Food was fine, but service was horrible! Was overcharged on my bill, and people at the registered were annoyed that they had to fix it. Ordered a mushroom omelette, they decided to charge me for a veggie omelette, two dollars more than what a mushroom omelette would cost. Daughter ordered biscuits and gravy, they charged me biscuits and gravy with eggs, another two dollars. I went to the front and asked the girls at the register if the prices on the menu were correct, thinking maybe I was looking at old prices. The tall Asian lady says, I dont know, we just had our menus printed yesterday, I have to go ask. Seriously? What type of restaurant prints new menus with old prices? She came back and said yes they are correct. I dont even work there and I could have answered that. So she was already annoyed. Then she had the go back a couple more times to adjust the prices for each of those items that were incorrect. Then she tells me oh your waitress decided to charge for these items instead of what you exactly ordered, but its ok I will adjust for you. Well, yes you better adjust it since thats not what I ordered. She made it sound like it was my fault and she never once apologized. (Waitress did apologize though.) She looked super annoyed and absolutely impatient! I hope next time that lady goes to the store they charge her a dollar more for every item she buys and then gives her dirty looks when she tells them its wrong. Check your bill when you go to this restaurant unless you dont care about a few dollars. But every dollar count in my book and no one ever rips me off! I go to the Darien restaurant all the time and never had this problem.

I really liked this place until recently they changed the coffee. From a breakfast place, the coffee decision is key! BH Oak Brook went from having really exceptionally good coffee (e.g. worth going to for it), to really bad coffee (same coffee, but now brewed very very weakly). I work nearby so this was a good place for breakfast meetings. Alas, I wont be going there anymore. And for avoidance of doubt, I gave BH the benefit of the doubt and went back after my initial poor coffee experience 3-4 additional times and it remained very weak (brown tinted water strength). Once it was even cold and weak (coffee blasphemy!). This could be an example of trying to cut costs, but unfortunately it may cost them more in the long run. I already have consciously decided not to go there on 3 occasions with business associates.

Pros: environment & decor, nice new and clean, big menu, portion sizes Cons: the coffee, smaller meals/items are overpriced, none of the food really stands out, not surprising with a menu this big. This is my 2nd time eating at this restaurant, 1st time was at the eola rd. location. Both times I was unimpressed and continue to be confused why this place seems to be so popular. The first time they got our order wrong, the second time there were no knives to butter the toast. The Oakbrook location was big bright and airy, not to mention noisy despite the lack of customers. None of this is what I look for in a great breakfast place.

Very clean and spacious. I can easily see us doing an event brunch here. Huge menu. Had the country fried steak. Never again, unless youre starving! Its huge! Our oldest had green eggs and ham. She loved it. Im sure it was fun to eat. Our baby threw her French toast on the floor. As kids do, but my husband also ordered it and said it was delicious. Our friendly waitress, Amy, was so great. We had some fun conversations with her. Her and the food is what s going to keep us coming.

Now you would think with this name, it would be a great find and have interesting food. Not a chance. Was like a Dennys. Was so hot in there I had to ask the waitress to ask management to turn on the A/C, which kindly they did. Though once I browsed their menu, I paid for my soda and left as we decided to go down the street to eat elsewhere. Seriously, when there are so many options, why waste time on the same kinds of foods you can prepare at home?

We were seated before the table was completely bussed, the water bottles and some change on a napkin was left behind. We nicely asked two bussers and a waitress before we insisted the table be cleaned. When our food came my eggs were cooked over hard instead of over easy and my "toast" was untoasted bread. I had to ask three times for more coffee. I can understand all of this if it was busy, but it was pretty slow. I will not be going back.

Brought my wife for her birthday brrakfast. Terrible idea. The eggs where over cooked. I asked for meadium rare New York Steak Strip, instead I got well done. (sent that back). The water tasted like soap. SOAP! The waitress brought my plate and through like she was in a hurry ( guess she was because she brought us the check so early). She handed us the pancakes to our hands. No coffee refill. No butter on table. Old make syrup.

I was there few times. Food is really good, but the service is horrible, they will sit a party of two at the table that is too small even for one person. Some waitresses are not friendly, and the most disappointed was when I asked for a spoon and was told they dont have any at the moment. Besides, no pagers. So, youd better be aware and listen what they are screaming or you can loose your turn. Bad managed place!

We went on a Sunday morning and there was a little bit of a wait. The egg dishes we ordered were tasty, and the hash browns were great. However, the pancakes were less than desirable. They were quite flat and bland. My daughter ordered the Smores with Oreo pancakes. They were just silver dollar pancakes with crumbled oreo cookies on top... nothing Smores related on them. Very disappointing.

The service is phenomenal. A waitress Tammy helped me. Very attentive staff. The food, is just ok. I tried a basic 2 egg breakfast, sausage and French toast. It was not terrible just average. Easily made at home. The sausage was over heated and tasted freezer burned. The potatoes lack flavor just cut and cooked. Id rather spend $7 more and eat at Labriola in the same parking lot.

I went here today for the first time. What I saw today was very upsetting. one of the waitresses slid on something on the floor and fell completely down on her side while carrying a loaded tray of food. I nearly went to assist her because none of the managers were assisting her. Afterwards, one of the managers was berating her for falling like it was her fault.

Im so so upset with this place. I have a pretty bad reaction to gluten. I asked the waitress multiple times if she was sure my pancakes were gluten free and she said yes. Were they? No. I have the worst reaction now and will take MONTHS for me to heal. I am so upset I wish I could sue them for putting my health last! Never coming back!
