I went through Orland Park Bakery for my wedding cake. We were very excited about our cake originally and I raved about it to everyone after the tasting. However, we ended up having a very negative experience with Orland. When I arrive at my reception hall at 6:30 for cocktail hour I expected my cake to be set up and ready since the scheduled delivery time was 5:30. Our wedding planner told us that they delivered our sheet cake but "forgot" our decorative cake and had to run back to the bakery. Our decorative cake did not arrive until 7, which is after some guests had already arrived. After dinner I walked around to different tables and saw some of the table did not have the wedding cake I had ordered. We ordered a mixed choc and vanilla cake, some of our guests had a vanilla and possibly strawberry filling. my best friend and bridesmaid has a strawberry allergy and was unable to eat it. When I called and told the bakery about the issue after the wedding I had to fight to get them to issue me any type of refund because I did not think to take a picture of the wrong cake to have proof of their error. On 11/21/15 they told me they would refund me $75 in 3-5 business days. 7 business days later I called them and they claimed they "forgot" to issue the refund and the manager would call me the next day to do so. The next day happened and i never received a phone call. I had to call them and again they claimed they forgot because it has been "so busy". Finally 3 weeks after the original phone call the $75 refund has been received. Horrible customer service. If I had the choice again I would not trust them to handle my wedding cake. I am the first of all of my friends to get married and I will not be recommending them to any of them.

I tried 5 times to order a specialty baby shower cake. Apparently, they didnt want my business. I stopped in one day after work 2 weeks ago. I was told that the manager wasnt there to give a quote/ take the order. I was told to email a picture and they would give me a quote. I emailed twice. No response. I called on a Thursday night to make an appointment to speak with a manager to order this cake. I was told I didnt need an appointment and to come in on Saturday morning to order the cake. Well, I arrive on Saturday morning at 9 AM. I wait about 15minutes to be called on. I am then told that the manager is not there. I then ask for the owner. The owner ( older women) finally comes out from the back with her hands full of coin rolls for the register. I try to explain what I need however, she just stands there with this lost look on her face. She then proceeds to set the money down and her comment is " I need to fill 5 registers instead of one like the old store" There was no way I was waiting for her to fill 5 registers with money. At this point I was so disgusted I walked out. I then proceeded to drive down LaGrange to a popular Mokena bakery where I was helped within 5 minutes by the owner. Please stay away from this place. Later in the day I went to the venue where the shower is being held to go over the menu for the shower. I then explained my morning at Orland Bakery. The venue manager then informed me how they have trouble with Orland Bakery consistently delivering wedding cakes late. I am not sure how this place is so famous in the Orland area. I will not be back!!!

Very disappointing cake ordering experience :( I wanted a very simple cake for my Bosss retirement party so I requested a solid white cake with Black words, yellow balloons and our company logo (which is yellow and black) in the center of the cake. Easy, right? The majority of the cake was yellow...they used yellow trim icing on the sides and then spray painted it yellow also. They forgot to put my Bosss name on the cake and the Logo "printed" Orange and black as an edible image and was placed in the opposite direction of the picture I sent. There was no communication with me about the color of the logo or the changes the decorators "decided" to make on their own except when I picked up the cake (3 hours before the party) I was told, if the decorators think its too plain, they "fix it up a bit". I wanted a PLAIN and simple cake. I was refunded $10.99 for the Edible image since it was the wrong color. The flavor and texture was spot on, I cant argue that but I will definitely not be ordering another decorated cake from Orland Bakery.

We were fortunate to hire Orland Park Bakery as our wedding cake vendor. At our consultation, my now husband and I were impressed with our consultants professionalism, patience, and recommendations as we worked to create our dream wedding cake in our budget. During our complementary cake testing, we loved how amazing the white/chocolate cake and buttercream icing (which are some of their most inexpensive options) tasted. Since we had a large wedding, we opted to do a 3 tier cake with sheet cakes as a supplement that were cut and served from the back which ended us saving us 30-40%. We really appreciated that Orland Park Bakery was not pushy or turned off by our cost conscious questions and choices. On the day of the wedding, our wedding cake looked absolutely beautiful and our guests commented about how impressed they were by how moist and tasty the cake was! Thank you, Orland Park Bakery, for providing a fantastic experience from start to finish!

Horrible!! My fiancee and I scheduled and appointment for a tasting yesterday (Aug 25th) at 3pm. Mind you we are leaving a family gathering to go. We walked in early and were greeted at the door. We were told the girl that was to be helping us was on break but they got us started with the tasting. 5,10,15 20 minutes later still no one! Absolutely NO ONE ever came over. We finally had had enough and left. We have still gotten no call or follow up or anything wondering why we walked out! 1st impressions are everything and if you cant even make time for us when we have an appointment Im concerned that our cake wont show up. Apparently they are so busy that our 250 serving cake isnt big enough for them. I would give negative points if I could for horrible service but the cakes tasted decent. Perception is everything in business and my perception of them is awful.

My husband and I debated between two bakeries for our wedding cake. Since we were trying to keep our wedding and reception small and less costly we opted for Orland Park Bakery. We had read previous reviews stating that their cakes had been delivered late so we made sure we voiced our concern from the get go. I was ecstatic by how beautifully decorated the cake was. It was exactly as I had pictured it. All our family and friends kept saying how delicious it tasted. And they dropped the cake off early which showed me they had taken my concern to heart. I would highly recommend Orland Park Bakery.
