I have grown up in Hoffman estates all my life and have frequently gone to Asian Noodle House for lunch/dinner. In my teenage/high school years, this was a great place to dine because of the inexpensive menu (most dishes are around $5-7) and their extremely cheap bubble tea smoothies. The dishes that O usually get are the "Malaysian chow-Kuh-tao-mi" which is a noodle platter with a the meat you want and a lot of flavor. I also enjoy the combination fried rice (which includes scallops, shrimp, and a whole lot of fried rice) Lastly, the pho is decent too, however the broth is very heavy and tastes overall, more thick and sodium filled when compared to other places that make pho. Now that I am in my mid-twenties, I no longer dine here more than once every few months or so because the food is kind of heavy, not the best quality, and the place is kind of dirty. I have never gone there in my past ten years of life where the tables werent sticky... Overall, the waiting staff is ok (not particularly bad and not particularly rude). If youre looking for a quick, cheap meal, this is a solid choice. If youre willing to spend $10-12 on your meal, go elsewhere in the area (house of pho, viet house, yus mandarin, or China house).

Who knew a place with this bland name would be such a hidden gem that I should have known long ago. I mean how can you beat the amazing cheap prices especially in Schaumburg where taxes and food around the area will cost an arm and an eyebrow! But this place is legit! First of all the pho is great, it may not be the best but it is great in comparison to other places. Who can complain about good pho in the burbs. But what I do enjoy is the flavor of the fusion of Vietnamese dishes and Malaysian dishes. I mean where can you get the mixed famous Malaysian noodle dish that composed of two noodles, a spice of curry, with egg, meat, and bean sprouts that is bursting with flavor. I dont know where else you can get this. The fried rice is delicious as well, I had the curry beef fried rice which was flavorful and really mixes up the traditional fried rice. But do yourself a favor and get the yang chow fried rice which is a mandarin style fried rice and get a side of sweet and sour and combine those to get a taste of heaven. This is my secret I bestow on you. But yes the coffee is great and strong as well as the bubble tea; both will not cost you an toe either. So go and enjoy if you are in the area!

I didnt even stop in for a while because of the name, but it turns out that its absolutely rammed with locals from the asian community. This place is a very authentic restaurant with a unique (albeit spartan) interior that almost makes it feel like a restaurant youd find somewhere in a market in south east asia. On the whole, the food is okay. Quality is wide ranging, soups and noodle dishes are pretty good, while more traditional Americanized dishes like fried rice are not that great. The steamed buns looked appetizing but were a mess of too much dough, not enough heat, and some really terrible quality ingredients. Service is actually really good. Its almost like having a wait-in butler the way they find you when you come in and wait for you to order. Most dishes take about 10 minutes. The other thing to note is this place is super cheap. Theres no where else in town where youll be able to find these dishes at these prices. The trade off does come a bit in quality, but if youre looking for a cheap, quick, and very authentic place to just run through, its not bad.

This place serves up the most authentic Singaporean and Malaysian food that I know of. If you are from Singapore or Malaysia, be sure to ask them what specials they have, which are off the menu. You will not be disappointed if youre looking for a taste of home. If youre sticking to whats available on the menu, you will not be short of choices. They have a huge menu ranging from soups, to rice dishes to noodles dishes, all of which are cooked with either chicken, pork, beef or shrimp. If you are in the mood of asian food, you will definitely find something that you fancy here. The decor is not fantastic, in fact I think they have not renovated for years. The service is also nothing to rave about - its basic, they come, take your order and serve you. It is pretty prompt though, it has to be said. On the weekends, especially for dinner, the crowd does swell so you might be in for a bit of a wait, but its worth it.

I stopped by at 8:10 to order take out and the server was very rude and angry for some reason. It was not even close to closing time and theyre already cleaning and stacking chairs. The sign says they close at 9:00. The guy who took my order clearly hates his job and takes out his frustrations on the customers. I was traumatized. He was yelling at me in some foreign language and waving his arms. One lady who was dining in was apologizing for eating slow. Everything there is rushed. The men hover around and wait for you to finish so they can clean the tables. I was appalled at what I saw. The servers and the guy cleaning the tables looked sad and exhausted and just overworked. The whole experience ruined my appetite and just made me feel terrible. Im never going there again.

If you want cheap (like really cheap) Asian food for a great price then eat here. This place always has a steady crowd, mostly Asian so you know it has to be good. Big portions and great food. Were else can you get Duck w/ Rice for $4.95! The Vegetable Fried Rice is $3.50 and so much food that it is tough to finish! Basically you can get an appetizer for around $3.00, then order a rice dish for $5.00 with tip and tax your out the door for $10. At other places it costs $15-$20 out the door for the under $10 lunch specials. Remember you are paying for cheap and quick Asian food, not Iron Chef quality delights.

One of Chicagos best suburban Asian food places you could find lots of ethnic food that is very inexpensive and very many ethnic people do eat here all the time. If there are many ethnic people eating in a ethnic restaurant you know it will be good. I went in to get some food and boy I loved it was stuffed with the generous portions. I wish there were more ethnic restaurants like this around here especially Eastern European which is my ethnic background. This place is great I would highly recommend. Try it you will more than likely like it.

Always a great spot to have lunch when Im in town. The pho is stupid cheap, and while the broth lacks the flavor of somewhere like House of Pho, the quantity and quality of the meat is adequate to feel satisfied with my purchase. They include actual lychee in their frozen drinks, which is a rare feature. The service here is always fantastic. Youll have your food out in ten minutes or less. They really know how to turn tables and hope youll tip the difference in food prices seen at pricier noodle shops.
