One star is generous. I will never go to this Sonic Drive In again. We waited for quite a while to order. Our order on the screen was wrong compared to what we ordered. #1 no mustard, tots, sweet tea #2 ketchup and mayo only, tots, cherry limeade Pretty simple. Received the food promptly. Thats wear a half star comes in. Checked the order, two huge chicken sandwiches. Tots and drinks were correct, earning another half star. Bag had no straws, no napkins, one packages of tots at the bottom smashed to potato slime on top of about 10 packs of ketchup, thats a conservative count. Called to let them know we got someone elses order. Quick apology, no explanation, no offer to fix it. You can do better. For the town size and the number of cars coming through, you have an opportunity to be good, really good. Take some pride and make it worth going to work. Service and products should be a reflection your personal character. You are all probably personally great people, so why not do great!?

Pulled up to Sonic drive thru approximately 1 p.m. on June 4th, 2017. There was a vehicle ahead of me. After waiting approximately 3 minutes that truck pulls away and leaves. I pull up and after 7 more minutes, still had not placed an order. I pulled into stall #8 and ordered from that spot. While waiting, I saw two other vehicles waiting at speaker box and then leave without ordering. Each one approximately 3 minutes. When my order arrived, which was only a cherry limeade, I informed the car hop that the speaker box at drive thru wasnt working. From her answer, it was already a known problem. Management could place a posting to "pull ahead to order". I noticed my cherry limeade didnt taste right. Upon observation, I only had cherry flavored water and ice. No cherry or lime were in the cup. By then I was on I-65 southbound. I rate this experience very poorly on customer service and quality of product. If I experience it again, I will be contacting corporate.

Visited recently on a trip between Indianapolis and Louisville. My own order was all deep fried so it turned out okay but the orders of everyone else in the car were worse. One companion said it was literally the worst Sonic food hed ever had. The meat on his burger was nearly black, having clearly spent too much time waiting on the grill after cooking. The poor girl working outside was hard-working but harried and I got the impression that, aside from someone else working the grill, she was the only one there, taking orders and bringing them out on a Saturday that was quite a bit busier than the staffing could support. One of the stars is for the restaurant, the other star is for her as she was doing her best. Things got rung-up wrong, missed, and they were out of basic items like medium drink cups.

This is seriously the worst restaurant in scottsburg, and thats saying something. Every time Ive went there (always for something different hoping theyll make it right) it is always horrible. I even got food poisoning from the American chili dog or whatever its called. Most recently I went there to get my sick mom a banana split as theres no other ice cream place in Scottsburg and it would have melted by the time I got back from Austin, and the banana was so ripe/hard that she couldnt even use a metal spoon to cut through it, there wasnt hardly any syrups on it and the whole thing was more ice cream than anything, it was the WORST banana split she or I had ever had. Then I got a milkshake that I couldnt even drink till it was completely melted bc it was so thick.

Every time I go I have the worst service Ive ever experienced. I have went and waited 25 minutes driving to different stations because no one would answer when I pushed the button and ended up leaving and coming back about 30 minutes later. I asked my waitress if there was something wrong with the buttons and she said "no why?" I replied with "well I was here 30 minutes ago and waited 25 minutes and still didnt get service." She didnt apologize at all. She rolled her eyes and walked away. WORST SERVICE EVER. I go to sonic often hoping there is a change but there isnt. Yesterday I had great service. For the first time in months. I dont remember the waitress name but she was the best waitress I had had in a very long time.

I love Sonic, and I almost never give a place a bad review, but their service was horrible. I waited in the drive up line for five minutes... when it didnt move, I decided to pull up into one of the stalls. When I pushed the button to order, I ended up waiting about 15 minutes before I finally went up to the window and got one of the employees. Even then, it was another 10 minutes before we ordered. We were only getting four drinks, but it took another 20 minutes waiting on these drinks to come out. Altogether we were there for 45 minutes to get 4 drinks. ... and the guy didnt even apologize for the wait until after we said something to him.

I enjoy Sonic, but this location disappointed. The service was slow, they were out of the specialty buns and did not offer any discount. The sandwiches were ok, but one of the drinks came out with a long hair caught under the lid, and the onion rings were cooked in the same oil as the cinnamon dessert items. I got cinnamon sugar flavored onion rings and they were gross. Onions and cinnamon sugar do NOT mix. Im just glad I didnt order the onion flavored cinnamon sticks too!

Ive been several times and waited 3 mins+ at the drive-thru with no one asking to take an order. Usually 15-20 minute wait on 2 or 3 drinks. Recently, drive-thru was down so I stopped in. Took 50 mins to get me my food. 35 originally, then I was missing an order of mozzarella sticks. The order was brought to me 15 mins later...with honey mustard dipping sauce. Didnt want to even wait to fix it, I was so disgruntled at that point. Done with this place.

I would comment on the food if I had actually gotten any! Parked and pressed the button several times in the span of about 5 minutes, never getting a response, so we decided to go through the drive thru. We sat there for another 5 minutes with no assistance, so we said screw it and went to Chillers, where we got our food within about 3 minutes. What a joke of a place!! This is not the first time Ive had to go through this either!

I never write reviews… But in this case I must, I went to sonic tonight and no one in the kitchen was was wearing gloves whatsoever. I watched the man making the sandwiches dip his bear sweaty little hands and the lettuce tomatoes etc. he came up and asked me not to watch them in the kitchen. Then everyone there was very rude so I left. Nasty! Do yourself a favor and skip this establishment

They ignore their drive thru until you get tired of waiting and drive off. I had to end up calling the stores number to ask them if their drive thru was closed or something. The woman responded in the snottiest way, "ugh, were trying, sir." If youre busy, just let your customer know, dont ignore them completely.
