First visit to the Ole Store last night and was very impressed. The measurement / criteria for a restaurant in Northfield should be different than Minneapolis. But even rating against places in Minneapolis I was still impressed. We were greeted right away, and everyone was genuinely friendly without having that corporate TGIF type of friendly. The crab cakes and the aioli were superb. Both entrees were excellent, which in our case was the meatloaf and the portabella chicken. Their seasoning was spot on. They have excellent beer & wine available. Everything about this place was very, very good which is really saying even more than that since they deliver it in a small town.

Okay. Over priced for the quality. The sun dried aioli sauce on the turkey was delicious! I asked for my sandwich with no bread, it came with bread. You cant just remove the bread, you lose the sauce and the cheese cuz it sticks to it. The turkey was extremely dry, told the manager all she did was give me more sauce (which did help). Hubby said his bison burger was good. Waitress tried to take my plate away several times before I was done eating (I was switching back and forth between a side salad [additional fee] and the meal), she never offered to refill our waters. $28 for lunch with water to drink. Wouldnt go again.

Still decent food but has definitely gone the wrong way. Real hit or miss. You dont know if youre getting the best deal in town or the most overpriced nasty sht. Service can be good? Depends who you get. Most of the staff comes off very entitled. Hostess was kind to us but we heard her be rather snooty to other customers. Not very professional. Great beer selection and decent wine selection. Great alcohol prices. Its worth a shot to stop by just be prepared for disappointment or to be amazed lol

My husband and I had our wedding rehearsal dinner here. It was incredible! The food was fantastic, and the staff was well-organized and accommodating. We called ahead about two weeks in advance, and they asked us to choose five dishes off of their regular menu for our guests to choose from. Since we were a large party, that tactic made everything run smoothly. We kept it simple with flatbreads, steak sandwiches, and burgers. Every meal was prepared well and was absolutely delicious!

We ate at the Ole for brunch a few weeks ago. We had an amazing omlette with feta cheese, olives, onions, etc. The works!! As well as the most delicious French Toast. It was so good and they made it all fresh in front of us. Really great spot and feels comfortable like you could sit and read your paper and no one would judge you. Also had a soup and salad delivered to me at work - piping hot and I crave it on a regular basis now. Very happy to say Ill be eating there over and over!

Great food and atmosphere. I had the ole burger and my wife tried the pecan crusted chicken. Both were excellent. We had the crab cakes too... They were the best we have ever had. The aeoli that came with it was amazing and they were displayed beautifully. Great spot for a date night. I would recommend reservations on a Friday night. We had reserved at 7 and overheard the hostesses tell another couple it wouldIm be an hour wait. Food portions were large.

Ive tried the Ole Store twice now since it re-opened. Great food, nice atmosphere, and good service. Surly Furious beer on tap (yum). Menu has a whole range of items in every price range. I hear since we were there last that new booths have been installed and that they have a new fall menu. First time we were there, the chef made the rounds and chatted with all patrons. Hopefully they will expand their hours soon - right now it is dinner only.

Incredible menu with impeccable service. Dinner menu features items from local to flown in fresh daily. The steaks are the best in Northfield, and the breakfast not only has the traditional selections, but also some interesting choices that do not disappoint. Everything is fresh and just amazing. Best restaurant in Northfield hands down.

By far one of our favorite places to eat in Northfield. Great food, great prices. They change their menu a couple times a year, which sometimes you wish they wouldnt (because you lose your fav item), but it forces you to try new things. Great place. Amazing breakfast in the morning on the weekends also and again great prices.

Poor and slow service. Super noisy building. Staffed by inexperienced people. Out of turkey for sandwich, substituted a dry piece of grilled chicken (jerky). Waitress stated the grilled chicken is always charred. Kids liked their mac n cheese, that was the only plus. Disappointed.

the atmosphere is busy, not really for an intimate gathering. The food is pretty good, but theres something about getting a 15-20 dollar meal and getting frozen vegetables as a side. Thats just lazy. If theyre actually fresh cut, then they do an awful job with it. They taste very bad.

Breakfast is great in the weekend. We eat here just about every weekend and never tire of it. The waffle, French toast, and biscuits and gravy are all great. The ole breakfast is a great staple. For lunch burgers are delicious and their seasonal desserts and lava cake are wonderful.

I ordered steak sandwiches and pork sliders. The sandwiches is sooo great with cheese and mushroom! And the fries are also fantastic. I am really full. So I didnt try pork sliders but I think they are great. In fact, my friend recommended the pork slides.

This restaurant has been here in Northfield forever! It is not in downtown Northfield it is over by St Olaf college! But worth the visit good healthy food! Little bit fancy, old wooden booths linen table cloths serving ribs, salmon, walleye, duck!

Looks nice until you go inside. Could not stay, unbelievably loud, this was in the afternoon and not full or any big parties going on. The building they are in has huge acoustics problems, they really need to find a new location/building...

Can get very loud and hard to hear. If anyone on your party has hearing aids, this is not the place for you. Food is usually good, but have had meals that were overcooked. Overall, it is a nice and clean and staff is friendly.

Always great to stop here when traveling to and from Minnesota. Fresh ingredients, well thought out menu and a SERIOUSLY good walleye sandwich we literally get every time! A hidden gem for sure that fits every occasion.

Monday nights burger and beer $10 special! I definitely recommend it. The fries are to die for! But be prepared to spend extra if you want to garnish your hamburger (comes with lettuce tomato and onion).

Asked for a gluten-free entree, got very sick after eating there. Obviously was served food with gluten. I would advise people with Celiac Disease or gluten intolerance to dine elsewhere.
