I give Dhaba Indy a 2/5 stars being generous, and the reason being is the customer service. When I came in, I ordered a bowl of their corn soup. Sitting waiting patiently, I watched as other people came in to order food as well. While I waited I started to notice a pattern of people who ordered after me were receiving their food before I had. I sat and waited patiently thinking that my soup took longer to make then curries and larger orders that everyone else were ordering. I looked up and 40 mins had went by and by the 5th person I wanted to either order something else or forget my order. So I walked to ordering station and the guy recognizes me and says you have been waiting on your soup and I replied yes. He went to go check on it and comes back to tell me that their system crashed when I ordered and the cook was slammed. He asked if I could wait another 15 mins more and I ended up waiting another 30. So in total I ended up waiting for a 15 minute soup more than an hour. What I dont like is, considering that I had patiently waited and did not complain and/or demand my money back for obvious reasons; you would think that they would be kind enough to compensate somehow. No that was not the case. All that was given to me was a sorry our computer was acting up, and there was no sympathy for the patient customers (which I was the only one waiting due to the mistake) when mistakes happen. I honestly wont be visiting here very often if at all anymore because they show you that mistakes being made on their end, they wont compensate to keep you as a customer. So I hope that they read this and the other customer service complaints and really try to fix it. They have pretty good food when I first tried it.

We went here tonight because it was my daughters birthday. She has been here before with her grandfather. She choose this restaurant for her birthday meal. My wife and I have never been here before. Our daughter choose this restaurant because she knew they have great food. Not only do they have great food but, their service is top notch. The staff is friendly and courteous. The restaurant was very clean. We felt the prices we beyond fair. I do not know if this restaurant is authentic Indian food or not. What I do know and learned is that they have great food. Our appetizer and main dishes were fresh and tasty. The nana bread was great. And the service was awesome. We can’t wait to go back to try their lunch buffet. We are now fans and we highly recommend trying this restaurant.

Delicious food, especially the naan! We enjoyed the buffet for lunch. Dishes are labeled on the chalk wall above the buffet. We arent familiar with Indian cuisine, so the labels are not helpful for us yet. But questions are cheerfully answered. I saw another pair of diners who were vegetarian ask about dishes they could eat off the buffet, and the server went over the entire buffet pointing out each dish that would meet their needs and describing it. Naan is brought to your table in a basket (and it is freshly made to order). We enjoyed the garlic and then the buttered flavors (plain also available). We will be eating here again.

The entrees ordered were good, but naan was bad. Naan was small, thin - one person can easily finish one naan in two bites (yes, that small!). We also had ordered aloo paratha, and that was like thin wafer like paratha. Potatoes are really cheap in the market. They cannot provide proper potato stuffing in a paratha? Absurd. Inspite of being in a service oriented business, there was no service. The greeters had no smile on their face. I asked about their coupon on groupon, and they clearly said that since its a coupon, the portions are less deliberately. Will not return for dine-in.

Great Indian food! Dhaba Indy has the best Indian food in the Indianapolis area. Yes, I have tried every Indian restaurant in this area - at least that I could find on the Internet. We tried the buffet and ordered individual dishes whenever there was no buffet. Each dish has its own unique flavor and spices, unlike some Indian restaurants. They opened in December 2015 and now seem to have worked out all of the kinks. The staff is very nice, helpful, and attentive. We saw a sign advertising dosas on Wednesday nights, but we have not yet had a chance to go on a Wednesday.

Good food with best price. This restaurant is specially from south INDIA and if you want to try Biryani, i dont suggest this place and other than that everything is fine. Suggestion, if they server the tiffins/breakfast with Peanut/coconut chutney that will be grate, right now they are serving only coconut. Suggestions: While you are trying to clean the tables, please make sure you of your surrounding tables, you need to keep low your spray bottle or try to spray it on cloth and clean the table, that liquid is hazardous and may cause food allergies or toxic.

My sister lived close to Dhaba Indy and had been raving about it!! I had never been, so we had a Sunday dinner there. I will return, as my experience was quite delightful. I rarely ever eat spicy food, so I went mild with the spice level my first time around. Im glad I did because the spices really pack a punch!! I used to eat cheap Chinese takeout on Saturdays and Sundays, but Dhaba Indy is going to make me step up my takeout game!! My sister and I both got the lamb dishes. I will have to see about their desserts next.

Dhaba Indy catered our wedding and did an absolutely phenomenal job. We were able to choose not only off of the menu from the restaurant, but any dish we wanted they made for us. All of the dishes were absolute perfection. Eating here is always a pleasure, but if youre looking to cater Indian food for any event, Dhaba Indy is a must. The staff was on time to deliver the food and everything was exactly as we had ordered, including excellent quality of taste. Highly recommend!

This is the best lunch buffet I have had for Indian food in Indianapolis. The chilly chicken, tandoori chicken, garlic naan, and sambar are really good standouts for the buffet. The price is good for a buffet and the food seems to be very fresh. I have gotten food from their food truck and this is definitely a step up if you want to enjoy the food in an actual restaurant.

its my 4 time I tried Dhaba Indy and every time my order is messed . I wonder if theyre in such rush to hang up on you or they dont need more orders in there kitchen whatever the reason is I really dont care because Dhaba Indy not the only place in Indianapolis. The only reason I am posting this review because my money went in drain and on top of that my time .
