This Panera location does seem to be one of the best in the area. Although a chain, the menu does seem to be ever changing with new and creative options. The food quality is always good at this location and the baked goods always seem to be fresh. May I suggest their great soups and salads. The only reason for the 4 stars and not 5 is like ive stated before, due to it being a chain, the lack of ownership and pride from its employees is not there and it shows in the service.

As a regular patron at the Swampscott Store Id like to say I love the high quality and excellent taste of sandwiches, salads and soups. The bakery section is a hard one to avoid but Im trying to cut down on white wheat and sugar products. And when Luan is behind the counter the experience is all that much better: Hes personable, friendly in a genuine way, always providing an A+ service that you wont find easily anywhere else. Ive been to a lot of different Paneras, but I think this is one of the better ones in the area. The line always seems to move quickly - I havent had to wait in a mass of people like Ive had to do in other locations. They pretty much always get the order right and service is quick. Plenty of seating. Staff friendliness varies, but this seems to be typical of any chain restaurant.

They have the smallest portion sizes out of every other Panera Ive been to. Meaning they dont fill the salad bowl. My friends chicken noodle soup didnt have any noodles in it and having just ordered a chicken salad sandwich with my office the day before I was amazed how much less chicken salad they put in their sandwiches. I wont go back there.

They do not have enough people at the counter to take your order. Since they put in kiosk they have cut back on counter help. They never fix the problem of the liquid running out of the ends of the tomato mozzarella flat bread sandwich. You almost cant eat it it leaks so bad. Been that way more then a year.

Clean and efficient, delicious food, fresh bagels and so many choices! There is room to sit outside and even though there is just a parking lot for a view, it is really nice to be outside when the weather is warm.

Its your standard Panera in terms of food and coffee. They do limited wifi hours and it can sometimes get a bit busy with college students and group meetings.
