this place is an embarrassment. its obvious the only way the owners could turn a profit by being cheap ia buy selling the lowest quality ingredients that i wouldnt call food. Its sad but its probaly 90% of similar businesses in westside & southside that wouldnt pass a sutprise inspection if they bribed somebody. have seen multiple times where they have been shutdown because of not being sanitary and boederline poisonous. im sorry i can type forever.

I was so excited to eat from Whales because I havent had their (Whales) food in awhile, however it was my first time getting it on Madison. The Chicken was Old ass hell, it was not chicken that was just cooked, but tasted like it was cooked over again or reheated chicken! I am mad as hell and will never eat from there again!! I couldnt take the food back because my ride is at work now!

The food was awful I call to complaint four times all I got was the run around I left my number the manger never called me back. My cheesecake had mold on it in my chicken wings were hard and old my fish was soggy Ive been eating from this place for many years this was the worst meal ever. It was so bad that I consider calling the Health Department

They charged my card twice for a meal, and when I would call to get a refund they would play games and give me the run around. Also pretend like their the manager when their not. I had to go through my bank to get a refund. The food is great but horrible customer service. If I was ever to go back I would only pay with cash.

This place is awesome. We went when the Black hawks were playing for the Stanley Cup. Although it looks like a hole in the wall spot...the food was phenomenal! The crab was full of flavor and I love the fact they give you fries with your meal.I have no complaints with this place!!!

I had an exceptional experience here. The small, warm setting added even more to the dining experience. The food was great and the service was amazing. I was given complimentary bruschetta and dessert and the waiter was charismatic. I definitely want to come back!

I always order okra from here but this time I got fried mushrooms. How can you slip up and give me mushrooms and laugh when I tell you Im allergic to it. Its a joke to them they should be put out of business. Im going to complain to the proper authorities

Whales on madison the fish is very good, the chicken is another matter,they should wait until the chicks are grown before they buy the chickens(the owner) the smallest chickens pieces i have ever seen in my life, i mean come on guys.
