I was referred to Jules Bakery from a friend of mine who used Jules Bakery for her wedding... She must have had a different experience than I, because I was NOT impressed after I drove 2hrs for my consultation with her. When I showed up, she was short staffed, and training the two new people that were there. Her attention was not on me, and she had to get up and walk away from me twice during the whole 5 minutes that she gave me of her time. She was rude, and short with me, and didnt care to explain the different types of cake or frosting. She basically just asked me how many people would be there, if I wanted round or square, and explained the pricing and her $60 delivery fee for a 15minute drive... she sent me home with 4 cupcakes, didnt tell me what the flavors were or what types of icing I was trying. But basically handed me the box and had me leave. When I got home, my fiance and I tried the cupcakes and they were stale, the frosting was so hard that it was crusty and literally fell off the cupcake when we bet into it... the cake was dry, and very disappointing. I had high hopes for her, and was really excited to meet her and see what she had to offer... but left feeling belittled and like she didnt want my business... she didnt even go through the book she had on the table with me to show me different ideas, and different flavor options... the plate and forks she had waiting there were never used by me, as she didnt care to spend that amount of time with me. I must have been cutting into her day... in my opinion, if Im going to be spending $500+ with her on our wedding, I deserved a little more time and respect. I wont go back & I wont refer anyone. I wish my experience would have been more like what my friend described, but apparently I wasnt worthy of good customer service. I have since gone to Yummys Gourmet Cakes in Coralville, and loved what they had! It was delicious, the customer service was amazing, and they really showed that they cared about what my vision was for my wedding day... Yummys gets my vote.

Jules did an AMAZING job with their cakes for our recent wedding. The cupcakes literally disappeared in 5 minutes!! The champagne flavored cupcakes were a favorite among our guests. In addition to the delicious cakes, the customer service we received at Jules was second to none. I staff at Jules was friendly, helpful, and very efficient. I would highly recommend Jules to anyone looking for a baker in the Eastern Iowa area.

Ive been going to Jules since they opened. They also did my wedding cake. The cake and frosting still taste amazing but the quality of the design and decorations have greatly decreased. They dont look like bakery quality cakes and cupcakes anymore. Its the quality I would expect from like a Target or Wal-Mart bakery counter. Tastes awesome but looks disappointing.

When picking up my cake, a corner was gone all the way to the cake. They were going to hand it to me like that and we told them to fix the corner. There were little pieces of fuzz on the icing. The white cake was very, very dry and a very thin layer of fill. It was iced, like I would ice it with a icing knife. Did not look professional at all for the price I paid.

Amazing cakes, cupcakes, cookies and other pastries. Our go-to for birthdays and special occasions for the better part of a decade and we have yet to be disappointed. The "slice of heaven" is simply to die for, as is anything with their buttercream frosting.

Jules was fabulous to work with. She was straight forward and honest while still making sure we got exactly what we wanted. The cake was a hit at the wedding! (Disclaimer - my brother had 4 pieces!! Haha) She was professional and she is well price.

Its all great!! But my favorite is the Carrot Cake and that fantastic creamchesse frosting. This has become my birthday cake every year and for those special weekends that I need my Carrot Cake fix!! This place rocks!!

Best cakes in town! They only do buttercream frosting, but it tastes great. They always have assorted baked good for purchase as well. Depending on style and size, a medium sized cake usually runs $35-$45.

Jules does an excellent job of making creative custom birthday cake designs. Wedding cakes are also a specialty. Fresh baked goods for sale in the lobby are always delicious.
