Horrible. Ordered a salad. Salad came with hard boiled egg according to the menu. Our salad came with a fried egg cut up and mixed throughout the salad. This wasnt what we wanted. We sent it back. It took at least 20 minutes before anyone came over to the table. The owner brought out a correct salad, but it was well after the rest of the table was done their food. When we complained about how long it took, and how unacceptable it was, the owner (a young guy) got insulted with us. We tried to explain to him that taking the salad off the bill wasnt really enough, someone should have told us upfront that they had no hard boiled eggs, or came to the table and offered up an alternative, instead of assuming we didnt mind waiting almost 1/2 hour for them to hard boil an egg. Plus, the egg wasnt even cooked all the way through. When we tried to explain this to the owner, he blew up at us, and took the salad away, then told us we had ten minutes to leave the restaurant. He then told us we were "in trouble" and picked up the phone. I asked who was he calling, the police? He said he was calling his mother! Then he pulled up a chair and sat next to the table and proceeded to insult us in front of all of the other patrons, cursing us out and screaming to get out of his restaurant. We never experienced anything like this ever. Easily the most rude, meanest person we have ever come across in the restaurant business in our lives. Never going back. Our friend lives walking distance to this restaurant and will never go back.

The worst dining experience ever! We eat out a lot and have never experienced such a bizarre time. Long story short, the Owners son, who came to our table as "manager," totally unprovoked, started flailing his arms and pointing at us and telling us we were stupid! No apologies, just lame excuses--All because we waited over 45 minutes for our food and asked for hot fries-since ours were cold!!! Is that too much to ask when we are a paying customer? We came here often and tolerated the long wait for food-never again-not worth it. We spend a lot of money dining out--hopefully Verbenas will change ownership and a more customer focused place will move in, with great food and great customer service. No one will or should stay in business when they treat their customers so disrespectful.

This was a random Sunday morning find for us. I woke up not feeling up to making breakfast, we googled places nearby and found a gem. The staff were all incredibly friendly, paying great attention to our tendencies as patrons, and preemptively taking care of our needs. The food was excellent, and very filling while also not being to expensive. The venue was a little noisy, but it was a lively and happy atmosphere, so that wasnt too off putting. Also, even walking in at 10 on a Sunday morning for breakfast there was no wait. We will definitely be coming here again.

I have eaten here as part of a large group and as a couple. My experience has been that the food and service is good. I had one visit where the place was packed when we arrived and we expected that we might have to wait but the wait was more like forty-five minutes. Apparently our order had been misplaced but the food arrived soon after our server discovered this and he adjusted our bill appropriately. I will continue to suggest this cafe to others.

EXTREMELY unprofessional staff. Overheard the owners talking poorly about their customers.Ive eaten there several times and have gotten very sick each time, maybe as a result of their lipstick-stained mugs and less than adequately cleaned dishes. If you enjoy being gossiped about and getting food poisoning, Verbena Cafe is the place for you!

Love breakfast here. The Cinnamon French Toast is incredible! My only 2 things I think should be better is the breakfast sausage ( brown and serve) are just not what you expect in such a great unique place. Also the breakfast roll ( heat and serve). Just a bit below average for an upscale eatery.

Just drove in from Michigan in the middle of the night and I happened to stumble in this place for breakfast. Absolutely fantastic, blew my expectations out of the water. Excellent tasting food, stupendous portion size. Justifiable cost

Nice place, good food and friendly, fast service. The food is not amazing but it is tasty and well prepared. You should be aware though that the portions are BIG, especially the salads.

Very disappointed I brought friends from out of state and they were served cold hot Browns. They made them over but by the time they received them the rest of the party was done eating

Sometimes I feel that the food is a bit overpriced for what you get. This is not usually the case and the service has always been wonderful.
