Yesterday, we traveled with a group of friends for almost 2 hours to the Ice Cream Barn near Chestertown. Unfortunately, we did not check the hours of operation before we left so they had just closed before we arrived. They were sufficiently gracious to re-open for us. Their flavors were both unusual (using locally grown ingredients) and were delicious. They were the epitome of southern hospitality. They spent time with us telling us about their operation and history. If you are looking for great ice cream and wonderful people, we STRONGLY recommend the Ice Cream Barn!!!! Ben & Jerrys look out! You will have strong competition from the Ice Cream Barn!
