The longish, rectangular standalone building looks pretty much like most other Waffle House locations, but this one has abundant parking because it is a pad site in front of a strip mall. Major plus is they have a lot of booths, although you can also sit at the counter or at one of the smaller tables if you prefer. The cook has a sense of style. Instead of just piling the toppings on, I noticed that he prepared the "all the way" hashbrowns with different areas for different toppings. Thats probably only a big plus for food photography purposes but some folks may like it this way. Service was also pretty good. The server checked on the tables frequently and promptly fetched anything that we needed. Incidentally, these "all the way" hashbrowns are a good value at Waffle House. For $5, you can get a hashbrowns platter with all their toppings, which is a substantial serving of food. The only thing that bothered me was most of the time, the staff banter was about things they could do to get fired on the spot and about what would happened if they all quit the Waffle House job at the same time. Fortunately, they didnt pursue that fantasy during our dinner!

Been here to this waffle house 4 times and Im going to give it 4 stars just because the staff brings it up from a 3 to a 4. Their hash browns any way you like with LOADS of topping choices is he best part of the menu. Have to say the sausage gravy was cold and sticky and gloppy (thank gosh I ordered it on the side), but otherwise this hash brown choices are the bomb. Food is very reasonably priced and I think BREAKFAST is one of the best deals around. I will say that both times i went i was kind of disgusted that the menus were so sticky . UNBELIEVABLY sticky.Not sure why they never get cleaned. Wait staff and even the cooking staff were very friendly. Even the cooks seem to always ask if everything is ok with your food, which I found very refreshing and showed me they actually cared if they were doing a good job. Im rating this place a 4 out of 5 stars not because its a 4 star restaurant food wise but because its decent food for what it is and the staff is accommodating and pleasant. Now if they would just clean those sticky menus!

Im a big fan of Waffle House - been in dozens all down the east coast. Before they came to Maryland, I used to drive out of state once in a while just to get breakfast. This is, without a doubt, the worst Waffle House Ive ever been in. A dirty store with a seriously inattentive staff (first time I wasnt greeted at the door), waited 10 minutes for a table to be cleaned off, then another 10 minutes to have to ASK for coffee. Six employees in the store, maybe a dozen customers and they were running around doing... who knows what. Definitely not paying attention to the people waiting to eat. Food finally came... never seen grits brown and runny like poorly made cream of wheat. The eggs were half cooked and runny. I would add that they didnt offer to top off the coffee, but I didnt stay long enough. As someone who has waited tables and who knows what decent service is, I have to say this is the first time in a long time that I grudgingly left a tip - was tempted not to. All in all, this one should be skipped!

First, I am a regular at Waffle House, Riverside, Md. I have read some of the posts, and will say, unless you ask why something is done the way it is, dont criticize. I have both good and bad opinions on this store. Some cooks can do better, as they learn, some are real good. Considering they are normally cooking 2 or more orders at once. Your food is prepared where you can see it. They clean things every few hours,so yes, at times the store appears messy. The servers, most of them are barely out of high school, some are in college. So, I give them good marks for the service they provide. Not everyone is going to be who you expect them to be. Remember, much like your job, they deal with many different personality types, they will have a bad moment. The food is good. Management is pretty good, for the most part. The servers deserve 3-5 stars. Ive seen many come and go. Overall, 4.5 of 5 stars.

I absolutely love the waffle house. I mean its not the cleanest place in the world to eat if you look behind the counter on the floor youre probably almost gets sick seeing all the switched food from the workers sitting stepping on the foods that they dropped on the floor were kicking him underneath the counters or whatever but I will say I love you I miss you I love the food and if you can Overlook just a bunch of chaos which is really what it is when you go theres a bunch of people running around heres all the tables are full its just a great place to eat I have no complaints about anything thats ever happened there quick to serve the food is good the food is Price Rite Aid again just dont look behind the counter

Stopped at Waffle House on the way home from Philadelphia for some desert. Unfortunately, all they had was one pre, that they pulled out of the fridge, took off the clear plastic wrap in front of us. Cut two small pieces, out the plastic warship back on and back in the fridge. Had I not paid before getting the pie, I would have laughed and left. But since I had paid, I ate it and it was a serviceable pie. I gave it there stars, because the service was crazy fast. Although I know most restaurants probably have their desserts like that, you shouldnt show the customer that! And the pie was serviceable, thats the best description I can give. But I requested speed and got it, so three stars.

Was there for a relaxing dinner with me and mine, and the manager, shift lead, womans bf...not really sure. But he became really loud , talking about banning someone from coming there. Next thing you know, the man he was speaking about was outside in the doorway with a confrontation with the man that got loud. The gentleman showed up after someone apparently knew him and told him what was being said. This guy that was loud made put experience , a horror, we didnt know what was breaking out. I have had triple bypass, 2 strokes and 2 heart attacks, and I went into a panic attack. I would not recommend, nor go back to this waffle House , theres a time and place!!

Its waffle house. Theyre awesome everywhere. Delicious. Friendly. Quick. Yum. Had to edit my review, I came back here yesterday and my friend and I sat there for 15 minutes. I finally said excuse me a few times politely and the dude made eye contact and walked away. Then his job brought us by where we were sitting and I said excuse me again. He mumbled "one minute" then walked away. Needless to say we left. My first experience was fine. My second was appalling. So, its a hit or miss I guess. This was literally the only time Ive left a waffle house disappointed.

By far the best local 24hr spot for fast comfort food, expecially after a long nite at the bar or club. Staff works with precision to dish out piping hot consistently good breakfast and dinner food. My favorites are the scrambled eggs with and without chees, the grilled chicken, Texas toast sandwiches and the hash browns all the way smothered covered and caped. The pecan pie is also to die for.
