I have been going to this store since 2006. I love Panera bread and I always go to Panera bread every time I got an opportunity in any state. I love their food and their contents. However, I am really disappointed with the silver spring Panera bread store. The current manager in store 8541 Georgia avenue, silver Spring, MD 20910 is extremely rude. On March 1, 2014, I went to the restaurant at 3:45pm. As usual, customers were waiting on line to place an order. I was not in a hurry; therefore, I decided to find a seat until the line goes down.. I only stayed there for 4 minutes, this manager came to me and said, if you do not make an order, you have to leave the place. He is extremely rude. I asked him, I have been here for four minutes and are you kicking me out? He said , "YES" if you did not order. I said what kind of customer service is that? After I said that HE just left. I could not stay there any longer because he did not deserve my loyality. The manager in this store is extremely offensive and does not know anything about customer service. It is not only with me, I have also observed with other customers as well. I will never ever go to this store again and so are my friends. The fact that many people come to this restaurant does not mean that they have to treat people rudely. I am extremely, extremely disappointed.

The Caucasian Manager at this facility wanted me to get out of Panera Bread, because I have a service dog... I showed him the license of the service dog and he still have an actitude and say... Seriously you need to go. So, I showed him my military ID. He was like hum hum. Then he gave me the ID backs with an actitude and didnt say anything about it. What pissed me off was he didnt apologize that the dog was a service dog. All because I look so young and he taught I was just a kid. Unbelievable, my son is in high school not me. Imagined that, and my husband and I was at this facility without our son. Im still shocked about the approach, people shouldnt judge someone by they looks. Looks can be deceiving. This manager should had take this more professional and he discriminate my service dog. By law NO facility cannot discriminate a service dog. Im very dissapointed and I will never ever come back here ever again.

In all of my beautiful years on this Earth I had never visited a Panera Bread locale. Id heard much about the spot, but never actually gave it much thought. Recently I had to visit Silver Spring for a doctors appointment and my GPS informed that there was a Starbucks close by. Well long story short I couldnt find the Starbucks, but in my effort to save time I pulled into this venue. Honestly even after perusing the menu I wasnt impressed, but knew I needed something to put in my stomach. I ended up ordering the Turkey and Spinach breakfast sandwich with added avocados and a Super Berry Smoothie. The Smoothie was really delicious...the sandwich was meh. I could barely taste the said avocados. Tragic. Definitely not a place Id try again unless in a bind as I was before.

By far, the worst Panera experience Ive ever had. They were out of every bread besides plain white loaf, all the floors were incredibly dirty, and employees were disengaged. The worst part of my experience here was as I was eating my Chicken Noodle Soup, I found a few pieces of beef. I dont really know how this happened unless a steak sandwich fell into it or the meat from one did. Found it it pretty gross. As I went back to the food counter, I asked for Mac & Cheese politely. The lady rolled her eyes, turned her back, as I started talking. She eventually inspected my soup and told me to go throw it away myself. Who does that? Crazy. I will definitely never be back at this Panera.

Sort of a "meh" Panera. The food/drinks are the same as any other Panera, so if you like Panera youll be fine with the eats here. The problem comes with everything else: its a pretty drafty location, so during the winter youll struggle to find a warm place to sit; the staff is so-so; and, most frustratingly, the WiFi is terrible. tl;dr: If you like Panera, grab some food to go, but I wouldnt bother having a sit-down meal. (Unless you can sit right next to the fireplace, which is quite cozy.)

The salads here seem smaller than ones Ive gotten at other Paneras. Im still unsure if they are or not. My Panera standard order is a BBQ Chicken Salad and a BBQ Chicken flatbread. Tastes great but they dont always have the flat bread on the menu. Its frustrating that Panera constantly changes the menu getting rid of some of my favorites. The smoothies are AWESOME.

Placed online order to be ready at 1:20pm. Showed up at 1:12pm. Fended off multiple attempts to help me from people who didnt know Id already ordered. My salad and apple are hand-delivered to me at 1:15pm with an extra apple for my wait. WTF? Where are the jaded, abusive employees? This is not how corporate restaurants. Im pleased and confused.

The sandwiches and baked goods are excellent! However, the management is not always consistent. As a disabled veteran one of the assistant managers refused me service because of my service dog — a per se violation of Titles II and III of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). The corporate management needs to provide training to the local staff.

Worst Panera in the DMV. Rude employees and management does not respond to complaints made officially through their website. Dont order online at this location. The food is never ready on time, so you will still have to wait in their slow lines. Save your time and money and go to Potbellys, Shophouse, or any other restaurant in the area.

I love eating in Panera, every time that I go there, it is nice and clean, I love my onion soup in a bread and the salad, but last time I ordered the tomato mozzarella Panini – this is my new favorite. I have to say that the employees in the Rockville branch on Jefferson st. are nice and welcoming. See you next time.

Not happy that not one but three times! Our apples & chips are missing:( Then my husband had to go back the next day! The manager 7/31/17 gave him apples & chips next day! What horrible service! He should have credit the entire amount! Sandwich was gone day after! Not going back!

I arrived today hoping to order the lentil broth bowl with an egg, but the only broth bowl still on the menu was the Thai garden chicken wonton broth bowl. I hope that is just a seasonal change, because as a vegetarian, I really liked the lentil broth bowl. Please bring it back.

Ordered an Almond milk Latte and my cup was half full, told the manager and he basically accused me by saying he gave me a full cup. Even-though he said he can refill it the fact that he even doubted i would do such a petty thing is atrocious. Shouldve stuck with Starbucks!

I do love the breakfast Mediterranean sandwich I am so addicted to it I try to have it every morning that with the coffee makes my day derive is good and I love going there taking my time before work who ever did not try it yet you will not regret it.
