Went for a Valentines day dinner with high expectations. We had reservations for 3:45 and got there at 3:30. We got seated immediately and then sat for 20 minutes before our server came and asked us if anyone had helped us yet... This was the beginning of very slow service throughout the entire meal. After getting menus, I asked the server a couple of questions about the menu, so he had to read what was on the menu, then said, theyre both good and have about the same amount of food. It was pretty obvious that he was making up his answer and didnt really know. We ordered lobster with crab imperial but he forgot to order the extra crab for us. The lobster itself was ok although the menu said it was a 12 ounce lobster and there may have been 4 ounces. It was not sweet lobster but it was still ok. We also had a New York Strip Oscar. The steak was ok as well but seemed very underseasoned and not nearly as good as it could have been. Prior to the entree coming we had bacon wrapped scallops which were very good and cream of crab soup with was just ok as well, certainly not great. We had a boston cream cheesecake for dessert which was very good. We made sure not to order one of their homemade desserts and instead opted for one by "Rita". The meal cost $124 and I was expecting to say Mmmm with every bite. That certainly was not the case and the poor service from our waiter and lack of interest in our experience by the entire staff led to a very disappointing meal. I definitely wish I had been able to get reservations at Laurapin.

Basic menu, bad service, dirty environment, expensive meals, loud area. After our hour long wait, we sat down to dirty plates on dirty table cloth. Basic potato skin app was burnt.... took 5 minutes to get a refill on my water (had to flag down our waitress, diferent server filled my glass once). Extremely loud. Boyfriends food taste like seafood, he ordered chicken.... Oh look..... theres a bug on the table! Lazy bus boys throwing trash in grass and plant area. Great view of water and trash.... did I mention loud? So loud, bad service, high prices, dirty.... oi and a dirty, sticky candle light in middle table, classy. Management didnt know any of the workers names. There was a waiter serving the table next to ours, very polite gentleman who conversed with his customers (experience would have been a little less terrible if we had him). Our waitress didnt know the menu, and wouldnt address me unless I demanded her attention. I was completely disatisfied. Wheres a health inspector when you need one??

This place has average food thats overpriced with terrible service. We got there at 5:30pm. It took an hour to be seated and another hour to get our food. My wife asked for the shrimp salad wrap and was told "we ran out." Then she ordered the California burger only to have it arrive with no avocado on it. The only thing "California" about it was that it had sprouts on it. They didnt take it back or invite us to substitute something else for it. Then when the bill came, they hadnt taken the burger off the bill. I asked our waitress about it and she said she couldnt do anything and that Id have to talk to a manager. So then I waited another 10 minutes for the manager to arrive. Instead of taking the whole burger off of our bill, he only took $2.50 off for the missing avocado. We werent able to get out of there until 8pm. So our whole evening was shot because this restaurant couldnt get their stuff in order. Do not go here unless you want to waste a perfectly beautiful evening in Havre de Grace.

Had to wait about 20 minutes to get a table at 2:00 PM on Saturday. Was pleased to see they allow dogs outside, so we took my friends lab with us, and the waitress brought a bowl of water for the dog before we got our drinks. :) View was great, one of my friends likes trains and liked watching the Amtrak and Acela trains zip by on the bridge over the Susquehanna River. I liked watching the sailboats go by on the river. The food was pretty good. My grilled swordfish, the special, was slightly dry but the rice pilaf was very good. My friends had the orange talapia and a hamburger, both of those were better than mine. The worst part was the slow service, it took a long time to get our food, and even longer to get the bill. If they were faster, I dont think we would have had to wait for a table because they could turn the tables over faster. We didnt mind too much because it was a beautiful day but most other times this would be more disappointing.

Waited over 30 minutes for food. Got our salads and appetizer at the exact same time. We werent even finished with our appetizer and our entrees came out. Mine, of course, was wrong. The food wasnt horrible, but not great either. The crab dip just tasted like hot cream cheese with very little crab through out. I ordered the salmon Florentine, but ended up with the broiled seafood platter. The seafood was cooked decently, but still, it was wrong. They were so understaffed that I didnt bother our poor waitress. She was constantly running from one table to another. We went over 15 minutes without drinks at one point, but it wasnt her fault because she was so busy. My husband got softshell crabs stuffed with crab imperial. The crab imperial was slimy and seemed to be not cooked through. Maybe it would have been better if they werent so busy? But we are from out of town so wont be back to try it any time soon.

Dont waste your time or money. The place looks nice but its all show. It was my wifes birthday dinner. Our waiter showed up once to take our order, once to drop off our appetizers, and once to drop our check off. He brought us crab dip (which was too thick with very little crab meat) instead of the crab balls we ordered. The waiter was very very dry and disinterested. My wifes chicken chesapeake had something spoiled in it and had to be sent back. The waiter never came back to offer a box for my leftover chicken parm, which was ok with me, i left without it because it was for the dog anyway because I didnt care for it. I called back to complain and the manager said she would send me a gift certificate so we could come back and see it was nit the norm and the owner would personally call me to talk about it. Well they never sent any gift certificates and the owner never called.

We just left here and I was very disappointed by the whole experience. The waiter didnt come to our table for ten minutes after we were seated and it took 45 minutes for appetizers to come out. The seafood sampler was okay but we had to ask another waiter to bring us plates so we could eat it. The food came quickly after that but was disappointing as well. The Santa Fe chicken wrap I had was tasteless and the chicken was lukewarm- as if it had been heated by microwave for not long enough or just let to sit after cooking. The mussels ordered by my neighbor were so overcooked they were mushy, and the salad that came with a meal was wilted. Drinks were refilled in a timely fashion but that was literally the only positive thing I have to say. The womens bathroom was only partway functional and the mens bathroom was filthy by multiple accounts (there was feces on the sink).
