Had the Crab Hash (Eggs Benedict over potatoes-- instead of English Muffins-- with crabmeat: Outstanding!! Also had a side of sauteed mushrooms, which was a very generous portion and also delicious! Service very friendly and fast (on a Tuesday morning, even). NOTE: dont confuse this place with the "Eggspectation" chain (Ellicott City, Silver Spring, Leesburg) -- theyre not related... "Eggcellence--A Breakfast Brunchery " only does breakfast and a few lunchtime sandwiches (and closes at 2:30p daily) . Save room for a chocolate blintz! :-) It seems like everything they Do, they do VERY well!

Upon arrival we were immediately seated and given coffee and water. The server was attentive and gave us plenty of time to order. Food was prepared and delivered in what felt like less than 5 minutes. I had the breakfast burrito with a cinnamon roll, and my girlfriend had the Sampler. Both of these were delicious! They even brought out Crystal hot sauce which I havent seen in MD. Even the coffee was good, not too hot and great flavor! Recommend if you are looking for a cute brunch or a simple breakfast near Annapolis.

I went to this establishment this morning and ordered breakfast: waffles, bacon and a muffin. The whole breakfast was delicious! This review, though, is mainly about the muffin, because it is the best muffin Ive ever had. This muffin went beyond a breakfast- this muffin was an experience. It was a muffin of Transcendence. A muffin of Truth. A muffin of Beauty. A muffin of Deliverance. In short, it was a damn good muffin. The rest was great, too, and service was fast and friendly. Totally turned my week around!

First time customer on January 1 -- cannot believe I had never been there before. What a great find. Was extremely impressed with cleanliness, staff, atmosphere, and most of all the food. The Hot Tamale Frittata was out of this world. Met the owner -- nothing better than an owner-operated facility. What a great start to the New Year. Thank you Eggcellence ... yes you are.

As we walked through the door we very friendly good morning and thevening experience only got better from there. We started with a home made mixed berry muffin.....wonderful. My wife had steak and eggs benedict and I had baked eggs florintine both eggcellent. Our server Gemma was terrific and we where in and out, 30 minutes and never felt rushed. Highly recommended

My mom has been coming to Eggcellence since it has opened up. She loves it, specifically she loves the Baked Eggs Florentine. She also says the waffles are to die for. Ive been to the restaurant a couple times and I am always impressed with both the service and the quality of the food. I would recommend this to anyone interested in a good breakfast.

We ate breakfast here this morning. It was horrible. How can you make breakfast bad? I will tell you. Take steamed potato chunks, soggy crab meat and poached eggs stick it in the microwave and call it crab hash (one of their signature dishes). Add toast with margarine. I guess butter is too expensive. Gross.

Wow what a wonderful eatery. We both had the eye opener, a fried egg sandwich with 2 eggs, cheese, choice of meat on a soft kaiser roll. It was so delicious you would swear its homemade. It came with cubed fried potatoes that were not over seasoned & yummy. They also serve brunch. Check it out.... you will enjoy

Easy on/off from Rte 50. Great food, homemade jams, local eggs. Portion sizes spot-on - none of those ginormous platters with overflowing whipped cream that you find at IHOP. Free wifi. Even included perfectly unobtrusive, attentive service from our waiter Josh. We will make this a regular stop to/from the beach.

Ive been here a couple of times and the food has consistently been good. However, the last time I went my party received terrible service from the manager on duty. Dont let his glaringly bright plaid shirt fool you, he is a total dickhole.

Family owned business and service with a smile. Homemade jams and different flavored of muffins each day. Homemade hashes that you know arent from a can. They keep the beverages full. We go often and always come away satisfied.

Really enjoyed. Food was so good. Staff was nice. Service was fast. The only downfall is it is kinda expensive for some eggs, 1piece of toast, potatoes and a piece of meat...almost 9 bucks
