The worst service, food, and attitudes I have ever experience while on vacation. The wait to get a table was expected as well as the wait to recieve the food. HOWEVER the waitress was not able to service our table enough. We recieved our food last after being seated for over 40 MINUTES! Then the food was cold! Not to mention we saw everyone in our entire section recieve the food prior to us, which only caused us more disturbance! After recieving my food I promptly asked so speak to the manager. I was greeted by a college-aged lady with a chip on her shoulder. I explained my complaints and awaited a simple response or one of normalcy (i.e. let me take those hashbrowns off of your bill). However I was told, THERE IS NOTHING I CAN DO. Then she wasnt even the manager! She listened and walked away. I explained my distaste for her NONCHALANT attitude because as customers our complaints should not fall on death ears. She said well I spoke to the waitress and your food wasnt cold nor did it take that long. SO, she called me and my husband a LIAR !!! So if you would like a LONG wait, Cold food and poor service PLEASE eat at Laytons! However Me and my hubby will never eat there again! Hope this discourages potential customers and encourages management to change their ways.

When people ask where to grab breakfast in Ocean City, Laytons is the first place my brother and I think of. We go at least twice a year. Why? Laytons has some of the best breakfasts that weve ever had! Ive loved their sweet potato pancakes and coconut banana pancakes (they even have a really good crab cake benedict, the Neptune) but this past August, I wanted to be different and tried the sausage gravy. In my honest opinion, it was the best decision Ive ever made. Theirs is leaps and bounds above most Ive had if not any Ive had! Oh, and lets not forget those donuts! When you go, youre likely going to be tempted with samples of donuts, whether it be while youre waiting or when youre at your table. That temptation only gets stronger when you pass by the counter and see all of the donuts sitting there! Theyre all freshly made, and with such variety, theyre hard to pass up! Youll find it hard to make a wrong decision here, and likely, you also will walk out of here full. Take my advice. If youre looking for somewhere for breakfast in Ocean City, head to Laytons on the corner of 16th and Philadelphia at least once. Youll be glad you did!

On the plus side: --Lots of inside seating for inclement weather, more so than some restaurants on/near the beach. --Our food was served fairly quickly even though they were busy. --Although we didnt have any, their donut selection was impressive and was obviously one of their specialties. On the minus side: --The orange juice was weak/watered down and served in thick paper cups. --The egg, cheese, and ham sandwich was my go-to breakfast every morning during our trip, and theirs was easily the smallest, with thin helpings of each ingredient. I didnt mind, but you can get a bigger, more professional-looking meal for the same amount of money or less at other places. Conclusion: there are better breakfast options in the general area.

Terrible. Got one of the specials that was certainly special. It was a Neptune benedict, and it was so bad. I took two bites out of the meal and had to give it back. Hadnt done that in years but I rly couldnt pay the outrageous price and just not eat it. Got a western omelet which is pretty hard to screw up on, but they did. Eggs not cooked long enough and the cook most likely put something in it that got me sick. Could go out that night completely ruined my last night at the beach. Not to mention the fact that I was there with a crowd, but could see 4 tables closest to the door clearly open, that they didnt want to use. Instead they break us up into a booth and table where the ac was dripping on one my friends head.

I have gone there for 28 years now with family members when we are visiting and its the great service and good food that we have become accustomed to but the local community residents and our heroes in the Police and fire departments that make you feel at home and very welcome not to mention seeing the former Mayor now Senator there taking the time to say hello during his daily coffee and breakfast.. And did I mention that if you dont talk to Larry Layton the owner when he is saying hello to everyone with his hot fresh made donuts samples or bringing you a second coffee then you where at the wrong family restaurant in Ocean city...

Awesome! Went for the first time the morning of the OC Air Show just because it was close. Super crowded 30 minute wait (in shade!!). Owner brought out free ice water for everyone waiting, then returned later with free chocolate covered doughnuts! The Neptune eggs Benedict with crab was delicious. Kids had chocolate chip pancakes and bacon which they could have split one plate of. Service was great and the staff is obviously very used to the crowds because they were like a well oiled machine turning over tables quickly to keep the wait down. Will definitely be there for breakfast before next years air show.

The Neptune Benedict was delicious, made with crab-cake topped with egg, and sauce on an English muffin along with the potatoes with cheese and topped with old bay. Our server was very good, he brought us everything we needed without having to wait, kept our drinks filled and made sure we were happy with everything. We didnt have a long wait either, we were seated within minutes at lunchtime.

Always delicious, always a good time. Everyone comes in and leaves happy and full. My kids only want Laytons and after the pancakes they still have to have donuts. Its all too good! And we enjoy seeing Mr Layton himself, such a happy gentleman. The staff is always friendly and its just a happy place all around. Its an OC staple that I grew up having breakfast at and now my kids.Thank You!!

Laytons is So delicious everytime! I just had my breakfast at work this morning. The Neptune benedict is crazy delish. The hollandaise sauce, the overeasy eggs and the potatoes are an amazing mix with crab!! Everything there is always so scrumptious. Its also nice to see a great mix of people enjoying themselves and the smell of the fresh brewed coffee is fantastic! Love you Laytons!!

Service was great and the place is so cute. But the breakfast was below average. We received our food only 5 minutes after we ordered. My mother and I got omelets. Everything in our omelets wasnt cooked. The veggies were hard and the ham wasnt browned. The home fries were just hard fried potatoes that were tasteless. Very over priced for the food. Not going back

Best breakfast and lunch in Ocean City. Larry, the Owner, personally delivers fresh donut samples to your table and provides a warm and inviting atmosphere for the entire family. Nothing but fresh ingredients and great service. If you are in Ocean City, you MUST visit Laytons on 16th Street. I will come back to Ocean City just to visit Laytons!!!
