Havent been yet but headed that way for the night.. Reviewing simply to communicate with drivers NOT driving trucks (NO PICKUPS AND RVS DONT COUNT EITHER) Truck drivers have it bad enough with fighting 4wheelers on the highways but to have to share a truck stop with you is over the top. Then you have the nerve to leave disparaging reviews.. WE dont have the luxury of whipping into any store or restaurant we see.. We need at least 11 ft wide and 70 ft long parking spaces. Prices are almost always inflated, guess we can afford it huh.. And then ive got you and your kids on a family road trip IN THE WAY literally... WE only have rest and truck stops available.. If you have such a problem with TRUCK STOP PARKING, give me a break, and the high prices.. GUESS WHAT. STOP SOMEWHERE ELSE.. LEAVE CRAPPY REVIEWS ON ANOTHER LOCALES INFO PAGE.IT DOESNT MAKE YOU FEEL WELCOME AT A TRUCK STOP?? WONDER WHY. ITS NOT FOR YOU.. Dont get me started on RVS.. Parked where a driver who has been driving 11 hrs should be parked getting his 10 mandated rest break.. Rest areas are for you. This place seems so awesome and to have bad reviews SIMPLY because a 4wheeler doesnt "GET IT" is a shame

Food was cold. Told the waitress and the manager went to the buffet, so I walked up to talk to her, she was stirring a pile of muck, and said you have to spoon food from the bottom or it is cold. Wrong. Wouldnt matter, because after she looked, she found the steam table wasnt even turned on. She pointed out dishes that were hot..I said they had been filled with hot food from the kitchen. Unfortunately they dump that in right on top of the old stuff. This was bad. She didnt know how to make it right when she tried. She was berating a worker for adding fresh food to old, and he said he was doing what he was trained to do. The salad dressing had a dark oil separated ring on top, and looked disgusting. They had a cake that was hard and left over Danish from breakfast. We were there at noon..Can only guess how bad it gets later in the day. Dont waste your money, or risk food poisoning. Keep driving!

After traveling back and forth and always looking forward to the big TA in the sky and telling my family and friends thats the Safest place to stop. I had the worst experience on this trip buyng gas. The cashier name Becky. By far this was the rudest and unprofessional person I have conversed with in all my stops, from North Carolina to Spokane Washington. after my encounter with Becky, I observed her interactions with others customers. Within the 15 minutes, it appeared Becky was only rude and short with customers of color. So sad in that landmark store.. My summer father daughter trips, always lood forward to that location...Thanks Becky, you should have a toliet named after you. Just make sure its a dirty crappy one, like you!!!#thankgod4flyingJ&Loves travel centers#

Avoid the restaurant. The truck stop is delightful, a definite wow factor. Something every trucker should see at least once, including the museum. Truly amazing, always parking, outstanding array of products. Now the bad part. Unfortunately, many of the staff, especially in the restaurant, behave as if you are a burden in their day. Watch out for the rude older waitress, she definitely has a bad attitude and isnt shy about it. Definite meal wrecker. Been in here and few times, and thats enough. Everything is extremely overpriced, but it is its own experience. Of course I will be back, but I am definitely skipping the restaurant next time. Think I will check out the place across the street instead. Like I said though, definitely check out the museum.

I called ahead to inquire about 2 parts. I was given prices and told they had both in stock. Just stopped by this morning and couldnt find either part or a staff member to help. I went and asked the pleasant cashier and she told me no one works this early that they start at 8 oclock. ITS A TRUCK STOP! YOUR DOORS ARE OPEN! She then called and directed me where to go. I found one part, $4 more than the quoted price. I returned to the cash and she called and I was told someone would come help me but itd be 5 mins. Apparently my time isnt ad important as theirs. In my opinion this place has gotten too big and caters more to tourist traffic than professional drivers. My time is too valuable for me to risk wasting this much time here again.

Company sent me here for 60 day inspection on my truck. The guys in the shop were serious, respectful, and didnt treat me like a girl. I mean that as the highest compliment. I had pertinent things to point out about my truck, and they listened and fixed it. Showers were clean, employees were helpful. I dont usually go to TA, so always forget that showers can be accessed from the kiosk. Ive been talked to in a condescending way at other TAs for bothering someone, but not here. Top notch establishment. Another sign directing you to the showers upstairs would be helpful...but maybe the point is to get you to walk around and buy things? The chrome shop is unbelievable. Thank goodness Im a company driver. Id be broke if I were an owner op.

My first stop here was in 2011 with my husband, new to truck driving then I was so excited and loved this place. Now I still do, but realize the products are more expensive than other stops around the country. Not a huge issue for convenience and selection. I am not a big fan of the fast food restaurants here but hey, its fine. The Caribou Coffee is a nice change. Its always good to get a quality cup of coffee. And lately Ive been on a moccasin kick. So I picked up a black pair of Minnetonkas today. They have a pretty good selection here. Oh and we had breakfast in the sit down restaurant. Waitress informed us they are not a TA or Petro which explains why the food was better, although kinda cold.

Im giving the 2 stars because we are sitting here in the restaurant of the Iowa 80 (ive been here many times) and my husband had to fetch us menus. Shortly after we were looking the menus over, the waitress came to ask us what we would like to drink. The tables around us are dirty and the other waitress waiting on the other tables completely ignores everyone but her tables. I was finished with my dinner for almost 10 minutes before my husband received his barely cooked chicken fried stake skillet. That he cant even choke down The food was awful and a waste of money. I would expect a lot more the the "Biggest Truck Stop in the World" what a disappointment!!!

As an RVer logging many miles sharing the road with truckers, this is a great stop for anything you could possibly need while traveling. From convenience foods, restaurants, gift shop, chrome and lighting for your ride not to mention barber, dentist, massage, showers, rig washing and mechanic services, and of course fuel, this place has it all. Walking through the parking area the variety of goods being moved by truckers to take care of business in America is huge. Check out the Truckers Museum here too. Give them a break on the roads when they need that slot to move over, they have a big job to do. Very cool truck stop -The Worlds Largest!
