Stopped at this little cafe on the way home from visiting Mt Harmin Plantation, thanks to a brochure we picked up at the plantation office. Great location and easy parking right along the Sassafras, by the marina, right where George Street meets Rt213. The staff were great, very friendly, and the food was delicious. I had a pulled pork sandwich that was excellent, my wife had a chicken sandwich that she loved. The cafe itself was clean and tidy, as were the restrooms, afterwards we took a walk around the marinas and spent some time in the gift shop/marine store located next to the cafe. Will definately return to try other items on the menu.

We went in to get some iced teas togo and a dessert. It was a nice atmosphere so we decided to eat in house. At the end of our visit, we asked for our iced teas to be topped off and were told they couldnt be cause they were originally togo. The person that helped us was cold and had poor eye contact. She turned us off on the whole visit.

The Sassafrass Harbor Cafe is a very clean, nice and cozy place to eat! The employees are friendly and helpful! The food is good and there is a variety on the menu. You can eat in or take out. We will go back again!

Quaint harbor location for great food and decadent desserts. Try the Rockfish Johnnys hot sauce. You will not be disappointed! Its Chef Johns secret recipe and you will put it on everything and be back for more.

Excellent. Crabcake platter with baked potato and asparagus. Yummy. Definitely hand made crabcakes with very little filling.
