I have to agree with everyone else. Yesterday was my first and last time at this sonic. Its too small with not enough stalls, not enough parking, and terrible management. I was pulling into the stall, and an employee walked up to my car and told me that I had to leave my stall and go into the drive thru line in order to get a stall. There were no signs to this effect. So I get in line and as I get closer to the drive thru order box a car in front of me (who actually came after me) got a stall. When I finally get to the order box, I and my girlfriend feel rushed because I was unable to take my time to look at the menu like I planned. After I place my rushed order, I watch as a car just drives in and takes a stall without waiting on the "required" drive through line. Also it appeared to me that the parking lot attendant was talking on his phone while talking at ushering the cars to their proper place in the drive thru line. Then while we are waiting behind the car at the pick up window, already frustrated at our experience, we hear employees talking loudly to each other down the sidewalk outside the building. We also observe the car at the drive thru window have to honk their horn 5 or 6 times to get the attention of the window attendant. THEN we watch as another customer actually has to walk up to the drive thru area to get anybodys attention because she had waited an exorbitant amount of time and pressed the call button more than 10 times. The manager actually said to her that there was only one person taking orders, and it would have been different if she had come on any other night. So yeah. Dont go here.

This place is the worst. I use to go to Edgewater, MD and their Sonics customer service is a whole lot better. This Sonic in Capitol Heights needs a new staff. I never experienced horrible customer service with fast food places. I didnt see a manager on duty yesterday. A customer came in the side door and went to the back then a guy from the back came out to talk to the customer(young lady). They were standing in the hall talking for about 20 minutes. The pregnant young lady on the register had terrible customer service. A customer wasnt ready to order so she walked away from the register and went in the back. She was standing around talking to the people in the back. I dont know who was taking the drive thru orders but I repeated my order to her twice and she repeated my order back but still put mustard on my sandwich. I never asked for mustard. I asked for a turtle pecan blast she put on my receipt a snickers blast. I will never eat from this Sonic again. I will take the ride to Edgewater, MD. The district manager of this Sonic needs to find a new staff that has better customer service and dont mind working

I cant even give this place 1 star- we stopped here to grab what we thought was going to be a quick bite. Nothing else was open except Wawa, we soon wished we had gone there. The lines for both car service and drive-thru were long but we waited...and waited...finally we got a spot in the car service where we waited 10-15 minutes just to order our food. In the meantime, we saw people in the drive-thru line get sick of waiting and leave without their food. We finally pushed the button again to check on our food (after waiting at least half an hour)- the first employee who came to the car tried to pass himself off as a manager and told us they were trying to find pineapples for the milkshake we ordered- seriously?? Finally, the employee we believed to actually be the manager came over to the car and apologized, said because it was a holiday, everyone called out. The food was cold- the manager could have at least taken something off our bill. I hope the no-shows didnt have a job to go to the next day. I will never visit Sonic again!

I gave them a chance... 3 times... but it just never got any better. The hardest thing to deal with is the wait times. I went the first month they were open and a few times since and I wasnt just not impressed, I was disappointed. Every other Sonic Id been to was thoroughly satisfying from start to finish, but something is very wrong here. I spoke to the manager on duty, whom I saw walking around in the kitchen, and I asked him what was going on that was making everything take so long. He told me that he was sitting in the office in the back dealing with something from upper management and he was training 3 new hires... then I told him "you know Im not alone in wondering whats going on back there." And he said they only know were not happy when we tell them. "So youve never seen the reviews on google?" And he says "oh yeah..." Something aint right back there! Lets go, corporate, do something about this one!

I been to plenty of sonics this is the worst one they are so damn slow like the slowest no skates so they just slow strolling to your car. I sat at the order box for 13 minutes exactly while watching the other side get 3 orders taken by this point im like wow cars that got here after me are ahead of me, now speaking on that people act crazy over here i had a old woman trying to cut me off in the drive thru as she stated she was a great grand mother. This sonic was just the worst i hate coming here but my wife loves this place this location just sucks staff are extremely slow. My overall experience was 1 hour to get food in the drive thru thats crazy in every fast food spot they want u out the drive thru as soon as possible this is my last time going here. Next time ill just get sardis chicken 1 hour for food is just beyond belief for a fast food spot

Horrible service. We waited at least 3 minutes after we pushed the order button. We were asked to wait twice once someone finally spoke. Waited probably 8 minutes since pushing the button before ordering. My husband had to repeat several times our order. We have waited 20 minutes since ordering. An employee did come to our car, but not with our order. My husband just went inside to inquire. The person he spoke to sounded surprised that we had not gotten our food. My husband stated that when he went in the staff was standing around laughing. Another staff had to get their attention to ask where our food was. We had to wait a total of 25 minutes after we ordered and a total of 40 minutes at the restaurant. We got an unsympathetic sorry when we finally got our food. Do not eat here.

When the Sonic location opened I was excited seeing that I am an avid Sonic fan. Every time we travel to any state where I pass a Sonic I usually dont mind stopping to eat there but I have become more and more disappointed by this local branch of the Sonic fast-food chain that has opened up. When this location initially opened, the quality of service was exceptional as well as the attention put into making the food. As time has gone on the service has dramatically declined , the food has become horrible and I constantly find myself taking my food items out of the bags looking like they have been shaken up and thrown inside or prepared by a blind person. I definitely plan on taking this local Capitol Heights branch of Sonic off of my fast food locations to eat.
