I cannot in good conscious recommend this particular IHOP. I arrived on a late afternoon Tuesday and it was not very busy at all, and I had to wait a little bit to get noticed and seated (shouldve been my first clue). Once seated, I noticed that the table had not been properly set with silverware. The waitress asked if I wanted something to drink to start (as she should) and I ordered coffee as usual. She did bring my coffee, but still no silverware to stir the cream and sugar. I politely asked for a spoon and she acknowledged the request. I waited several minutes and observed her walking by several times to wait on other customers. Eventually I had to stop her and request silverware again, and by the time I got it the coffee was no longer hot (it likely wasnt to begin with). I always order the same dish when I eat at any IHOP, which is the Chicken Fajita Omelet and blueberry pancakes. While I waited, which seemed to be an unnecessarily long time, I observed members of the wait and kitchen staff laughing and joking around. No one seemed to be taking their job seriously or had any sense of urgency. When the food finally arrived I noticed that the omelet looked a bit "off" considering it didnt have the signature salsa and sour cream on top. I waited a few more minutes for someone to come by so I could inform them that my meal was incomplete. I stopped a gentlemen who appeared to be a bit senior to the other wait staff (perhaps the manager?) and let him know that my omelet was missing something. He looked at me kind of sideways as if I were a nusance and told me to give my waitress a minute and she would take care of me. I then noticed he approached her and whispered something in her ear. Only after that did she bring me a side of salsa and sour cream. My food was lukewarm and did not taste right, so I just didnt finish it. "Well, at least Ill have some good blueberry pancakes out of this deal" I thought to myself. The pancakes finally arrived, and when I got about a quarter of the way into it I noticed that the batter wasnt fully cooked and was quite raw near the center. At this point I lost my appetite completely and just wanted to leave. I informed my waitress that it was a disappointing meal, explained why, and asked for the bill so I can get the hell out of there. They ended up giving me a couple bucks off my ticket (wow), which probably shouldve been reduced significantly more considering the piss poor service and food. It was clear that the young waitress wasnt properly trained and this reflects very poor management of the facility and staff overall. I dont blame the staff, as theyre mostly young kids, probably just trying to pay their way through school. But the leadership of that facility was clearly absent and did not give proper guidance to the staff to provide quality food and service. It is incumbent upon those who manage the facility to ensure their employees understand the importance of delivering quality service and extend the proper amount of respect and courtesy to their paying customers. Sadly, the practice of poor customer service isnt exclusive to this restaurant in this particular area. Its a decline in society overall, its just much worse in the capital region. Im glad I no longer live in this state.

I waited for almost an hour to be seated and it was only myself and an additional person. I was standing outside because the inside was packed and I could here the intercom on the outside as names were being called. After about 45 min. there was enough room to sit inside. I saw several larger parties that had come in after me get seated and decided to see if I had been overlooked. I discovered my name had been called and I informed the young man that they might want to check and see if the intercom was functioning properly outside because I had only heard two names called the entire time I was out there. The young man said that the intercom system was new and kept going in and out. When I heard this I asked him why they were not going outside to make sure guests knew when the were called and he could not answer. Once seated, I immediately noticed that my table had coffee on it. The waitress also observed this but insured of using a wet cloth to clean the table, she used a dry napkin. I ordered my food, a t-bone steak and eggs medium well, and when I received it the meat was rare. Do not waste your time and money on this place. There is a ruby tuesdays on the opposite side of the parking lot. Go there instead.

Friday 9am, parking lot full, we got a table right away, the booth seat had a huge tear in it. My friends ordered coffee, had to ask for sugar. There was something floating in one of the waters. My friend ordered blueberry waffles. At end of order waitress asked if we would like ketchup. I said yes. She delivered food. No waffles. She went back to kitchen and found out "the waffle maker is not waffling". She offered to substitute pancakes. They we delivered quickly but not blueberry. She did not bring ketchup, we asked for it and she brought hot sauce. I am amazed how many people were there and how bad the experience. Will not be back

Ive been here 3 time during my 5 day visit to the area. Each time I had great food, great service and good talks with my company! I give it 4 stars because while the service was great, the older servers gave better service with attention to details, even during breakfast rush, than the one younger server we got during the afternoon slowdown 2pm and the place was empty. Great Job (Janice & Catherin) train those younger ones!

My party was 4 and we arrived on a Saturday evening with very few diners in the restaurant. Our waiter seemed to be irritated with us from the beginning. Our food took very long and came out cold. Our waiter seemed to not know what youre welcome mean because not once did he say that to the many thank yous we gave. I will not step foot in this IHOP ever again.
