafe. Instead of going to Starbucks, you should totally check out Wired Puppy instead. There is limited seating but there are plenty of outlets to plug in if you do get one. During the summer, you should check out their frozen lemonade which has the right balance of sweetness and tart.
