Visited Louisville this past weekend. Ate there Friday night and then again Saturday. Called in Friday for pickup, was told 15 minutes then changed their mind to 25. So I came in about 35 -40 minutes later and still wasnt ready. This was 12:30 am, so it wasnt very busy. Customer in front of me ordered a large but received a small and wasnt very happy when they tried to convince him that it was actually a large! First evidence of shadiness, but I didnt have too big an issue with the incorrect waiting time, and the pizza was good so I ordered again the next night. Pizza did not taste the same and was overcooked. I ordered off the menu on the website, which according to me should have cost $25. I was told $31. When I picked up I questioned the pricing(which was also on the menu IN THE STORE btw), and was told that the website and menu were wrong and that the prices are not correct. But nowhere in the store were the supposedly correct prices posted. We argued and argued and were told too bad...youre not getting them for any less than $31. Finally gave up and paid and then werent given our pizza because i was told 25 again and we were going on 45 minutes now. After a few minutes we asked for the pizza that we paid for and someone went back...came out with the pizzas....tossed them at us and said "HERE!!!!". Horrible customer service which is a complete shame because I have to admit the pizza is pretty decent. Not as good overcooked but still ok. Dont see how you can advertise one price and sell it for a completely different price? Very shady. I hope the extra $5 was worth this bad review. I would not recommend going to this place. By the way, I was charged a completely different amount on Friday night then Saturday night, but neither matched the menu or website.

DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS PLACE!!!! The people are super rude and the food is over priced! Worse experience I have ever had!! I ordered pizza to be delivered at our hotel around 2:30pm and they said it would be a hour. Two hours later they called to say they were in the lobby. When I received the pizza I paid and then the guy noticed he forgot one of the pizzas. He said he would be back in 45mins with it. Another 45mins?!?! I said forget it and I wanted refunded. He refunded for the pizza and left. I get upstairs and notice the breadsticks are all burnt pieces without any sauce. I called to complain and the manager said he would have a new pizza and breadsticks in 15mins. 45 mins later the showed up and the pizza box was completely smashed on one side and the pizza was completely smashed on the top! The guy said to call the restaurant and get a credit. I told him we were from out of town and I didnt want a credit for more food. It was already a disaster and I didnt want anything else. He said to just call. I called and the girl that picked up the phone was so RUDE!!! When I asked for a manager she signed really loudly and said what is this about. I explained and she got the manager. The manager asked me what he could do for me and I said I wanted a partial refund he said that he would only give me a credit for more food. I said no and I was upset and would write a bad review, HE HUNG UP ON ME!! Who does that?!?! I would never suggest this place or order from here!!!!

My 27 yr. old daughter and I were attending a concert at the Mercury a bite to eat close by. She ordered a club style sandwich and I ordered the steak & cheese. The cashier was very nice and personable and we placed our order and sat down. I cut my sandwich in half and opened the bun..how I wish my phone had not died because you would have to see this to believe it. On one half there was maybe a teaspoon of steak, the second half had maybe a tablespoon of meat. I tried to eat it but I couldnt, I was so mad, so I opened the sandwich and took it to the cash register. The man told me that, with the cost of food they were cutting back. I couldnt believe it. I told him that if that was the case then they should have a sign that said so. He also told me that it LOOKED like there was more meat on the sandwich when he brought them to the table. That made me madder because he was insinuating that I was lying. The reason, I found out, that it appeared to be more meat was they took larger slices of mushrooms and put those on the ends of the sandwich, which gave the appearance of more. I told the man that I didnt lie and I swore on my parents that I was telling the truth. After beating his cash register he gave me my money back. I will never ever set foot in that place again.

Ive been to Sicilian a few times, both lunch and dinner. For lunch, because I work very close. For dinner, because I was staying at The Brown. The decor is rather vintage, with historical Louisville prints and memorabilia, good-ole-day sports and celebrity pictures, and a few pieces of neon dotting the landscape. As far a local pizza goes, the pizza is excellent. The menu boasts pizza, subs, calzones, stromboli, and salads, and all very reasonably priced. Their lunch combos are actually pretty economically priced, considering you get an entree, chips, and a drink for around $7.00. If you go during lunch, be prepared for a restaurant that is extremely busy. You meal is ordered at the counter (there is no waiter service). With as busy as it gets during lunch youd think it would be chaotic. Its not. In fact, its an impressively streamlined process, from order taking to food delivery. Yes, its loud and the place can be hectic, but the focus of the employees is, as far as Ive seen, very on-point. All of the food is made fresh and delivered hot. I have yet to be underwhelmed by anything, and Id highly recommend visiting Sicilian for lunch.
