DOWNTOWN SPINELLIS IS HORRIBLE. I WILL ONLY EVER ORDER FROM HIGHLAND SPINELLIS AGAIN. I always order from Highlands and have never had any problem ever. They are kind and fast and funny; just all around down to earth people. Today, 9 people including myself placed a $92.00 order at Downtown to be delivered to a large business. The order was placed at 11:45am with an estimated 45 minute delivery time bringing it to 1230. I had plans with old friends who I havent seen in years. I called at 1245pm and asked how much longer. The manager said "a little bit". I asked if that meant 5 minutes and he said, "no about 15". 1 person only had a 30 minute lunch and had to get back to work. My 2 friends that I hadnt seen in years had to go back at 115pm and they didnt get to eat either. I called again and was immediately placed on hold. I waited about 2 minutes then hung up and called right back. He asked to place me on hold again and I said "no. I need a manager. I placed an order at 1145am and its nearly 130pm. Where is our food? He said, "mam, i am the manager and we are very busy and you will have to hold." I hung up. Eventually we saw someone walking with spinellis pizza boxes. He literally stopped and put everything down for a second to take a break. I walked over to him at this point to stop wasting our time. We have 9 people waiting." Three of 9 people didnt get to eat and had to get back to their jobs. At 130, we finally got our COLD food that had obviously been sitting for a while. We work on 4th street at the Meidinger Tower. We ordered from 5th street. The delivery person complained to me once he arrived stating that his supervisor said it was just around the corner....I guess he felt differently. I want to be contacted back by someone from Baxter because theyre reasonable and obviously care about their business. My suggestion to the Downtown location is: Dont quote a time frame if you cant keep up with your orders. Dont be an hour late and show up with cold food....and dont be rude to someone who has already waited over an hour who also has 8 other people counting on them to have things set up on time who have combined an order paying almost $100...We didnt give a tip for those reasons, otherwise, you wouldve gotten $15.00 extra....and 2 of the 3 pizzas were not cooked all the way....that was definitely a first by this company. Im taking mine home and putting it in the over so my family can eat it.

Terrible food, service, quality, time price, you name it. There is more flavor in frozen pizza from the grocery. I have never had an experience with Spinellis that I enjoyed, and I keep getting exposed to it because others think it is a novelty to be able to order food at 2 am. None ever do it a second time though. It is legit like the food is the brain child of a drunk middle school kid. This is the kind of food you would read the packaging on and instead of CHEESE it would be CHEESE TYPE FOOD PRODUCT. This is pizza for people who have never had pizza before and dont know better. Couple it all with the most rancid and abysmal service and management in the history of the food industry. They could not care less. They will serve you trash. They will not refund you. If you get delivery you had better be waiting outside when they show up or they will continue on their way and say they delivered/called you. This has actually occurred with a couple people I know, not just a one time thing. Do not reach out for customer service, as they will talk down to you and treat you like the filth they serve if you have a complaint. Do yourself a favor and read more reviews. The good ones are from people who work there. Louisville is in the top cities in the country for locally owned, quality dining establishments. There are so many many more better options. Do not do yourself a disservice and think you need or like this place. Explore better options. There are so many

HORRIBLE SERVICE and NASTY looking staff! A friend suggested this place to me and I decided to go. Got inside and the place looks like some Ghetto part of New York City. The workers were ALL dirty looking. I should have left. I ordered 4 small pizza rolls. Guess what? I waited an HOUR and 45 minutes for a $5.00 order!!! When asked about order, the staff wrote down wrong name and my order had been sitting on counter the entire time. The African American manager on duty was nasty acting, and never apologized. Just handed my order and looked the other way. The food was COLD! To make matters worse, the staff handling the food did not have on gloves or hair nets. She had to tell a few of the guys to put on gloves. Even the delivery guys were dirty and nasty in appearance. And lets not talk about how the manager and another female worker had on clothes so tight, you would have thought you were at a strip club. I never saw anyone wipe off tables or anything else. I will NEVER visit this DUMP again. Way too many people were in that small kitchen area around food with no gloves. Just DEPLORABLE, UNPROFESSIONAL, GHETTO and NASTY!

Wow. Where to start?! First, our server was most definitely high on something. It took an hour and 20 minutes to get all of our food, which tasted and looked like crap. Ive uploaded a picture of the burnt pizza with the crappy toppings including a piece of nasty looking lettuce which cost .75 cents. The cheese bread was basically dough cooked with some sprinkled cheese on top, couldnt even taste there was cheese on there. Never brought out silverware. Asked one time after we had been there for just 10 minutes if we would like refills then never again. Asked multiple times how much longer our food would be and girl never had a clue and never gave us a straight answer. We were clealry unhappy and nothing was done to remedy our dissatisfaction. The fact that I even have to leave a 1 star review is ridiculous because this is by far the worst restaurant experience I have ever had. There are lots of issues with this place if you go after 10pm that need to be addressed by management, especially the drugs. She was not the only one who looked and acted high either. Horrible place.

Yo! I know its of the dive variety, but Ill just say this...it wasnt clean (a few unwiped tables upon arrival to a relatively empty dining area) by any means, the tables and booths alike were broken down, unstable, and downright uncomfortable junk. The atmosphere, or theme in this little pizza dungeon I believe COULD be a cool idea... The iridescent, glowing graffiti sprayed all over the walls lost their appeal quickly when the booth almost swallowed me and the tabletop spun around almost freely. The pizza was so-so, thin, and by-the-slice. You had to go to the counter to order your drinks, but the waitress came to the table to take our food order. We waited 30 or 40 minutes for the average pizza that I could have done without...and I was starving. Save your money, drive to the burbs.
