Everyone else in my party liked their food. I on the other hand couldnt eat it. The steak was so overdone that my jaw hurt from chewing after a couple bites. So i ordered fries and they came out half frozen. Ugh. My experience wasnt great but the four others with me enjoyed their food.

Place was a little run down, but otherwise the atmosphere was good and the food was typical of a small town diner. Prices were VERY affordable, and the menu had plenty to choose from. If I am in Newton again I wouldnt hesitate to eat there again. Thomas was a friendly waiter.

Update 8/13/17- second trip I took my wife and family. Bathroom were scary is what my son said. Food was average not as good as the first trip. The child seats were sticky and not very clean. First trip - Good food. I payed more than what the menu showed. Good service.

The food was good home style cooking. The biscuits and gravy was ok but nothing to write home about (use a lot of tapatio). Coffee is ok, service was attentive. Seems to be a local favorite and they have home made pies to go!

Prompt service. We had breakfast and the portions were ample. Place is huge..a local.hangout. Its downtown so if your pulling a camper youll have to park a couple blocks away.

Good food, however ordered the Mac N Cheese for the picky eater and it was gross. Mac N Cheese was mushy, bland, and cold. French Dip, Burgers, and Hot Beef were delicious.

Good experience as always. Their pancake challenge is nothing to mess with. 4 large cakes, 2 eggs and 4 pieces of meat. Way too much for me. But it was very good.
