I normally dont go to TK, and Im reminded why. The food (bbq boneless wings, fries) was pretty good, but horrendously overpriced. I had the wings, fries, and two beers and paid 24 bucks on a Thursday night. Our waitress was one for the ages. I ordered my food and a Guinness, and a few minutes later she came back to ask me what I ordered. I got my food and beer pretty quickly and things were okay. I then ordered another beer only to have her come back again a few mins later to ask what beer I ordered. The second and last beer, well this was just ridiculous. She came out with the beer and then brought it to another table...and then another...finally i flagged her down and she said "you guys are making me go crazy" which I can only assume meant she couldnt keep track. Normally, if Im forgetful, I write stuff down. Its not rocket science. Finally, when we were trying to pay, she asked everyone what they got. How do you not keep track of what people are ordering? I realize people go for the hot girls in tiny clothes, but wow the service is bad. I noticed the copy & paste responses from the "owner" on other reviews and cant wait to hear the same thing about re-staffing and making changes since 3 days ago.

Showed up on a Sunday, around 3 pm for a late lunch. Place was empty except for 2 other tables. One waitress working, which was fine, but she went on break after like 10 minutes. Here was my problem, I ordered a soft drink which was flat. And I ordered a burger and fries. My food came out in like 3 minutes, which should have made me suspicious. But I was starving and just ate it. In retrospect, the burger was burnt on the outside and bland on the inside. The fries were cooked unevenly, some were crispy, others were limp. Kinda like the food had been reheated instead of made fresh. After I left, within 15 minutes I got really sick, and spent the rest of the afternoon in the bathroom. There are lots of other restaurant choices in the area, do not come here.

It was my birthday today. Not to the bad, but just quick choice, I went to a close-by competitor to celebrate my birthday. I was served a beer I ordered but then TOTALLY ignored by the barmaid there. I had a coupon for free food there and would have probably ordered another beer...in the immediate, I decided to pay for my beer and leave. Coming to TK Oakbrook, I was greeted warmly by Alexis at the bar, had an awesome, friendly conversation and received great service and redeemed my birthday lunch which I really enjoyed tremendously. That (other) place was strictly..... for the..birds....TK won out for sure today!!! Thanks for making my birthday fun!!!!

This place is franchised owned, to which I can honestly say has kept the TK spirit alive and well. We were greeted kindly at the door, and our servers was fantastic! Our server checked up on us and made sure our drinks were never low (always a great plus in my books.) not to mention she was gorgeous! Haha. After we had finished dining, we got up to play some darts. I wish I had gotten a name but maybe the manager or owner? She saw we were playing with one dart and offered us a whole set of darts, she was so helpful nice too! Overall it was a great experience and would definitely return for more!

ONE server for the whole establishment. The wait time was ridiculously long as a result. However the server did her best, given the circumstances. The poor girl had to make her own drinks while running food to and from the kitchen because the bartender was too busy talking to someone she knew instead of working. Food was hot and well cooked. After 20 minutes wait (and ordering it twice) the beer arrived. It tasted horribly! Took so long to get silverware that we got halfway through the meal before a manager gave us some. I dont know if its always like this, but it was pretty bad tonight.

Its been 5 years since i last ate at a tilted kilt after a bad experience. I was in town for a firefighter conference and stopped by for a quick bite to eat since it was close. Nicki was the bartender, right away she was very welcoming, funny, and courteous. My drink never made it past half glass before she offered another, and food was great. I watched her work the entire time, she was top notch interacting with every customer even when it got busy and never stopped running around, you have a great employee, definitely got a customer back. Thanks Nicki

I visited partly because of the terrible reviews this place has received. It seemed too bogus to be true. Please read them. People have unfairly and irresponsibly painted this place bad. Tilted kilt has a decent beer selection, the server and busser were friendly and attentive, the food was good... Ok, the fries could have been crisper, the burger could have been more evenly seasoned, but... seriously? Its a sports bar. The timing was fine. The restaurant was clean. Im not gonna get sick. The experience here was more or less exactly as expected.

The service was absolutely terrible!! It took almost 2 hours to place our order and receive our food. Even after everyone else in my party get their meal, my 5 year olds kids meal had not come out. After waiting another 15 minutes, I sought out the manager when advised that the cook had forgotten to make the kids burger. In addition, i was told that they ran out of food and the manager had to go to store and buy more burgers and chicken wings. Ironically, we arrived 15 minutes after the place opened for the day.

Visited this location on the 7th of May 2012. The food was worse than a lot of other places with similar menus. Both friends that I took were also very unhappy with taste of the food and we all ordered different items. Also service was terrible. Forgot silverware no offer for a water, and never asked if we wanted another beer. You can bet many of these servers bank on looks to cover up the rest.

Houstonduckman is right! Unmotivated tatted up waitresses with poor customer service. They took forever to bring our drinks, take our entree order and to pickup our check! The Chicken fried chicken was OK but the overall service was unacceptable. Youre better off ordering a Pie from home run inn, lou malnatis or giordanos!!! This was last Friday Mar 21.

LOL, best way to describe this place. Sunday afternoo. And they were out of all white wines, had no streak, and I had to literally ask the server for plates and silverware. Then the manager was like.... yeah we are under new owners so we dont have several things ordered and stocked yet..... Seriously. Please stay away if you want ti actually eat.

Horrible service. Went there with a friend the past week. Waiting 10 minutes to be seated even though the place was 80% empty. After we where finally seated didnt have anyone come bring water or ask if we needed a drink. Gave them 15 minutes nothing so I left. Waitresses look like they were occupied with their friends.

Good food (try the hot pretzel bread for an appetizer), and friendly service. The girls are NOT hard to look at in their cute (yet skimpy) kilt costumes, which means it takes an effort to maintain eye contact while ordering. Overall, decent place to grab some quick food, and it feels classier than Hooters.
