I would give this place 0 stars if I could. My aunt recommended this bakery because she had used them in the past and was satisfied. My experience this past Saturday was horrible because they don’t seem to have decent enough customer service skills to handle one of their own screw ups. We’ll never patron them again. They were gracious enough to allow me to do a long distance order for a specialty/picture cake via mail (USPS). I ordered a print of the picture I needed on the cake and had it mailed directly to Woodlea. Per the manager, the picture was distorted and too small. Fine. This time I went to Staples and had the photo printed myself so that I could see exactly what was getting shipped to Woodlea. Laurie and I agreed that the last picture was all good. All seemed to be copasetic, that is until I went to pick up the cake… I arrived at Woodlea, stated my order, was presented with the cake and then offered to check out. The girl didn’t even say anything about the picture on the cake being messed up. The picture on the cake was completely and clearly messed up. She just shrugged it off. I asked why there were a bunch of big dark streaks through the photo on the cake. It was just like a really horrible print out. She was like “I don’t know. I can get the owner.” The owner came out and basically stated that she didn’t know what had happened and that there was nothing that they could do. Umm... Do they not bother to look at a cake after a specialty picture has been applied? This wasn’t one small streak, but several long dark streaks across about 30% of the picture. They weren’t very apologetic about any of it. She offered a discount, but who gives a crap about a discount when their product looks like poop?! I was stuck with a really crappy looking cake the night before my event. The whole point of a specialty cake is to get something nicer than average, special. The cake looked a mess. Had they have called me before I arrived and told me their machine was experiencing difficulty and then maybe I could have decided to go with a plain cake with text or something. Never, never, ever again!

Horrible. First time visit to the Bel Air store. The sales lady was actually mean to me. I was asking what the different pastries were because nothing is labeled. I had to point because they were not in a case in the front...they were in cases on the wall. She kept telling me that I would have to do a better job pointing. Huh??? I told her that it was my first time there....she looked at me like she didnt understand. No response like... welcome. Just a very poor sales person. On top of that that items were horrible. Poor excuse if Italian bread. Pastries were stale! Sorry....the local Weiss Market is better.

I am an event coordinator and have been working with Woodlea Bakery for 9 years. I have always been pleased until these recent years. The quality of the staff is poor and unprofessional. Prices are changed without warning and no employess, even management can explain how the change can drastically happen within a 2 week time period. I am extremely disappointed at the staff and for this reason I will never use this bakery again. I will refer all my clientele to Fenwicks Bakery or Cake Love from here on out. Good customer service keeps customers coming back, remember that!!!!

Woodlea Bakery made our wedding cake in September (yellow cake, strawberry filling, butter cream icing. Do yourself a favor and try it!) They were incredibly friendly and provided wonderful service. They designed our cake exactly how we requested. Our cake was delivered and set up promptly and professionally. Not to mention the fact that this is the most delicious cake Ive ever tasted. Outstanding job all around. I highly recommend Woodlea Bakery. (P.S. Also try their peach cake. Its outstanding!)

I love this place! I have ordered donuts, pecan pie and more. My favorite to order is their Strawberry Shortcake. I order at least 4 half of sheet, double layer, strawberry shortcakes a year. Woodlea Bakery is a neighborhood gem and I am happy to support it. The staff is pure Baltimore, you get what you give. I walk in happy, I walk out happy. They are always helpful and answer all my questions.

Terrible and a shame how far the quality has went down. I ordered a dozen of muffins that were just terrible and they had the nerve to charge $34 despite telling me the day before they would be less. I guess I may only have to hope the strawberry shortcake is still good but I dont know if I could trust it again. 10 years disappointed yet again

This little hole in the wall place was great. You can watch them make your donuts fresh and what more could you want than a 24/7 donut place. The crumb donut is their specialty and I can see why.
