Had a gift card to go here and when my girlfriend and I entered, the hostess wasnt at the front. There was a sign-in sheet on the front table where a couple had just signed in at. Not ever going there before, I signed my name right after the previous couple. The manager or owner came over to me and asked me what I was doing in a rude manner. I apologized and said I thought I was supposed to sign in. He said no, thats the hostesss job and that she was seating somebody. He said she wouldnt be able to read my handwriting. After talking to me like I was 5 years old and being rude right to my face infront of my girlfriend I told him "Sorry, Ill just cross my name out." He then said no no I can do that for you. Then he laughed as we left and snickered a joke to his coworkers and mentioned my name as we left. Apparently he could read my handwriting. He was a gray haired man in his 60s most likely.

Terrible terrible service!! Its an older crowd place for sure. Im in my mid twenties. And the staff completely disrecards my friends and I. I went there for dinner after a long day at work hoping to get a drink and a burger with a friend. We stood at the entrance for 7 minutes and were never seated or greeted. So we chose a seat next to the bar. 15 minutes of sitting down and still no one greeted us or offered to take our order. But all the older crowd was being served and seated no problem. We walked out after over 22 minutes of nothingness. Horrible.

Was in Chicago suburbs this last week and promised Id leave a good review for this place, not only because the owners are wonderful people but because the food is really freakin good. The place itself is reportedly haunted and it definitely has the mystique, but its the burger selection and quality of meat thats absolutely out of this world. The beer selection is good and even the mints as you leave taste great. Go there (and not the one out in Batavia)...

The food is great. Clarendon hills location needs to add on an addition. They cram the tables so close to each other you can hardly move around. They need to take some of those tables out so there is some space. I liked the food but didnt enjoy eating there. Just to move my chair back a bit to go to the bathroom i was bumping i to another chair. I had to squeeze out. They need to think more about the customers experience rather than their own pockets.

Stopped in for the first time by my self. Went to the the bar to have drink and order dinner to go. Stan the bartender was awsome! He made me feel welcomed and relaxed. I was thrown back by the peanuts in the shell that you just throw on the floor, i felt funny dropping the shells on the floor, last time I was at a restaurant like that was a ground round about 30 years ago! Thank you for being so nice! My dinner was just as awsome!

I grew up going to the location in Lisle with my family but now that I live in Downers Grove this location is my go to. Bonus is that the building is supposedly haunted. Now I am not one to believe in ghosts and I assure you I want to believe. But the only haunting this local staple is the ghosts of delicious big burgers and cold tasty beer. I love a bar that lets you eat peanuts and drop the shells on the floor!!

Just had the best burger Ive had there in a long time. on our past few visits, the burgers have been dry and tasteless. This time I had the Muffaletta burger...mozzarella, swiss, ham, salami, and olive salad ON TOP of the burger. Really good. Maybe they they recently got a new cook. Whatever it is, they saved themselves from losing a long time customer tonight.

We enjoy this restaurant. All the food weve had was really good. We havnt gone in a while because the fried catfish has been discontinued. The fried catfish was the reason we would make the trip from Bolingbrook. The bloody marys are also very good. We are sure we go when were in the area. Our favorite waitress is Heather. We were visiting Chicago, and this restaurant was on our route. Initially I liked the reviews, and the atmosphere. So we decided to try it. It was 100% worth the experience . The service was superb and the food was yummy. There was plenty of food on every plate. Excellent job. If I am in Chicago , then definitely I would eat there.

Ate at the location in Lisle all the time growing up when I was a kid. Moved away and came back to visit recently. Always wanted to try this location so after 22 years went to go eat at Country House. Food is even better than when i remember growing up. Awesome food and great atmosphere. Definitely going back when i visit.

I I liked House years Country House years ago and went there often. Decided to try it again several weeks ago and was very disappointed. The people were friendly but the service was slow and the food was dry and cold. Actually my bison burger was quite overdone. I probably wont go back.

Great burger with a fantastic patty of Ground Brisket, Short Rib, and Whole Chuck. The onion bun was weak and couldnt hold it together till the end which is why I give it a 4 out 5. One of the few places that make the steak fries crispy which is how it should be.

Good food, fast friendly service and great prices. The restaurant is a little small so could be noisy and crowded during busy times. Had the pretzel crusted walleye and the salmon sandwich and both were very tasty. Portions are good size.

What took us so long to eat here is a mystery but the homemade salad dressing alone is worth coming back for. The food was phenomenal and the service even better. Its a quaint little venue that fills up fast but worth the trip.

Great burgers and love the original location. Has a very loyal and authentic group of regulars. Plus they do steak fries right which not many do these days. Half and half, onion rings and fries is also a great option.

Foods good, however the waitress stole our change. Shorted us $5, then when we tried to flag her down, she wouldnt look at us. So watch your pocketbook when you go here, the waitstaff are crooks.

...could you move over just a bit? The tables are incredibly crowded together in this place. The food is quite tasty, but I think the dark atmosphere and crowded dining room bring the place down.

Great food and friendly staff. Sometimes service can be bad though, once we didnt get served for fifteen minutes while tables who got there afterwards got their food and ordered.

Wicked sick burgers and totally tubular bar. Come and challenge team Tro Thangs to Wednesday night trivia and get ruled. WE DONT LOSE. Except for last week, that was a fluke.
