What a shame that not one single Pizza Hut in the Iowa City/Coralville/North Liberty area has committed itself to serving Udis brand gluten free pizza! In so doing they are missing the market of customers who, for reasons of health, cannot dine out safely at most restaurants (most restaurants listing "gluten free" options are not serving truly gluten-free food because of dangerous cross-contamination issues of which they are either oblivious or uncaring). Thankfully, the national Pizza Hut chain has made a commitment to serve Udis gluten free pizza in participating outlets.This is a genuine commitment on the part of participating Pizza Hut outlets to become GIG Certified, a sophisticated training process that assures customers with celiac disease and gluten intolerance can be assured of receiving gluten free food. Alas, only three Pizza Huts in the whole state have stepped up to the plate: Lamoni, Mason City, and Webster City, per the company web site. Other states have dozens of participating stores. One would think a supposedly progressive city like Iowa City would be leading the pack, not bringing up the rear, when it comes to having restaurants (of any kind, not just Pizza Hut) offering this food option. Sad but true.

I lked the bread sticks.I got two pizzas and bread sticks from the Pizza Hut on 1st ave.in Iowa City.When I went to pick it up the first thing that I noticed was the kids they had working were goofing around behind the counter . when I got my pizzas home I noticed that they had messed up my order.I ordered one thin crust and one hand tossed.I got 2 thin crusts that werelike cardboard.I dont think that they put any sauce on either of them . needless to say I wont be ordering from Pizza Hut again.

While I do appreciate it being earlier than expected, the delivery man was nice & friendly, and the pizza was hot. This was by far the worst pizza I ever had. The crust was greasy, soggy, the mozzarella cheese was extremely LOW quality. There was more dehydrated salty parmesan cheese than sauce. Dehydrated ingredients are ALWAYS more potent - cooking 101 kids. Oh and I ordered a bacon cheeseburger pizza with extra beef & cheese & I got beef & onion. Good luck, you suck

BEWARE !!First let me start of by that I would rate this place -5 stars. Anyways I was staying in Iowa City for a couple days and I decide to order from this place. I shouldnt know from the reviews but didnt check it out. Anyways I order several things. The pizza we got it had all expire cheese on it. Like really?? we noticed it after several slices. The bread sticks were okay but not as expected. I would stay Away from this place if I were you.

I used to work here and Ive got to say: having worked at other pizza joints; this is one of the better places. They consistently follow the proper procedures for cleanliness and food prep. Most of the staff works really hard to make customers happy and to keep the delivery and carry out times down. Seriously, I dont work here anymore but I wish I did because my new store is a joke compared to this place.

Its a pizza hut. If youve been to one, youve been to them all. Some of them are distinguished by good service, or better than average pizzas. This ones only really distinguishing detail is the Hayes ice cream store next door. Its also too small to do sit down dining here, theres no tables inside, if youre looking for that, and no buffet. Theyre not bad though. If you like pizza hut, this is a pizza hut!

This Pizza Hut currently has a 4.99 lunch buffet deal that is pretty cheap and the food is pretty good. The staff is friendly. Its not a 5 star italian restaurant, but if you want the bang for your buck, then look no further.

unbelievable I live 10 blocks from the 1st Avenue pizza Hut and the worker on the phone said we cant deliver to my area, so if u live 10 blocks away u will not get a pizza
