I have to say, having visited my daughter for like the tenth time in Indiana, I saw this restaurant but never got a chance to try it. Finally one day I drive her caught and finally stopped to get us a meal and I will tell you I did not regret it. Being from Virginia we are picky about are barbeque, especially since my family had a farm in which they raised hogs, this was a main meal most of the time. Trying the food and sides going into hesitation but found that I loved every bit of it and now I have vowed to bring the rest of my family when they all come to visit. Also everyone was so friendly, I was getting a to go meal and had the pleasure of talking with a cook who kept trying to give me free sample taste of everything, but me and this diet had to make me turned down a lot. But ohh when I come back the sampling is on. I want to him, the host, waiters and bartender who all greeted me as I walked through the restaurant, keep up your great personalities. This let me know it must be a great place to work for. The live you put into your do is shows, excellent

The service and atmosphere were good. The beer selection is very good. We had the onion rings as an appetizer and they were very good. Breaded well with a drizzled sauce on top. I ordered the St. Louis style ribs. First, the ribs are either boiled or baked. They are not grilled, they have no flavor, and they were not tender. You really had to chew on them to get the meat off. The restaurant claims they are dry rub and able to "pull of the bone". Their was no rub on them and I actually tried to pull them off the bone and only ended up with meat under my nails. Worst ribs ever. My husband had the chicken. It was moist but bland without any sauce. No smoke flavor. The mac and cheese was dry and not really creamy. The coleslaw was creamy but had no flavor. The baked beans were runny and bland. The creole rice and beans were good. We were excited to try a BBQ place here in Indy as there are not that many. But this was a total waste of money. Will never go back. Wish we would have went to Weber Grill instead.

We took my dad here for his 60th. It was awesome. They easily accommodated our large group. The food was excellent--ribs, brisket, hoppin Joe, onion rings, etc--as were the drinks--the adult milkshake especially! They have a ton of options for Gluten-free eaters too, which makes it even better! Wish the corn bread was GF--that was the only bummer since it is SO easy to make GF cornbread. Service was fast and friendly and place was (including bathrooms) was very clean. Also, the sauce choices are really good. My favorite was the Texas. The only one I thought was a little off was the Carolina, but I prefer NC (east coast) vinegary vs mustardy SC and western NC style like they have at North End. It was still good just not the "NC" flavor I have come to love. The family really enjoyed the classic and Memphis too. We will definitely visit again next time were in Indy

By far the worst ribs I have ever had! I love ribs, theyre one of my favorite foods, so Im not super picky about them, but I do generally believe that you shouldnt have to hack at them with a steak knife with all your strength to get them apart... Like, really, so chewy and tough, I imagine that a tire would be easier get through. When I asked if I could send them back and get something else instead, it was as if I they didnt know what to do. They acted like it was a huge inconvenience, and like no one had ever asked that there before. The server said, "well, I guess Ill have to go tell the chef and ask if thats ok" like I was going to get in trouble. Furthermore, when I posted a comment about the ribs being tough on a video on their Facebook page and it was almost immediately taken down, so now you are getting a 1 star review...

Very disappointed! Stopped in to get a bite on my way home from work. I placed my to-go order of one rib sandwich with the peas and rice as a side item. Service was fast and friendly. Got home, opened all containers.... The meat was very fatty. The flavor was good but too much fat. The bun I was suppose to have, to make my sandwich, was two pieces of stale white bread. The peas and rice was soupy and the peas were under cooked and hard. I was really hoping for the best, since it had high ratings, but I probably will not go back.

The food was the saving grace of this establishment. Service was very poor. It took the waiter ~10 minutes to ask us for drinks and another 10 to get around to taking our order, the hostess was even coming over and asking if we needed anything while we were waiting. 5 minutes after placing our order the waiter said they were out of my choice and Id need to re decide. I asked for a menu. 5 minutes later he returns saying the item was still in stock. Make up your mind! Food beer and drinks tasted good though.

I moved to Indy from Texas about a year and a half ago, and have been searching for decent barbecue ever since. I finally found it at North End. This place is legit. Properly smoked brisket and ribs that are not overcooked, delicious sauces (not that you need them), and a good booze selection will bring me back. If you think that places like City Barbecue or Dicks Bodacious Barbecue give you an authentic barbecue experience, please try North End just once so you can find out what the real thing is like.

Everything about the place is great. The food is served with 4 different types of bbq sauces. There are many sides to choose from and they are all delicious: Hand Cut Fries, Mac & Cheese, Hoppin John, etc. Parking is free and easy but my favorite thing is the atmosphere: classy but laid-back. Service has also always been top-notch. The cocktails are also great, and I have never been disappointed w/ their Seasonal Shake-Up. Try the French 75. The best French 75 I have ever had!

Ive ordered from Door dash and Ive not been happy about my food or the service. I left several messages thru Doordash about late delivery as well as not good food. My food was cold and hard and still Ive not hear anything back. So I thought let me just try it again. Ordered something totally different and still my food was cold and french fries we so over cooked it went in the trash. Sorry but not getting me a 3rd time.

I like the service, the space, and the idea behind the restaurant but the food was a miss. All our dishes were cold but still tasty. Everything was heavy on grease and I know that its all high fat meat but there is a line. Fries drenched in butter? It sounded good but my wife and I couldnt finish them. The cornbread was very dry. We will go back and try again but at these prices there are better bbq joints out there.
