Ive been to the Fishers Rockstones several times and had fantastic service with knowledgeable staff. I am celiac and must eat gluten free so its always a treat when I can find great gluten free pizza. Ive never had a problem at the Fishers location but, last night at the Capital location, it was a nightmare. I havent been there in about 6 months and wasnt sure which items on the pizzas were gluten free so I asked the waitress and her answer was a brusque "I dont know". She offered to get the manager. When he came out, he proceeded to tell me that ALL of the pizza items were gluten free, which I knew to not be true. He said that the crust was gluten free but that they "put flour" on it before they baked it and then told me that the barbecue sauce was gluten free, which I thought that I remembered being told at the Fishers location wasnt GF. After that exchange, I decided that I wouldnt trust them to not at a minimum cross-contaminate me so when the waitress came to take our orders, when she got to me and asked what I wanted, I told her that I would just drink a Coke because I didnt trust what I had been told. Got ANOTHER brusque response from her of "Fine". After thinking about it for awhile, I decided to walk next door to the connected Sahms and see if anyone there might know if there was actually anything that was safe for me. There was a very sweet hostess there that walked back over with me and walked through the menu with me. And, gee, guess what?! I WAS right -- the barbecue sauce was NOT GF because she said that they mix flour in it. I ended up ordering a pizza but, it was awful. The crust was burned and the toppings were tasteless. My advise to this location is to make sure that if you are going to offer GF items, make sure that your staff knows EXACTLY what is GF and what is not. VERY disappointed because I have always had fantastic service and knowledgeable staff at the Fishers location. Will not be going back to the downtown location.

This is the hidden gem of Indianapolis, for sure!! In a prime location, downtown and right near the canal, this pizzeria boasts wood fired pizza, and extended beer and wine selection, and hit tunes from the late 90s to mid 2000s. When we first walked in, there was no one here. The place quickly filled to the gills with people in their 20s and 30s. The people attracted to venue were hip young adults that are selective of where they spend time and money. I was impressed by their ability to serve 3 floyds (gumball head), keep my attention, and serve my pallet in a way that hasnt happened in months. I know this is a lengthy review. I am Just giving credit where do. I WILL be back and you better have gumball head in excess :).

Those who follow my blog know what I think - its hard to find good food and good service these days. It might be a matter of economic history, it might be forces beyond our control - but food sucks ... most places. Rockstone Pizzeria and Pub is a delightful exception to the above rule. They serve a "West Coast" or "NY Style" pizza - flat, not Chicago style. The crust is different, light, golden, very crisp and tasty. The ingredients are fresh, tangy, and their pizza sauce has a distinctive flavour to it. If you want a decent pizza, at a fair price, you could do a lot worse. This place is wonderful.

My favorite pizza place in Indy, hands-down. Love the taste of the wood-fired pizzas, not to mention the fabulous salads and sandwiches. The Rockstone salad is definitely a highlight, and makes some salad-haters I know return there just for it. Add to that pleasant ambience, unfailingly friendly service, and very reasonable prices, and its a great place for lunch or an evening out.

I was just there about a half an hour ago and there computer crashed so they couldnt put in my order and it hadnt been made yet. They took great care of me though and had very good customer service, I believe I was dealing with a gentlemen named Matt, great guy. I ended up getting the Meatzorilla and it was great! I highly recommend.

This place is the bomb! Happy hours on food from 3pm-6pm and 9pm-closing, and daily discounted beers. The pizzas are baked in a wood-fire oven, and are among some of the most delicious pizzas I have eaten in Indianapolis. Not really European-style pizzas, but worth the try! Also, service is just great!

Damn. What you get for what you pay is unbelievable. Delicious items with the best ingredients--why not eat here? The veggie sandwich is to die for, and comes with a fantastic arugula salad. The beers, a wide range of locals, are all quite good, too. Will be back.

Whenever I know someone traveling to Indy, I recommend this restaurant. The pizza I ordered had tons of fresh arugula on top and I believe it had a bit of lemon on top. It was fantastic! The drink I ordered wasnt great, but its still 5/5 in my opinion.

They have super fast pizza made in a wood burning oven. If you want to stay and relax that works. If you are in a hurry you can be in and out in q 15 minutes. Prompt polite service. Ill recommend this pizzeria and return next week.
