My wife and I eat at El Meson at least once a week. Weve tried a LOT of Mexican Food establishments around (both locally and in other states) and we can honestly say this is the BEST Mexican Food weve ever had! And you know what the best part of it is? Theyre CONSISTENTLY good! Weve *never* had a bad meal at this place. All of the servers are always polite, friendly, and know us! The prices are VERY reasonable as well. I would highly recommend El Meson to you if you want EXCEPTIONAL Mexican Food!

I always enjoy the food I get here and the prices arent high, unlike some similar restaurants in the area. Food comes out very quickly and is hot. Staff is friendly and most are diligent about making sure everything is okay with the food, drink refills etc. Like most Mexican restaurants, the decor is very bright and festive! I think most people will find something they will like, even if they arent fans of Mexican food.

I dont know what the other reviewers are smoking but I just finished a take out plate and probably the worst Mexican I have ever had! The salsa Im sure had ketchup in it, my taco was completely soggy to the put I couldnt pick it up. The rice was good, but overall will not be going there again. Seriously very disgusting!

Food is hit and miss. Select servers at this location are such rude, low class, unintelligent, fake diamond earring wearing mongoloid gorillas that I will not be returning to dine here. Apologies to any and all gorillas who may and should be offended by the use and comparison of their species to these idiots.

Perfect everything, fast to get us our food, it was amazing! Only gave a 4 because the salsa is in definite need of some help. Salsa was 1 step up from tomato sauce lol oh and the horchata was faaaaantastic! Not chalky and not too cinnimon-ey. Best Mexican Ive had in quite awhile.

This has been our favorite Mexican place on the southside. However, in the last month they have gone downhill fast! Something isnt right in the kitchen. Food had been SLOW the last two times weve gone and was over cooked and dry when it came. Hope they get it straightened out.

Great staff who are friendly and fast everytime I eat here. Food is more authentic than any other restaurant Ive been to around Greenwood serving Mexican cuisine (and Ive tried a lot). Pricing is low and portions are big. Gavent had any bad experiences in past years here at all.

Service was bad. We ordered, finished chips and salsa, finished our drinks, was never checked on again. After waiting an additional 15 minutes we got up and left. No one even came to stop us. We will not go back. Too many better choices.

We were kind of disappointed. The food was ok but the servers were inattentive. They forgot to bring my friend her drink and never came by to check on us or offer refills. They also forgot to bring us the to go box we asked for.

Great food at a good price! i agree with prior post that the quality had slipped some. Have been there 3 times in the past month and they appear to have fixed whatever the problem was. I highly recommend this place.

We stopped at the Shelbyville location. The enchiladas were flavorless and greasy. The rice was blan.....no taste. This was the worst Mexican food I have ever eaten. The staff was not helpful.
