I liked this place the first time I went to watch football. My game was on in the upstairs lounge. For someone that supports a team from across the country and has to go to the bar most weeks to catch the game, I liked the setup as it felt like home--I sat on a couch and enjoyed the game. This week, though, the TV was turned off and we were asked to leave with 2 minutes left in the game and my team marching down the field for what turned out to be a game winning drive. It turns out the only tv showing my game ( chicago bears) was in an area that they rented out for a private party. They did not tell any patrons that they would have to vacate the area at a certain time. When it became clear a private party was moving in, I repeatedly asked if it was possible to get the game on another tv so I could move out of the reserved space. Each time, I was told to just finish watching the game there. Then with under 2 minutes to go, the manager came into the room, turned off the TV, and told me to go downstairs. Of course, there was no TV with the bears game on down there. When I approached management about this, they said they have no way of knowing that people are there to watch certain games. I tried to explain that they do know if their space is rented out and that they should let patrons know if a TV will become unavailable at a certain time. The manager didnt seem to understand why that was important. So, if you want below average food and the chance of having your game turned off, with no warning and no opportunity to view it on another tv, go here. Otherwise, definitely pass. I wont be going back.

SOOOO Disappointed!!! This started becoming our favorite neighborhood joint when the place first opened with friendly staff, great specials and a fabulous atmosphere. Its declined in quality over recent weeks and our latest experience was the nail in the coffin. Last night we went out for our weekly happy hour. First the bartender ignored us for over 15 minutes (even though there were only a handful of people at the bar), then he proceeds to tell us the beer we asked for was having issues with the tap and instead of checking on it proceeded to watch the TV for the next five minutes till we flagged him down and asked for alternate drinks. He never updated us on when the beer would be available - didnt check in on us throughout the night. Half and hour later he brought our bill after asking at least three people for it. However the best was when he tried to short change us!!! Our tab was $11 - we handed him a 20 and he brought back only 5 bucks in change thinking we wouldnt notice. Then took another ten minutes to bring the correct change. What a nightmare -- I used to bring friends and family to the Fire Station when they visited but after this experience, I dont want to ever go back. Its a shame because the atmosphere and the people there when it first started were absolutely 5 star quality!

Been wanting to go to this place since I started working at Downtown Silver Spring, so last sat I finally did. Came around a little pass 11 am, doors were still closed but the sign did say they open at 11 on Saturdays. Finally someone did opened the the door I asked the guy if they were open and he wasnt even sure that if they were, thought to myself, thats not good customer service. But as soon as we got to the counter there were a bunch of people that look like they all work there. Some guy came up to me, very friendly and very polite asked me if I need help, I told him all wanted to order food for lunch. He gave me the menu, since this was my first time, I wasnt sure what to order, the guy came back to me and asked if I needed help ordering, He explained almost everything on the menu that he thinks I would like, he was very good and very pleasant. While I stood there waiting for my food a waiter actually came up to me and gave me a glass of water. Now thats GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE. Then eventually the guy came back to me and told me he was the owner. Really cool guy and he actually talks to customers!! Will definitely come back!! I ordered the Cuban Sandwich with fries, it was really good, well cook, seasoned perfectly and the fries was not burned!! I have fallen in love to this place!

Worst customer service I have ever experienced in a restaurant. A large group of us came in after a choir performance because it is open late and can seat a large group. They seated us and gave us the late night menu. The service was incredibly slow, we had to explicitly ask for napkins and silverware, and the server kept on leaving before we had given all of our orders. When the food arrived, it was mediocre. I had the chicken quesadilla, my boyfriend had the chicken tenders. They were okay but not great.Shortly after our food arrived, the server told us we would have to leave at 11:30 (in about 15 minutes) so they could move the tables and make room for a nightclub. They didnt tell us this when we were seated. They literally started cleaning up our food as we were still eating. It was the rudest experience I have ever experienced. They made us feel very unwelcome, despite the fact that we were paying customers and had not been causing any problems. We wanted to stay longer and order more things but clearly werent going to do that after they treated us so rudely. In short, not very good food and the worst, most disrespectful service I have ever experienced.

First time coming here. LAST time coming here. Where do I begin? Oh thats right, first going in and waiting to be seated but nobody was anywhere to be found to help. Since I could not be seated with my good friend we went over to the bar. My buddy goes to the restroom, comes back to the bar and one of the employees gets in his face grilling him about a chair and if he was using it when he clearly was. To make things worse, ordering food seems to be an issue with this place as a simple order of wings and quesadillas turned out to be a marathon of waiting and twiddling of thumbs for just about an hour I would say. The bartender who took our food order had the nerve to come back later and ask us "you guys ordered food right?" He came back again later and told us what happened and offered us a next round of drinks for free, which we vigorously declined. We ended up getting our food after a few grey hairs kicked in from all that waiting and old age. To top it off, wings were a bit cold and the quesadillas werent the best. Terrible service. Terrible food. Terrible restaurant. Dont waste your time!

Used to love this place, but had a terrible experience last time I was there, and it will be the last time I dine or drink there. We showed up with a fairly large group after a concert, as this place used to be fairly accommodating. They used to have unique beers brewed for this place, but our server had no idea what I was talking about when I ran down three off the top of my head that Id enjoyed last time. They had nothing on tap you couldnt get in any other bar in Silver Spring. After about half an hour our server told us that wed need to clear out shortly so they could change over to a dance club. (A what now?) Several of our party hadnt even received their food yet, and we were being told wed need to separate to smaller groups in the few booths they were leaving or clear out. If wed been informed that we werent welcome when we walked in, we wouldve headed over to Jackies, McGintys, or Quarry House, or really any other bar in town that does want patronage. Needless to say, our list of choices for late night dining and drinks have just become one shorter, and so should yours.
