Google map marker is off - this is in the old McDonalds a block up the street to the west. The food here is spectacular! Not truly authentic but very much more authentic than any of the other "modern" Mexican restaurants in this area. Entrees are of higher quality than the others; salsas, sauces, and cheeses are all well above the others too. Margaritas are the best Ive had in this area as well. Nice place, clean, well decorated. Very friendly and efficient servers who all offer excellent recommendations. I have eaten Mexican food at places like this all the way from Alton to Belleville and this one is by far the best and my clear favorite. Comes close to the Tiendas in Fairmont City in a more convenient and comfortable neighborhood.

Ive loved everything I eat here. You cannot go wrong. Particular favorites are the tacos and carnitas and chorri pollo. Ask what the margarita special is. Service is always amazing. Id eat here every night if I could afford to smell like tequila every morning.

They allow vaping inside and smoking right outside the open door. The whole dining room stinks. And they dont care about this. Not my kind of place. Wont be going here or recommending this place any more.

The food is always ready and hot. Ive been there multiple times and ordered different meals each time, and I havent had a meal that I didnt enjoy. Just the right amount of food and reasonably priced.

Meat was too salty, beans had no flavor, and everything was doused in a weird cheese sauce that looked and tasted like white Velveeta. It kind of looks like Mexican food, but it is not.

Excellent food , spicy garlicky salsa, quick service , and how many other taquerias has a drive thru? Often seems dead, but some nights (like live music night) the place is packed.
