Im only giving this place a 2 because the food was good and our waitress was so sweet. Me and my boyfriend went to eat at this restaurant 9/13/14 at 730pm. We waited the 45 minutes and in the mean time had a wonderful glass of wine, which we did not mind at all. After about 30 minutes the owner Mike came up to us and said "there was another couple who was in line before yall that went across the street to have a drink and they are coming back for their table, dont think we skipped you guys if a couple comes and gets sat before you." We didnt really mind although this just sounds so strange to me. 15 minutes later the hostess comes to us sitting outside and seats us at a lovely table. We placed our drink orders and everything and began to look at the menu. Mike came to our table and said "Remember those people I told you about, well the waitress skipped them and sat you here instead, im going to need you guys to take your drinks and get up and wait for the next table." I literally laughed, thinking that he was absolutely joking…. He wasnt. He honestly wanted us to get up, grab our wine and waters the waitress had brought us, and stand up near the bar until someone got up and we were "Next in line." It was humiliating, I cant even put into words. I have never had this kind of treatment. We stood up at the bar flabbergasted at what had just gone on. They sat us 6 minutes later at another table, luckily it was only that short of time because if it would have had a little longer to set in what the hell had just happened we would have left. We should have left. Instead we ordered $130 worth of food. That couple SPLIT an entree and didnt even order drinks since they had them across the street... I still cant believe this happened. DO NOT GO TO DIGIULIO BROTHERS. He didnt bring us a free appetizer, meal, drink or anything. He came to our table to explain his story not even apologizing. He honestly said "They were mad at me i was in a tough spot." Ummm what? You dont make people get up from a seat in your restaurant. If it was only 6 minutes they could have waited. I will never go to this establishment and Im telling everyone I know about this.

I just moved to BR from a major metro city and Id like to say I know my Italian Cuisine pretty well. This place has that unassuming almost hole-on-the-wall look that usually guarantees a great dining experience, but to my surprise that was not the case. I ordered a simple pizza and they some how manage to mess it up, so I chalked it up bad luck. Then they managed to do the same with my wifes pasta. Two simple dishes that the pseudo-Italian Olive Garden always gets right but this "authentic" Italian restaurant got completely wrong. The wait staff werent trained well enough to recognize our dissatisfaction and offer us anything. That coupled with the food has assured this place will not receive anymore business from us.

Love love love! My fiancé and I ate here on one date night after wanting to try some place new and we were not disappointed. The service was fantastic and the food was the best! I had the three cheese stuffed pasta and my fiancé had the eggplant parm. Both were so flavorful and filling. Usually I clean my plate but the size was big enough to have leftovers that were just as good the day after. I look forward to eating here more often! The only complaint I have is the the place itself was a little small and crowded so it could get a tad loud, but it didnt bother us too much.

I had the honor of eating the Digiulio Brothers on Perkins on Easter lunch. It attracts a good crowd, definitely not a Dominos pizza place. Expect to have perfect service, in an adorable little Italian restaurant decorated with little knick knacks that illustrate its Italian culture. We had the four cheese white pizza which is a slender but extremely flavorful pie. I had a salad in order to impress my date with my eating choices, but it was good, and filled me appropriately. I will definitely go back for more pizza and wine. Very romantic.

Whenever Im in Baton Rouge I always make it a point to visit one of my favorite restaurants , Digiulios! A warm friendly atmosphere, especially the bar staff. The food is always second to none, drink and wine selection are first class too. My biggest problem with Digiulios is trying to make up my mind on what to order since everything Ive had there has been great! Ive been going there for at least the last 15 years or more and dont plan on stopping anytime soon. I highly recommend you experience it for yourself!

Food was ok it had no taste I had to add salt and pepper just to get some taste out of it I probably wont ever come here again. The waitress was nice and didnt bother me much, I was going to take a plate to eat for dinner but I changed my mind after I ate the plate was over priced if you ask me it tasted like what I would expect a frozen TV dinner would taste

Great staff and exquisite food. The walnut Gorgonzola salad was a hype, not worth the $2 extra. They served the best fried calamari Ive ever tasted and their thin pizza with cheese was excellent. We had a Turnrow Coriander Ale which was served on a small pony beer glass, very reminiscent of restaurants in Italy.

DiGiulios is fantastic. The warm, cozy and intimate atmosphere makes it the perfect spot for a date night. Not to mention the FOOD. The veal avezzano (or any variation of the chicken, veal or eggplant parmesan for that matter) is the most wonderful dish in my opinion. Reminds me of home!

This place is awesome! Food is great! Best meatball/eggplant sandwich Ive ever had! Atmosphere is great for date night and staff is friendly and attentive! Bar tenders are on the spot! By 7pm this place was packed both week days I went there!

Not a great place to go for the food. The atmosphere is great, the service is great, but the food is average, at best. Pinot noir was also pulled out of the chiller, and served to me cold. Waitress did it with a smile though :)

Great food, very nice waitstaff. Weve eaten here several times. If you dont want to wait for a table and desire less noise from the other patrons, its best to arrive when they open. Its a very popular place!

Osso Bucco here is one if the best things I have ever eaten. Avoid the gelato though. It is not legit. Be on the lookout for Baccio de Roma. The gelato will blow your mind. Latte e Miele has nothing on them.

Excellent!! We are out of town-ers & a local recommended this place; so glad he did! All the food was delicious and the coconut pie is to die for!! The service was great as well. Loved it all.
