I wish I could upgrade my five star review to six stars, because Neidhammer keeps inching closer and closer towards a second home for me. The hospitality, ingenuity, and flexilibity of the staff here are the best Ive seen in the city, and Neidhammer is rapidly shaping itself into a cornerstone of the Near Eastside. Working here one afternoon, I asked for a very specific drink, one that the staff had never made before. They experimented with joy trying to make it, and the result was delicious. Later that day, I was spotted finishing a coffee, and the manager brought me a warm apple crumble muffin on the house. Small gestures like these carry with them the welcoming warmth I seek from a neighborhood coffee shop -- not just a place to get caffeinated, but a place to be with others who give a damn about each other. I genuinely look forward to days where I can spend a morning or afternoon at Neidhammer, supporting this amazing business.

The owners were there and were extremely friendly! I told them I had missed the Yelp event the day prior, and they kindly gave me a tour around the place. I love the vibe of the place; the place is hip and well decorated. Its very cozy, and, the best part for me as a college student, theres an outlet at every table! Haha! No more searching for outlets or the awkward "excuse me?" As for food, they get their baked goods from a local place -- I cant remember where. All I can say is they looked scrumptious, but I sadly didnt grab a bite. I did get coffee -- just something simple: an iced Americano. It was smooth to the finish! I would love to go there again whenever I have more time in my mornings.

Waited over 15 minutes for a latte and carmel macchiato. When we finally got them they were lukewarm and the carmel was in the latte, not the macchiato A lady behind us had to go up and ask them if they could heat hers up after she got it as well. The staff was super friendly, and dont get me wrong I think they were trying, but no one really seemed to know what they were doing. The older gentleman taking orders didnt know how to work the machinery or assist the clearly overwhelmed girl making most of the drinks. I will give Neidhammer another shot but it will be a while.

My Husband and I love this family run, locally own coffee shop. Its beautiful interior and gourmet drinks make the experience magical. Check them out for events, a good time with great company, or a relaxing place to get work done. We love it so much that we got married upstairs in the Neidhammer building!

Ive only been once. But the atmosphere was awesome. The old building, the antique feel and the open space are really a breath of fresh air. Not to mention their pour over coffee as probably the best tasting pour over Ive had in quite some time. Its a must if youre in Indy and on the near east side.

This is my favorite haunt! The staff is exceedingly friendly, and the prices are very reasonable. Every table has a power outlet under it, which makes working while sipping a delicious coffee a breeze. I love everything, but I recommend the americano with steamed almond milk, or any of the smoothies.

Very friendly staff, rustic decor, and a great place to read or do your work. They have pour over coffee, as well as the regular latte and Cappuccino. Every table has its own charging port which is great. Overall, a nice atmosphere with good coffee.

Between the Neidhammers extremely delicious coffee, wonderfully friendly staff, and awesome space, I cant decide which Im a bigger fan of. Plus, with Ash and Elm Cidery in the same room, I cant recommend a visit enough!
