What can I say? This place is one of my favorite places to go in Boston. So much so that my fiance and I have made it a part of our Saturday morning routine to go in, have a WONDERFUL breakfast, talk with our newly made bartender friend Brad (who is SUCH a nice guy, hard worker, and amazing bartender), and hang out. In fact, I love the place so much that I may or may not dream about the Pastrami Hash and Smoked Salmon Eggs Benedict. The food is wonderful, the quality of ingredients are top notch, they have killer bloody marys/ nice boozy drinks, and the ambiance is great! I give this place my highest recommendation but not on Saturday mornings-- thats my quiet time with Brad, my fiance and Metropolis :D!

Holy moly - this place so good! I go here almost every other weekend. I am a South Ender who loves brunch and have my fair pick of excellent places to eat within a five-minute walk from my apartment...(humble brag). And the MC has to be my favorite. The striking red walls and super accommodating waitstaff will make you feel like you are in a french cafe in Paris. Their strong coffee and good mimosas are a nice compliment to any dish here. My favorite item on the menu is the huevos rancheros with black bean hash, two perfect eggs, and crunchy-fried tortilla strips. After eating every last bite - I always walk out feeling satisfied. A visit here is the perfect way to start to any weekend day.

This is good low key South End option. The prices are pretty good for this area. Lots of classics if you are searching for that. They had lots of fresh salad options to choose from which I was happy about. Their entrées are pretty meat focused and look delicious. I chose the Risotto and enjoyed it. Would like to return for brunch sometime in the future. I really enjoyed the atmosphere and the people here were spot on service wise.

My Husband and I had dinner here last Friday night and it was such a delight. I had the risotto special, that was incredible. It was chicken, bacon, and asparagus. My husband had the rigatoni that was to die for. So tasty. This is a cute little (I mean little) restaurant. Few tables, small bar, but really great service. I enjoyed everything from the salad, to our entrees, and the dessert.

Im from out of town and decided to stop in for Sunday brunch on the recommendation of a resident here. WOW- one of the best meals Ive had since being in the city! The mimosa was excellent and the huevos rancheros was the best of that dish Ive had. Great relaxing atmosphere and staff. Would recommend Metropolis to everyone! Wish they had one back home!!

Really deliciously food. Chicken is so tender. Beef and lamb also very good. Nut, pea, rice, sauce mixed to make a vary taste. My father said American can make delicious food why they eat bread. No air conditioning, kitchen mix with bar, small space. But the good taste will make me back again.

The roast chicken with mashed potatoes is a MUST. Crispy skin on top on velvety mashed potatoes sounds simple but Metropolis elevates it to art. Easily my favorite dish in the South End and the atmosphere and staff add to the overall experience.

I tried out the Met Cafe for Sunday brunch with a couple friends. It was quite crowded but we snagged seats at the bar after a brief wait. I loved the cozy but friendly atmosphere and the huevos rancheros. Ill definitely be back for dinner soon.

Stopped in for dinner on a Thursday night. Quick and friendly staff and, even better, delicious food. Had the Green Gem Lettuce appetizer and Cauliflower and Potato Gratin. Would definitely recommend!

Great Sauces, we shared the brussel sprouts as an appetizer, Sharon had grilled eggplant steak, I had black pearl salmon. The sauces on the dishes were outstanding.
