We visited Charlie’s on June 5 during a road trip through Indiana, based on reviews we found online. Plus, I contacted them prior to our trip and the owner sent me a coupon to use! I will be honest; as we drove up I was a little skeptical. The building looked a little more tired than I was expecting – maybe I thought it was a newer place. But, the parking lot was full and that’s always a good sign. I’m so glad we stopped. The menu is mainly burgers, with a handful of other sandwich/hot dog-type options. We were a little surprised to see a five-patty burger offered, but the young lady explained that they are thinner, along the lines of a Steak-N-Shake patty, if you are more familiar with that chain. My daughter and I ordered single burgers, and the boys all had doubles. Everyone’s was suitable, except my husband felt he would have liked one more patty. The food was delivered quickly, and all of our various topping orders came out correct. We also had fries (very good), and pickle fries (fried pickles, but cut like French fries) – which were EXCELLENT. Try them with the bistro sauce. They also had an ice cream counter and from what I hear have some amazing shakes. Prices were exceptionally reasonable for the burgers. We were able to eat for under $30 (five of us). Even without the coupon it would have been under $40, which for us is great. We will definitely visit again if we are in the area.

Service was good. Got food fast. The food was very good..pickles are awsome..I had the tenderloin basket with onion rings. All was great. My husband loved the food and service which is quite amazing..will be back to eat again soon. The girl that took our order at the counter was awsome. She helped get our order as this was our first time eating there. She remanded food to all 4 of our family without making a fuss. Made a great experience even better. Sorry I did not catch her name but she deserves a gold star..

I am a fan of Beefcake Burgers! The prices are reasonable, the place is always clean, and the service is outstanding! I recommend the tenderloin or the breaded chicken sandwich if youre not in the mood for a hamburger. Their milkshakes are the best around! You will not be disappointed if you go here with family or friends. The pickle fries with Bistro sauce or something that cannot be missed! They go great with anything which. I also recommend the sweet potato fries if you want a change-of-pace side.

Got to say I was in town going to try out either Charlies which Id seen just one week earlier or Marvins which Ive always heard good things about. The beefcake burgers were tremendous! Im going to have a heck of a time passing this place up to go to Marvins though its a good restaurant also I really loved and enjoyed the food here at Charlies cant wait to go back! Glad to have great service and great food at a good fair price. Keep up the great work guys!

Have always received good service and tasty burgers here. I know they support the Greencastle community thru youth softball team sponsorships (and maybe many other ways I dont know about). So beyond having the best burger in Greencastle in my opinion, I support them for this reason also. Food has also always been served fresh in my experience. Never received anything that had been sitting under a heat lamp for a long time. Enjoy a Beefcake!

The 2nd time I went here I attempted the 10 Stack Burger Challenge and I dominated it. I had it made with 5 slices of Swiss cheese and it was delicious. I finished it with 10 minutes remaining of the 30 minute time limit. I received a pretty sweet T-Shirt and they took my picture to add to there slideshow of winners they display on a monitor in the dining area. I definitely recommend trying this place if you are in town.

My husband & son ate there yesterday on their way to St Louis. My husband wont quit talking about it. Wants to take me on a road trip just so I can see how mouthwatering good the burger is. Son agreed with him. After first bite, they both said WOW in unison. They had double and fries. Cheese dripping off the amazing bun and great fries. Loved the atmosphere, service and price. Cant wait to get my turn.

New in town and decided to try this new place out. Never done a review but after trying this place I must! Food was insanely greasy. Got a burger and it looked good but there was not much taste past all the grease. Meal was expansive and I only received a handful of fries if that. Im. It kidding there was little to no fries on my plate. This place is no good.

I really wanted to like this place. My understanding is they hire disabled people and Im all for supporting that. Im hoping my experience was an off day... Staff were friendly and restaurant clean but the food was just okay. Onion rings were odd tasting and burger was pretty greasy. I plan to come back and try it again another day.

The place is incredible it is very similar to Steak N Shake but were the exceed is there burgers and fries...unlike Steak N Shake their fries especially their loaded fries are awesome. If there was one place they need work its their shakes but with the exception of their shakes they are superior to Steak N Shake

Fantastic burgers at a cost that wont break the bank! Competing with many other "fast food" restaurants, yet premium quality! You will NOT be disappointed! The owner also directly interacts with customers in person or via all social media outlets! Get on FlockTag and get your discounts!

I love the way the burgers are made withReal beef. The price is a little high but it is really worth it. You will be pulled back with the price but i recommend the 5 pattie burger with the onion rings. After eating that have a scoop of ice cream. All and all very good.

Freakin delicious. Described as "Steak and Shake" styled patties, yet the farthest thing from them. Didnt even know they served ice cream and forced myself to get the Oreo cone. More chunks than any blizzard Ive ever had. 5 stars.

Update - Charlies now serves Beefcake Burgers - what a major upgrade! New management has really turned this place around - I enjoy eating here now. Good food, clean and good staff - highly recommended.

Nice burgers that you can order your own topping on it. However, as a foreigner, I feel not comfortable to order without a suggestion when someone is behind you waiting. Their service is really so-so.
