This place used to be good; however, it has gone significantly downhill over the past year. Our experience last night was definitely the last straw for us. After an evening of mini golfing and go-karting, we decided to go to Oriental Jade for dinner as we were all in the mood for Chinese food. We went in at about 8 p.m. on July 4th for the buffet. As soon as we got up to the buffet, we immediately saw that it was almost completely empty and what was there were clearly leftovers that had been sitting there for hours as nothing was very fresh. Our waitress was nowhere to be found. We then overheard who was probably the manager yelling at our waitress for still offering the buffet after 8 p.m. The manager then came out and apologized to us for the mixup and offered us anything from the takeout menu to compensate for their our experience. She explained that they stop stocking the buffet after around 6 pm and told us that we should have been informed of that when we first came in. She then left and never came back. We waited for a good 20 minutes and I finally had to get up and go to the front desk to ask where our waitress was. At this point, we didnt have time to wait to order food from the menu as we had to be somewhere for Fourth of July festivities. Our niece is up visiting form New York and we had many other things to do and other places to be. They went and got our waitress and she finally came with our check. She didnt even ask if we had decided to order anything from the takeout menu. She didnt even mention it. Needless to say, she did not get a tip and the 3 of us left very frustrated and angry and still hungry. I just sent them an email demanding that a refund be sent to us. We will NOT be back.

Every time I go to this place the food gets worse. I have been sick since Tuesday night from eating here and itts Thursday morning now, had to leave work even my stomach is so messed up. My gf didnt get sick but she though her meal was terribly bland too and found a hair in it. This is the last time for me. I ordered sweet and sour pork. I never have ordered that before but was expecting pork in some sort of sweet and sour sauce with green peppers onions pineapple in the sweet and sour sauce. What I got was pork that had been overcooked once, then deep fried in a dough, which I wasnt expecting so it was tough as an old piece of saddle leather that Clint Eastwood road in Pale Rider. The sweet and sour sauce appeared like it had been made elsewhere and did not contain any of the aforemenioned green peppers onions and pineapple however they did place one piece of raw green pepper, one cherry, and one piece of canned pineapple on the side, how thoughtful. The only reason we have used it the few times we have was to give it another chance since it is only 2 minutes from our house. We wont again after this episode.

Stopped in for lunch with my wife a few days ago. We had the Tonkatsu Ramen. It was absolutely delicious. It is by far the best broth in at least a 300 mile radius. We have had it at some well known places throughout the us, Ipudo in NYC and another place off strip in Vegas. I have to say at $6 its well worth it. We also had a Sushi roll and pork belly BAO that was fresh and good. We will be going back for more Ramen and more Sushi. Some people are upset with the removal of the buffet, get over it, this is a well needed change of pace for Bangor. The Jade is now the only place you can get asian foodie type items available in most other major cities. I commend the owners for sticking to their guns through all of the hatred towards the change. Oh and the service was top notch. A lady at the table behind us was extremely rude and lashed out BC a chicken dish wasnt how it "used to be" the manager was kind about it and you could see the rude patron was embarrassed after the fact.

I dined here tonight with 3 of my girlfriends for Sushi Unlimited - it was a fantastic experience! The renovations create a relaxing ambiance and the portions are large and delightful. Everything was fresh + delicious and the price was right! We had the sake on special, and tried a few of the samplers on the Unlimited menu. I love raw sushi, but I also enjoy creative sushi and this menu has something for everyone. Kim-chi was very delicious ( I have a savory palate) and I enjoyed my miso soup, chicken + mushroom bao bun + wow - the tempura butternut squash was AMAZING. My sushi was spicy tuna + mango chicken, and I was just the right amount of full but could have gotten more rolls under the "Sushi Unlimited" rules. I highly recommend the new Jade Experience for anyone looking for fresh Asian cuisine, for all diets, and for anyone looking to have a fabulous dining experience at a great price - what a gem to have here in Bangor!

I loved this place till recently, I was feeling lazy after the previous night of drinks and ordered delivery, at first I was shocked the price rose about 5 bucks since I last ordered and requested a certain driver because she knew where I lived, about 55 mins later someone knocks on my door asking if he got the right place. Thats right... HE, apparently they cant get their drivers together or something. So, I open the bag and ran out shouting at him stating I was missing something. He said it should be in the container and my mouth dropped. Almost 20 bucks for a small box of beef and broccoli and lowmein?! You gotta be kidding me. If I could give zero stars I definitely would and not only that but I think Google should change your cash rating to about 5 dollar signs instead of two and Ill be telling everyone I know about thid.

Been there several times, mostly for the buffet. Food is average at best, many of the sauces seem like they are used in several dishes and the variety is really low. I always hope it will be better next time and it never is. Shame on me. My biggest complaint is price, I made the mistake of going to the dinner buffet which is $15/person and 95% identical to the lunch one. Any argument of "Oh well they put out seafood" can be negated by the fact the seafood trays were either empty or mostly empty (which seems to be a recurring issue - empty trays during buffet hours). Paying $30 for two people for a plate each and a glass of water is absurd. Waiter was friendly though.

If I could rate less than one star I would! Server was fantastic and very polite however the food was very disappointing! Ordered General Tsos chicken specifically asked for it to be extra spicy, it arrived with the least bit of heat to it. We ordered the 911 Fire sushi roll, with a name like that I expect it to burn my face off! The roll never arrived until the rest of our meals was already complete, we still sat there for quite some time and again there was absolutely no heat in the roll! Arrived not as described on the menu! Will not return ever again! Its a shame as this use to be the go to place for Chinese Food in Bangor!!
